The archery stance is more or less for a side shooting style. The archer will hold the bow horizontal while pulling the string back, not the most efficient way to shoot a bow but you can shoot it nonetheless.
He also could just have the arrow nocked but isn't actually ready to shoot yet. There's not much tension on the string. It's possible when he's ready he'll stand and draw, and if he uses a normal stance is palm will be facing his cheek like nornal. The only thing really strange to me is only his index finger is pulling the string which be really uncomfortable. Usually you'd have at least the index and middle finger, and maybe the ring finger depending on preference. But I think using just an indes would be possible if you trained enough that way. I don't want that callous.
@@jimbojones2211 The index finger.... my SO uses this technique while horseback shooting, they put some tension on the string so that the arrow doesn’t fall out. It shouldn’t anyway, but this way you can somehow controll the amount of vibration going into the string from the horse. It’s also much more comfortable. As for the string, it should definetly be under the hand, I can’t imagine anyone drawing and shooting like that, maybe it would be possible if the bow stayed horizontal...? But you would definetly hit the cloth on your arm and unsettle the arrow, meaning you would almost certainly miss

It actually gives an advantage for hunting in close surroundings like Forests. You don't have to reveal much of your body by Shooting like this while standing behind trees and so there is less movement that could alarm your prey. It is truly fascinating not just the information that you've brought to us, but also the way you do it. How you've gathered the information available and made a wholesome, detailed and easily comprehensible video for us to enjoy. Your passion for the lore is quite contagious! As for my case, I was just somewhat interested in it, but now you've made me passionate aswell! Bottom line is, the content you make for us is high quality, very fascinating and very enjoyable. We don't want to take it for granted, we don't want to take you for granted! Please keep being yourself and keep doing what you're passionate about! Thank you for everything that you do and for being yourself. Hope you receive lots of fame and fortune which you deserve. :)
I cannot wait for Legends of Runeterra. I have always loved the flavor text on the in-game items like deadmans plate and ancient coin, so seeing that we are finally getting some additional lore on some item origins makes me so excited. And I LOVE the lore of the Freljord. I do like the whole void born bit but I'd be even more excited for new gods or beasts yet to be discovered from the true north. I can't wait for the release!
Man I got goosebumps the further I watch this video, this game have so much potential that I believe they can do a lore event that moves the story further, much like hearthstone adventures I can imagine them doing an amazing job to do these kind of stuff. Guess we don't need an MMO to have the lore move forward and progress through, and I'm happy with this.
Necrit, yes technically that is a way that you could hold a bow but there is one major flaw in that his right arm should be over the bow as opposed to under it. The way that he is currently holding the bow he would be unable to perform a full draw as the string would be forced to stop at his shoulder area where you usually want to draw to your lips/nose. I had to check a few times as the hands that I use when I do archery are switched but the style he is holding it in would be fine if they were to move the arm holding the bow over the string as opposed to under it. Love the content man, keep up the good work.
When Legends of Runeterra, Arcane, and the other unlrevealed titles have been announced, I was immediatly hyped by the new lore and worldbuilding that will come along. Such a huge amount of new content is such a short time is sooooooooo cool. I just hope the Map of Runeterra isn't gonna be gathering dust for much longer... It's been a while since the last update
hey necrit. about the bow. this kinda style help you to walk/shoot more silently and in defferent ways. you can rotate bow much easier and even shot with more power and stability. but it's not an standard holding
All this new lore is making me so excited! I´m only getting more and more intrested in learning more about Runeterra. Great video btw, keep up the good work Necrit! :)
that arrow in his heart, isn't just in his heart, but it pierced through from the back, that's punching through ribs, and from the angle probably the lungs too. that's a brutal arrow shot
there are interactive lines that may hint at things of lore, such as the card "she who wanders". if it's played while a tryndamere is on the field tryndamere will say, "Fellwalkers? omens of dark times." or something along those lines. Essentially we know they are called fellwalkers.
That huge glowing eye-thing on She Who Wanders looks pretty much like the eye from 19:49 (a bit dimmer glow because it's covered in ice) and its structure, long neck and huge eye, make it a great observer(watcher) of a vast surrounding area. IMO these are actually the frozen watchers. And a sidenote - I honestly have no clue of the timeframe in which the card's story takes place, but as far as I can tell, we have no clue if Lissandra knows their awake or not. It might be the the advent of their reemergence. Oh, and I love the content, top quality and a keen eye for detail!
10:00 You can shoot a bow like that holding bow horizontally, but it's more suited for closer range and requires more practice, since it's harder to aim properly. It's like shooting a gun without using sights. It is faster and easier to shoot arrows in succession like this, though. Keeping arrow between index and middle finger is pretty normal, since you pull string with your fingers while holding arrow stable.
Something I noticed with the Enraged Yeti quote is that it's a reference to the Princess Bride. When discussing Rodents Of Unusual Size with Buttercup, Westley makes the comment, "R.O.U.S.'s? I just don't think they exi---" and is promptly attacked by one.
Yes it is how you shoot a bow. Notice how he is holding the arrow between the fore and middle finger, it is so you have more control while drawing back on the string, which by the looks of that bow would range between 40 and 80 lbs of pressure.
never seen or heard of style of archery where they pull the string over their hand but what i do know is that when you shoot a bow there is a style that they softhen their grip to the bow so that the remaining force of the bow will spin from underhand to overhand and will prevent the string on hitting your hand
She who wanders and the frozen giant creatures also remind me of the constellation shown when they announced Bard, with giants horns and multiple hands and the single giant eye. I got chills with that creature, srsly, I really hope they will cover this story soon.
My theory on Tryn is still that he picked up Aatrox and similar to Kayn fought the Darkin for dominance. Aatrox gave up trying to warp Tryndamere's body though due to it being too much hassle when there were other available vessels to inhabit but he still left a bit of himself in Tryn, hence his rage making him stronger, letting him survive life threatening injuries and heal his wounds
10:00 No, it is not a way to hold a bow. After you knock the arrow (Putting it on the string), you put three fingers on top of the string, one above the arrow, two below, and to fire, you pull it all the way back to your chin, aim, and release. You never hold it above your fingers unless you want some deep cuts on your fingers.
I just want to point out how absolutely clever all the moving pieces of the cards interactions and lore are. Before I had read the card descriptions, I had just heard Babbling Berg's play sounds. He says "It was big as a mountain!" "Eyes like torches!" "It was covered in Ice!" and I thought, that's funny, its just a senile old guy who saw some people walking on the side of a mountain and thought their torches were part of some nonsensical beast. Then you look into the yeti cards and you think, Ah, he must have seen a yeti, that makes more sense. And then they hit you with the true mixup, he was actually being completely accurate, it was no over-exaggerated yeti, he was actually being completely truthful. This is some quality stuff.
Just started playing LoR. Never got into LoL, but I love LoR! Also, I am a lore guy for other games (Brawlhalla, AppSir)! So, seeing your channel dedicated to LoL lore is very exciting! I will be paying a lot more attention to the cards to find these little clues and get engaged in the story! Do you know if there is a "wiki" of sorts that is dedicated solely to LoL lore? Well done on this video, and I look forward to more!
She who wanders is called a balestrider, which to frejlordians is a bad omen. You can even buy a cute little balestrider as a companion in the in game store.
I'm planning on running a dnd campaign once the lore book comes out taking in place in the Freljord. I'd love it if you would make a video with all the lore on it that we've gotten so far!
I just want to say that the massive "hole" on the head of She Who Wanders could very well be the eye under the ice at 19:50. So maybe more of those things are trapped under the ice? Also, when you said "Remember, Freljord is not the most northern part of Runeterra. There is the True North as well." So, Canada is in Runeterra now? :P
The way the Avarosans draw the bow is similar to the Mongolian way of drawing a bow. It gives speed and stability to the arrow when firing an arrow when you are mounted or moving.
I really want a Skyrim-like RPG set in the Freljord+North, having these massive eldritch creatures roaming around would really sell the "insignificant character in a massive ancient frozen land" feel.
Many must've thought about this already, but my theory is that Tryndamere's undying ability comes from him battling off Kindred. I think actually all Fjeljordian creatures give Kindred a hard time reaping them, which is why they are so hard to kill. I got the idea originally from your 'Still here' -analysis.
I'm pretty sure the feral mystic is a follower of the colinear, because when his ability activates (after being enlightened) he is saying probably in pain: my body isn't mine anymore or something very similar. So it suggests he is possessed by the volibear or something like that.
Anivia in her own eyes: subtle, calm, and everything she does is righteus Anivia in old legends: Imma tickle my bro Ornn's nose so that he will burn his precious house down becosue Imma jelous of it

Dang they got some beefy men in the art
That Poro herder can milk me anytime
PLEASE make more of these. This was genuinely the most exciting and interesting lore episode I've seen so far
Necrit, I would like to say on behalf of all of us who are subscribed to you and who watches your content.
Thank you so much for making all these videos related to League of Legends lore.
i bet the riot employees that write all the lore for these things really enjoy watching necrit uncover everything and share it to everyone.
Sat down and watched the entire video! Awesome lore delving dude! If they have more void lore, please lemme have it. I need it!
These worldbuilding bits are SO GOOD! Please make more of these videos!
Shadow Isles would be pretty cool. Feels like there is not too much on the region on a lower level. Anyway love the video.
Keep up the Awesome!!!
The Shadow Isles seems to be the most interesting area to cover next! Can’t wait for the next vid Netcrit just loving it
Wait poro's have hearts on their bellies?!?! I had no idea god that is so cute.
All this new lore is making me so excited! I´m only getting more and more intrested in learning more about Runeterra.
Great video btw, keep up the good work Necrit! :)
Riot Games next Animated Series: "Bjerg"
Riot needs to pay this guy for the work he does, or put his videos on the client home page
This is like looking through Yu-Gi-Oh cards for lore and I love it! Keep it up, I'm here for it.
I love the time you take for every video with crazy things for the lore of league, your work is always amazing!!
Freljord is my favorite region for lore and art. Great vid man
that arrow in his heart, isn't just in his heart, but it pierced through from the back, that's punching through ribs, and from the angle probably the lungs too. that's a brutal arrow shot
there are interactive lines that may hint at things of lore, such as the card "she who wanders". if it's played while a tryndamere is on the field tryndamere will say, "Fellwalkers? omens of dark times." or something along those lines.
I thought I heard Lissandra saying "Flesh freezes so easily" , not flash freezing.
It's a pun
10:00 You can shoot a bow like that holding bow horizontally, but it's more suited for closer range and requires more practice, since it's harder to aim properly. It's like shooting a gun without using sights. It is faster and easier to shoot arrows in succession like this, though.
Keeping arrow between index and middle finger is pretty normal, since you pull string with your fingers while holding arrow stable.
I really enjoyed this video, I love freljord and I absolutely love new lore! Very good job explaining everything and nice video.
10:18 You can see the yeti at the back of the Avarossan Trapper which was summoned after playing the trapper.
Interesting fact "She who wanders" is called Baley in the guardian shop and it is an omen of death
The Braum's lv 2 card is he helping the Yeti he punched standing up. That man is wholesome
Something I noticed with the Enraged Yeti quote is that it's a reference to the Princess Bride. When discussing Rodents Of Unusual Size with Buttercup, Westley makes the comment, "R.O.U.S.'s? I just don't think they exi---" and is promptly attacked by one.
Tryndamere actually reacts to She Who Wanders saying “balestriders... a poor omen” or something to that effect
Ok so Gregor the guardian is standing in something that looks exactly like those wyrding stones on howling abyss

1. Interesting Name
2. Holy shit is he still alive, did his arms fall off??
Î really like your delivery on the Bjerg quotes, Necrit ^^
My theory on Tryn is still that he picked up Aatrox and similar to Kayn fought the Darkin for dominance. Aatrox gave up trying to warp Tryndamere's body though due to it being too much hassle when there were other available vessels to inhabit but he still left a bit of himself in Tryn, hence his rage making him stronger, letting him survive life threatening injuries and heal his wounds
This is the content I was expecting for from you when I heard they will do a card game
10:00
No, it is not a way to hold a bow. After you knock the arrow (Putting it on the string), you put three fingers on top of the string, one above the arrow, two below, and to fire, you pull it all the way back to your chin, aim, and release. You never hold it above your fingers unless you want some deep cuts on your fingers.
I damnn loved this one.
Keep up the amazing work man!
I watch them all
10:45 Lissandra isn’t saying “flash freeze” she’s saying “flesh freezes”
She says *fresh freezes so easily*
And flash freeze is when something freezes in an instant
@@danteyr1 it clearly says flesh. She means that bare flesh of her enemies is easy to freeze.
Dan Dantey Dude you can clearly hear say the “L”
@@sovietblyatypus wait what did I say then? Mind explaining?
@@danteyr1 You said "fresh", not flesh.
DUDE PLEASE DO MORE, this video was so fucking fun
I love the detail, that the Scene of Bjerg is particually seen in the Art of the Tavern bevore!
Keep this kind of videos coming! I love it!
I gotta admit, this is cool. The Babbling Bjerg and its connections to other cards as well.
Maybe every once in a while in the Howling Abyss, you can see She who Wanders in the background. That would be amazing
We got Volibear in the background instead
This is amazing! I love Legends of Runeterra and all the new lore that comes with it
Necrit: "SEE THE HANDS CRAWLING DOWN THIS CREATURES LEGS?!? AMAZING! BEAUTIFUL!!"
me: "I-I'm good! I'm gonna...pass on that one... :) "
She who wanders is called a balestrider, which to frejlordians is a bad omen. You can even buy a cute little balestrider as a companion in the in game store.
Love this kind of video! :D Zaun and piltover would be really cool for the next video
Oh man i love how you pronouce these nordic names xD inGVAR. Love your vids, keep it up, this lore is shaping up to be really interesting!
I'm planning on running a dnd campaign once the lore book comes out taking in place in the Freljord. I'd love it if you would make a video with all the lore on it that we've gotten so far!
Everyone's going crazy over Sirenhead.
The instant I saw "She who wanders" I felt shivers up my spine.
The reason, for why Braum is so strong is simple. HAVE YOU NOT SEEN THAT MUSTACHE?!?
I just want to say that the massive "hole" on the head of She Who Wanders could very well be the eye under the ice at 19:50. So maybe more of those things are trapped under the ice?
Also, when you said "Remember, Freljord is not the most northern part of Runeterra. There is the True North as well." So, Canada is in Runeterra now? :P
The way the Avarosans draw the bow is similar to the Mongolian way of drawing a bow. It gives speed and stability to the arrow when firing an arrow when you are mounted or moving.
The gigantic creature at the end is super creepy that chill got my spine. Damn...
I need a Runeterra series with 20 seasons.
I'm pretty sure the feral mystic is a follower of the colinear, because when his ability activates (after being enlightened) he is saying probably in pain: my body isn't mine anymore or something very similar. So it suggests he is possessed by the volibear or something like that.
I got into LoL lore about 2 months ago! I'm so happy with all this
When you play vrynna with Vladimir, he says do you remember those great thing we have done, or something like that. Vlad hides a lot of lore.
But what about the interactions in the cards during a gameee
Anivia in her own eyes: subtle, calm, and everything she does is righteus
Anivia in old legends: Imma tickle my bro Ornn's nose so that he will burn his precious house down becosue Imma jelous of it
