    Who knew an economy car could be sexy. I really like the mature, upscale styling. The new addition of automatic climate control is a nice touch. I might have to consider this next time I'm shopping.

    it is great how they are packing tech into cars and still letting us have cloth seating!

    • @palebeachbum
      @palebeachbum 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Yes! I hate leather. I like the Elantra Sport A LOT, but won't consider one for the simple fact it comes with standard leather. Driving a car with leather upholstery in FL is great if you like having constant swamp ass.

    • @joseledesma4776
      @joseledesma4776 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Even in colder climates (here in Canada), leather doesn't sound like a good idea. Its cold to the touch and in the winter if the heater for the seats don't kick in quick enough, well it sucks. I still prefer cloth seats for that matter.

    • @wolf4392
      @wolf4392 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't know why manufacturers force us to get leather seats on the top end variant. Can't there be an option of getting soft cloth upholstery? :( I. HATE. LEATHER.

    This "manual only on rock bottom trim" needs to die already. People in the US don't buy manual because they cannot afford upper trim -- they buy it because they WANT it.

  • @BanBiofuels

    Hyundai makes the best looking cars, tied only with Audi. This car is bigger than Honda Civics use to be, and has lots more power. I had a 84 Civic that had about 75 HP, and I thought that was enough. The 2018 Accent has 130 HP. A 2000 Camry only had 133 HP and a 1995 Camry had just 125 HP. People want all cars to have 400 HP or more. How many speeding tickets do they get? The new 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon has 840 HP. Is that really enough? Couldn't they have made the engine just a little bigger?

    • @BanBiofuels
      @BanBiofuels 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I know, and that saved the company from mediocrity. German engineered cars built by high IQ Koreans who own their own steel mill. That is a combination that is difficult to beat. I think Hyundai products are a real bargain as a result.

    • @TomTom-gn9mp
      @TomTom-gn9mp 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This car has been out in Russia, where it's called Hyundai Solaris, since early 2017. In Moscow, it's an incredibly popular choice for taxi drivers which would indicate good value and reliability. For people looking for more reviews, search хендай солярис обзор Тест драйв and watch with subtitles or translate sites with google translate. The car gets excellent reviews on the whole, the main drawback is noise from the wheel arches, apart from that it's a great car for the money.

    Why American general public prefers sedans over hatchbacks is beyond me...if you want a hatchback now you have to drive to Canada and get one. I mean, especially in a class of car like this, you’re only gonna be having that ONE car, you need practicality, and a hatchback gives you that. You can’t put long and tall items in the sedan trunk! Very nice upgrade from the previous version though

  • @azera55555
    @azera55555 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Looks so great inside and out. It looks just as premium as an Elantra and it's cheaper and has most of the featuers of an Elantra. This compared to a Nissan Versa or a Toyota Yaris is just night and day.
    Really disappointed in the new Kia Rio though because they took away the SX trim with those amazing rims and all the features that the SX had. It even had power folding mirrors which is almost unheard of in the midsize sedan class let alone the subcompact class. But sadly, the SX trim is no more.

    I have been researching a few cars in this price range. I am having a hard time finding a lot of positive information on this engine. Especially over the long haul. Yes, it gets praise for it's power and responsiveness, plus good "out the door" reviews, but as the miles rack up, the problems happen. Plus I read on a "Hyundai engine problem" website that this motor is good for 120,000 miles....and that's it. What's the story? I think my other 2 choices would be better...Yaris IA and Fit.
