11 second 1/4 miles on street tires?!? In a Miata!!?!? It that even possible?

Apparently so, all night long. Had a fun time, made to the final round. I ran 2 12's, on a low boost practice pass and fendering an opponent in elimination who had a bad light. Went my fastest in the eighth mile yet, 99. Maybe if I leave it in 4th a little longer I can do 100. If I can do 100 in the eighth I will be satisfied with this car.

This was awesome! What tires are you running? I'm wondering how the contintental extreme contact all season tires would do on a turbo street car.

Thanks Pat! It was pretty fun beating up on cars with real tires. These are the Continental extreme contact sport tires 340tw I think. They need a burnout to hook up.

Also I bet if you adjust your launch control settings to hold the RPMs more steady, your consistency on the launches could improve.

I understand, but I don't like launch control, just can't seem to get used to it. Too many decades of driving old clunkers.
