This brings back many good memories of watching the whole (long) video, "Nebraska Panhandle Rails," numerous times with my young sons in the early 90s.
Take note of two things, Luck was with you during the making of this video. It was shot before the city ordinance in Gering, Nebraska was passed forbidding trains to use their horns through town. Instead the city installed warning devices at each of their crossings. In addition, lucky catch of seeing BN's business cars on the front of that intermodal train at Belmont and catching one of Santa Fe's Kodachrome C30-7's on a C&NW coal train at Joyce, Nebraska. Also I've notice a Santa Fe War bonnet behind a UP Dash-8 at South Morrill. Know why exactly?
Hi SlackAction! Thank you for your comment and remembering us! Yes, this video is available on DVD. It is combined with Western South Dakota Railroads. Here is the link. cvptrains.com/Nebraska-Panhandle-Rails-&-Western-So-Dakota-RRs-p3897678

Howdy. I remember having this great video on VHS back in 1995-6. Is there any way of purchasing a digital copy?

The Cowboy Line no longer exists its being converted to a trail
those would be regular BN sd70mac's
no whistles are allowed thru Gering all crossings have automatic whistles now
