  • So the friendly lavender Orpington turns out to be a Rooster. I suspected he was, he was the most outgoing and adventurous and at 3 & a half weeks his comb got huge and turned pink and he is starting to get pink waddles as well. We are so sad we love him, but we are not allowed roosters here. we will have to find him a good home. Subscribe Please

We just had them in there while we got their coop ready and waiting for it to get a bit warmer outside. Then we only put them in there at night till it got warmer. ❤

If your close I'd love your rooster!! I have lavendar hens and I love them. I also have 5 speckled hens in same coop. So he'd have 10 hens.

Either I have a late bloomer or I actually have two female lavenders. I have two seven-week old lavender Orpingtons: one feathered out faster than the other and is gaining a bit of a pink shade to the comb.
