DUNAMIS - Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time - 2024 - Reflections (Tamil) by V. Arul Raj

Jesus affirms life against the onslaught of all death-dealing forces. He is the face of the God of life. His "dunamis" (mighty work) of raising the daughter of Jairus is a clear indication of life affirming mission of Jesus.
We live in a "culture of death", as Pope John Paul II points out in his 1995 document, titled "Evangelium Vitae" (The Gospel of Life"). Abortion and Euthanasia strike at the foundation of life in its infancy and in its last moments.
The Gospel today calls a "culture of life" against the culture of death. Pro-life is the Gospel value today.
