- The year 2157. Astronaut Max makes an emergency landing on an unexplored planet, where he is taken prisoner by the aborigine Zef and surrendered to the authorities. The local social order resembles a militaristic dictatorship of the 20th century. The power belongs to anonymous rulers, the Unknown Fathers, who erect towers throughout the country, which propaganda calls anti-ballistic.

did we just watch a Warhammer 40k movie about a lost son of the Emperor?
BTW this is a russian movie😳✌
He wants to fight against inflation. We need him in our world!!
Can't believe they got all that in a single movie! Feels more like a miniseries.
This is AI generated for sure. A bunch of incoheerant waffle.
This is from the russian science fiction film "Inhabited Island", based on the book of same name. Bad movie, by the way. Book is much better.
Imagine going to the largest city on the other side of the world where you meet a stranger, let's call him Guy. Then many hours later, miles away from where you met Guy you strike up a conversation with a second stranger. How likely is it, that amongst millions of people in the city, this second person just happens to be Guy's sister?
Max look like a surfer. 😂😂
It is based on a Soviet cult book "obitayemyi ostrov' - inhabited island. Arkady and Boris Strugatsky - great book, absolute must to read to understand Soviet Era and the Power of SF in the Red Empire. And the book itself is a part of a Universum - Noon of Humanity. Beautiful hero's arch and deep sadness. Max originaly was called Maksym (mach-sym) Rościsławski - Soviet censors decided it to be too Polish so in later editions his surname is Kamerrer.
A "Unknown Planet ... Inhabited By People From 1900 AD" from the title is such an undersell. I see elements from 1984 and others but this plot stands on its own
It's fascinating to see Max's smile gradually disappears during the story... Fascinating but also very sad😢
pretty awesome backstory and visuals for a low budget flick.
Max is insanely handsome. It helps in all off world sci fi adventures
It's based on a book called Inhabited Island / Prisoners of Power (1967)
Hey this actually looks really cool! Thanks!
eliminate the spaceship thing and you get...Equilibrium
This actor should have been cast as Adam Warlock.
This Max guy should have played Adam Warlock.
this looks infinitely better than Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets
So many good stories I haven’t seen
