Just did this swap on my 2000 FLHRCI. 'CEPT I used a sifton cv carb to save a little money. Carb was like $240. And my Dynatek doesn't use the cam sensor. Doesn't start really fast but they said I would notice that because it doesn't use the cam sensor. But other than that it runs beautiful.
Have a 2001 roadking classic touring . Getting ready to pull the trigger and purchase one of the conversion kits . The magnetti marelli fuel injection is history .
I hear ya no computer is the way to go. Really good throttle response and has that carb idle. working on the jetting because of my elevation but other wise good choice. Next week I should have the video out on converting the fuel to petcock so stay tuned and thanks for watching.
@@desertdogsgaragemetalworks3843 Hi, can I put the dynatek tc88 on my road king 2001 without changing the carb? What happen if I install the dynatek and the namz wiring without changing anything else? Thanks
Was looking at the Mikuni also but my wife has a Super E on here 86 FLST and I have jets and parts for hers so I don't have to purchase parts. Plus am I kinda a S&S guy American made from my home State of Wisconsin.
@@desertdogsgaragemetalworks3843 When the FI failed on my Evo Road King I converted to Mikuni HRS42 and points ignition and junked all the wiring, sensors and icu. The speedo has a chip in itself so was not affected. She has never run better. Very quick throttle response now, better mpg than FI and, if something should go wrong with the fuel or ignition system when out and about it's an easy fix on the go 😎. Sometimes I think old tech is the best. Thanks for your video - I enjoyed it.
Enjoyed your video. I have a 2003 heritage springer go. Let it set to long and now nothing but trouble. Replaced everything in the tank but now it's back to acting up again . Maybe the senders, who knows. Wanted to keep it original because it's the only new Harley I 've ever had,the rest where swap meet special s . I want to go back to Old School bikes that with just a few tools you can fix it on the road side and ride it home instead of calling AAA ! Have a nice day.

This is why I'm hanging on to my carburetor '98 heritage evo. It looks like you pulled an octopus out of there.😄
Lol on the octopus. Ya the EFI felt Limited and the carb fells strong. Thanks for watching.

Curious to know why you did not go with a HSR 42 Mikuni carb? They really shift!

By the way how is that Mikuni? They make good stuff.
