Awesome little truck, flick micro switch number 1 on the remote it gives fwd/reverse instead of fwd/brake/ reverse 👍🏼
Fyi according to Tomley RC, you can use the dip switch on the controller to change drive mode

The dip switches on the remote changes from fwd/rev and fwd/brk/rev. I think a drag brake function as well. But, I'm not 100% sure about the drag brake part. Thomley RC has a pretty good review of this truck too. The white one is pretty slick looking too!
FMS makes always very good products. The day they find the way to have oil filled dampers........ but now here we have a war in the neighborhood and our feeling against Russia, Cina and other are not so good and it's quite difficult to give money to them....Sadly It will be a long story. Ciao!
I think they remedied the plastic portal gears, but the transmission, and different are still plastic.

This truck has some nice features. The timing is interesting. It's coming out before the new Traxxas 1/18 scale.
I don’t think this is meant to compete with the Traxxas or even occupies the same space. Personally, I hope this inspires more companies to get into the small scale MT market.
@@hmisay4976 FMS sells a lot of different, very good small scale trucks or vehicles. Some are 1/18. If the early reports are accurate, the new Traxxas mini will be 1/18 and will be cheaper. He could take some business away from FMS.

Very nice! The FCX24 is soso, but this thing is awesome! I bought monster truck tires for my SCX24, but this is so much better!
How is it “soso” other than plastic gears.
@@INSIDIOUS-ONE out of the box, tires aren't really good for crawling, and wheels aren't standard for easy swaps. So new wheels, and tires should ordered along side it, unless you just want a decent overland rig. The rear end is also pretty light. That's about it so far from my experience. Oh, and the plastic body clips do break pretty easily.
Was excited to see this until I realized the speed of it is a bit sluggish now I'm on the fence. Possibly a better aftermarket motor would work. But very cool.
I wish they would sell these cheaper as truck without a body. I want to use model car bodies and do a usa1 Chevy monster truck. I mean I'm probably still going to get one.

Big mistake.. I have an fms, cheap, kinda fun.. but don’t let it break. Or else, it’s done. Zero support, and good luck finding parts for it.

@@EdgeBauer yep same thing happened to me with the fms 6x6, super cheap parts that break. Don't really get the hype honestly, I'm getting the Trx4m for sure, probably the Bronco and if it's amazing then the Defender also!
after learning more about the trx4m I'm kind of disappointed. It's missing all the things that made the original trx4 so special, I would have expected portal axles at the least. I also already have a mini crawler, and the trx4m offers nothing new aside from being slightly larger. This new FMS looks to have a different kind of indoor fun potential.
@@namespolicy7747 Yea I can agree there but I think the trx4m will last longer and withstand more abuse, it will also have more upgrades and parts. 150 dollars for the trx4m is a really good deal imo. When I first seen it I thought it would be at least 250. Not bashing on this FMS, I think it is cool for what it is.

Think it would be possible to swap the gears in the portals for more speed?
How about 4WS? I assume a channel would have to be sacrificed for another steering servo.
Are there options for changing pinion and sour gears?

Can you help me confirm this..... The original shipment of these trucks had a different radio and esc. The original radio had the rotary dials and the 4 white switches, one of them which would change the profile of the esc for 100% drag brake for crawling. The newest version, like the one on this video, has a different radio and esc. I can't find any of the original releases and email FMS and this was part of their response, "Also, The 1/24 Smasher RTR added the drag braking function on the ESC of the car, and it can stop without drag braking on steep slopes below 45 degrees, and it can be realized without the transmitter." Can you confirm this feature/capability for me?

It’s definitely awesome & will be getting a few but lose the portals!! I get it they had thousands from the crawlers, monster trucks don’t have portals! Hopefully they or someone comes out with portal deletes or fms starts making solid axles!! Awesome vid as always!!
they have solid axles on the 1/18 scale so they do make solid axles and i havnt had any issues with my solid axles in my fms k10 as they come with metal gears and work great

And “punch” is such an over used word for a motor, can you start describing things better? Punch can mean anything
Punch can mean motor start up torque, it can mean high acceleration on a roll, it can mean instant wheel speed inertia to rock the chassis up and down…..
For some reason I see he’s getting very boring very quick.
Plus I heard that they needed upgraded on the port Axel's,I personally would stay away , causes when I had portal axles I had lots of truoble breaking
Last night I saw it on Amazon, thought about it,then the next day I said ok so went to order it Amazon couldn't,even show anything about it, like it never was there,and I only saw the white one, which is none now three different wholesalelers,no nothing
