Thank you! I am not the best at drawing but really love fashion and want to bring some clothes I imagine to life. I hope these apps will help me get better:)
Thanks for watching and commenting. I've only ever used iPad so can't comment on Android, but I can say that I've enjoyed the experience of using an ipad to design. Specific models really depends on what kind of software you plan to use. For example, I had an iPad air for a long time and was running ProCreate on it without issue, but when Adobe came out with their software on iPad, I had to upgrade because it wouldn't run on the iPad version I had.
Just want to make sure I understand what you’re asking. You’re looking for alternatives to Illustrator because you DON’T have an iPad? Assume you have an Android tablet?
@@amnajanjua5072 Any of the newer iPads would be fine, even the iPad air. If you're using ProCreate, any of the models will run it. If you're using the Adobe Cloud programs, you need specific versions of the iPad, but again, I believe at this point, all of the newer ones can run it.
@@amnajanjua5072 I believe any of the newest iPads will run any of the popular design programs. The only one you may need to check is the Adobe programs. At one time, you needed to make sure you have a certain level of iPad for them to run, but 3 years later, I think you should be fine with any of them. And any of the other apps mentioned in the video will work fine on any iPad. What you need to decide now is what size, and that's a matter of preference. I prefer the smaller one because it's more portable and lighter, but I've had the larger one. And if it's in your budger, I highly suggest you get a screen cover that makes it feel less slick and more like paper when you draw and an iPencil.
Hi, Kem Koka. Thanks for watching and commenting. I have an 8th generation ipad. It's pretty much the least expensive and smallest ipad you can get that run the software. Not all of the ipads have the capacity to run Illustrator and Photoshop, although if you just want to use something like Procreate and some of the other apps I discussed in this video, any of the iPad should be fine.
@@383design thank you so much for ur response it helped me so much and i think im going with an ipad 9generation. I was thinking of having only procreat adobe illustrator pinterest instagram and no other apps since it gonna be for work only. Lot of kiss😘😘😘😘
Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. Honestly, it's probably better to ask that question to someone who's already doing it. A couple to check out are Holly Nichols, Hayden Williams, and Megan Hess, but there's so many others right now. I know both Hayden and Holly are pretty active on their Instagram so maybe reach out to them and ask for some suggestions.
Hi, thanks for watching and commenting! It is kind of a bummer. In their defense, I know I've heard a developer say once that to develop an app that's compatible with both iOS and Android is like developing 2 different apps because the software to do it is so different. Perhaps they assessed their customers and found that the majority were iOS users so they went that route first. It's hard when you're an upstart and smaller company without VC or Big Tech $$ behind you:)

What are the best tablet brands for a fashion designer focused on illustration and design, and which specific models would you recommend?
