I'm currently taking up PhD in Artificial Intelligence while working full time and undergoing personal crisis. This video gave me hope. Thanks. Cheers, Charlotte! 😍🤓🥰
The unproductive hobby idea is really useful. Coincidentally, I started applying this same idea on my routine a couple days ago, and I’m still struggling to find what works best for me in the sense that doing unproductive stuff makes me bored quickly. However, I’m already seeing some benefits in my general energy and creativity at work.
As a fourth-year PhD student, I find these suggestions really helpful when facing challenges. It's important to remember that making mistakes is not the end of the world and can be a part of the learning process. 😊 As for my hobbies, I enjoy photography and coffee. ☕ I'm always looking to improve my skills in making latte art and pour-over coffee, as I'm a natural coffee lover. Taking photos helps me appreciate the little beauties outside of the lab and reminds me that research is not my entire life. 😍
Especially love your final point-sometimes we as humans simply need to stop thinking (kinda philosophical I guess lol); just letting go and be-ing is essential for creative work & ourselves :) I also find this too, surrounding yourself with friends that can agree to disagree, otherwise constant debating can be really tiring too😅Thank you for the advice again, cheers!
I almost didn't watch this video, because from the thumbnail I thought you will talk about calendar blocking. But I'm glad I started watching anyway, you mentioned really good tips.
Final 5 months (one month till first draft, 2 months till final submission) thou does not have a personal life atm. It just writing and chain smoking. Each to their own. This video is gonna be exciting for insight!
Thank you for video! Could you tell please, how you've chosen your research area? Did you choose between wet and dry biology? I'm currently deciding between bioinformatics and experimental biology, and its hard for me to choose something certain.
Wat leuk ! Ik ben ook in PhD en ik leer Nederlands en Spaans in mijn vrije tijd, it helps me to balance serious PhD work out with some fun little conversations ;)

Truly agree with all the points and the most important being to have people with different interest and values.

I watched this video after completing setting a working environment at my home. Now, I would change it into a gaming environment.
