He's really incredible a person and a teacher.A lot of people should learn the art of teaching from him.Eddie has a lot of passion for his subject.Never fails to amuse me.Thanks a lot sir,
HOW IMPRESSIVE HE IS. THE FIRST TIME I WATCHED HIS CHANNEL AND HIS TEACHING STYLE IS SO COOL. I LEARNED FROM HIM HOW TO GIVE PRESENTATIONS IN SEMINARS ALSO.
This was a very good explanation. The C++ linear congruential engine for generating random numbers uses a multiplier of 16807 or 48271 and a modulus of 2^32/2-1 and now I'm wondering how the graph looks like for these values.
Lmao waht an enthusiastic class! So responsive to the prof! Most of my lectures students are so dull and unresponsive, they give just blank faces even if the prof asks a question or an opinion.
Nice video, quite frankly and I m confess, you made this topic appear to be really easy... could you please recommend a textbook for further reading...wouldn't mind if you send it to me via email...if you prefer. Waiting to hear from you.
Well no shit, its called pseudo-randomness for a reason. It looks random, but actually isnt. It's a way for the computer to simulate randomness. And yes, there is true randomness. At least from a human perspective of not being able to predict it. In a more philosophical sense maybe there is no randomness. But it's just like the question whether free will exists: Who cares? The answer to that question is completely inconsequential.
Is this fking high school? Why is the class so goddamn loud? WAY WAY louder than any college class Ive ever sat in. And you KNOW based on the careful placement of microphones, intended to pick up the lecturer and not the classroom, that the class is tenfold louder than what it sounds like in the video.
This is strange. Youre teaching an advanced topic of CS, but from your behaviour and the behaviour of the class it seems like youre doing it in a special ed class or sth like high school.
What a blessing Eddie Woo is. I've been scratching my head, reading the textbook and couldn't clearly comprehend LCGs. Thank you, brother!

Any teacher that can say "very very not prime" is a great teacher. And you sir, are the best.
You're a damn excellent teacher my friend! You make math super simple and exciting to learn about with the enthusiasm and charisma
what a teacher he is ! I had to goto the washroom but I held it back until the video finished
This course is really amazing. Students' reaction is really good and the teacher is also very good!!!
He just made it looks so simple. He must be a genius
Absolute excellence! You are bright.
Thanks man. From one math student to the next.

well because the lecturer is good lmao
you are a marvelous teacher. Wonderful.
love your enthusiasm
10/10 top stuff m8 love your channel. You should do more advanced topics like elliptical cryptography though. Would be cool. :)
i got it within 5 minutes. Thank you so much for this!
its all very good i just don't get why prime number modulo are less predictable then if the modulo is not a prime number?
If I heard correctly, the student wanted you to use the π symbol haha
Thank you so much for explaining it simply and directly.
Great explanation!
do i have to calculate all 499 times to be able to know the value of X500 ?
Thank u!!! It really helps me before the test😭
This is so much better than my prof
Really nice video.
Thank you so much friend.
very easy and effective . very nice.
where do you teach?
Awesome stuff! You really helped me understand this!
Dude you're the best.

Always wanted to learn math like this but I always got stuck with bad teachers. Except for 1 but after graduating lost contact with him.
my day is saved by woo
This is not randomness. Every outcome can be predicted. But, then again, does the true randomness even exist?

The background noise 😓😭
thank you so much sir, you've been very helpful
Why the hell my teachers aren't like you?!
Nice! Thank you
Thank you so much!
you are awesome :-)
Thanks man!
