    You can get a full lapidary machine with 6 wheels for $859 on ebay. If you are going to spend $590 on parts (not including the sand paper, water system,tax and the time/energy to build) you might as well just buy the 6 wheel (much better than two wheels)professional grinder/polisher for practically the same price plus time saved.
    Good job on the build anyway.

    I am in the process of making a device like this, a machine that was marketed as Rock's Bull Wheel. Covington has their version with a 1 inch shaft and 1and a half HP motor. Designed for commercial use for removing the material fast. To save money I will run mine off my rock saw motor.

      Purchase a digital photo sensor tachometer at harbor freight. You may have to change pullies to get the rpm of the wheels. That should not be more then 1,800 rpm. Keep on Rocking. Thank you for commenting.

    Why not put 2 wheels on each side? collar spacer on the inside. pvc or aluminum spacers in between

    Hey there buddy I just watch the video I think it said like 11 months ago or something you do this anyways you did a great job don’t pay attention to the people who only have negative things to say it’s kind of a bummer to read the comments but that doesn’t reflect anything on you I actually purchased a Highland that’s older than I am I’m born in 76 so point being not all the parts are there are you can get parts I’m sure but you help me out with so many things that I can just create myself and repurposing so the individual that said you weren’t building it because you were repurposing full of bologna macaroni once again you did an absolutely great job I appreciate it so much I’m actually having to figure out the water thing right now so I’m excited to go to the next video I subscribed I followed and I hope to see more stuff from you have a wonderful day

      Thank you for watching and for commenting. It is good to hear those out there making it happen. Me I have a 5 gallon water bucket setting on a Milk crate I bought from Home Depot. I plumbed in a little water valve and line and it free flows. I move the line to each drum as I need it. Keep on Rocking. You can get parts for the Highland Park equipment. It looks like you modified/repurposed a cell phone display. This isn't a built lapidary from things intended for other purposes. Video title is misleading click bait

    • @DanielMillerlife
      @DanielMillerlife  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The cell phone display is only a table or work bench to set everything up on. If you had a bench. Then you bolt the equipment to a piece of plywood and set on the bench. That is how it is constructed at the gem and mineral society club. It is not misleading at all.
