There’s no need to turn it to the right after the handle comes out. Just put the new handle in place, put a little pressure on it then go to the right. It’ll latch right on. No pick needed
You stopped the video when you were going to discuss putting the handle back on? I’m having a heel of an issue getting the handle back on. I don’t understand the needing a hook part?
It’s very easy actually once u figure it out. Basically u need to hook the part that grabs the inner part of the handle with a hook 🪝tool…it has cable resistance so u pull it towards you. Do it with the door open. Then once u have it fully pulled towards u, at the same time turn the tool that goes in the side hole of the door
When u Turn the tool on the side door id say 10 or more turns and you’ll realize the part u hooked stays in the position u pulled it towards you..that allows u to slide the handle back in and then u have to to turn the side hole tool back the other way so the hook will now grab and pull the handle in completely all the way again..
I did not replace or swap the lock cylinder so I'm not sure what steps are involved in that process. I'm sure with the door panel and handle off just take a peak inside with a flashlight to find out
Thanks 1st time working on this model

What if that bold keeps spinning I’m tryna replace a handle assembly and can’t remove the pice under the handle
What screws did you use?
It's a slim 5mm attachment that I used on my tool that fits right in the hole.
What about the lock cylinder?

Do u have to take the panel to remove the door lock?
If the truck unlocks by touching the handle, then yes
@izzygomez1990 Thanks for the quick response. It doesn't have that feature. Does that mean the side bolt will release the door lock?
@@danielben6960 yes
Panel only needs to come off to remove the cable for the keyless entry for trucks equipped with that feature
Your video helped a lot!! thank you Wrap family!
