Liverpool bought VVD and now have the 2nd most clean sheets in the league and most in the Champions league. Having even 1 top defender can change a lot.
Firstly VVD is more than a top defender. He's also a leader who organises the defense. Robertson at left back has also massively improved the defense.

I would love to observe a weeks worth of training at Arsenal fc to try to gather what exactly the coaching sessions consist of and how player's react in those sessions. It's clear to see that those defender's consistently make school boy/sunday league mistakes and I'm not convinced that those mistakes are being rectified on the training ground.
To not thank the fans who some were on coaches from 3am which means waking up even earlier some drove which is what a 6 or seven hour drive from London and to not have more than one player go and clap the fans lets you know they Don't care, they lack passion, desire and ultimately respect...

Give him Chiellini and Hummels and it won't solve anything because of the same old philosophy from wenger. Arsenal haven't got a proper DM since Alex Song, Coquelin was a very good DM imo but Wenger doesn't know how to utilize him. There is no organization, no leadership, no discipline etc. Wenger has got more than enough chances to fix it and he must go.

Watch how they support their teams in Germany, Turkey, Greece, Eastern Europe, France, and even Italy, it's constant singing from first kick til last, even when their teams lose. It's fanatical support. Liverpool, even on CL, doesn't compare to that. No club in England can.

Mustafi class at Valencia and Germany . I really think the coaching at arsenal is not up to speed .havent seen bellerin mustafi chambers or rob holding improve at arsenal. The amount of goals we conced is ridiculous.
on the mustafi thing: he is neither aerially dominant, strong, fast, technically gifted or any other aspect your look for in a centreback. the signing of mustafi never really made sense when considering our first choice koscielny his most likely partner isn't very dominant either. how do these people scout it literally makes zero sense as to why we bought him in the first place, we need a centreback in the summer with these traits. the only defender with these traits right now is Koulibaly of Napoli.

The best way to look at a manager is to look at the players they've made. Top players you've made.. Fab, Robin, Samir and you put Sanchez back in the light. The one thing they all had in common is that they became too big for ARS. Jack, Gibbs etc never reached their potential and ended up dead wood. Wenger will leave. Trust me

I'm not a regular viewer of Arsenal but I've watched them a handful of times this season, he had a shocker against man city in the league cup final but is he really that bad? I feel like he's just a scapegoat. Who scouted him? He was a regular defender in a team that won the world cup. I think it's inevitable with defenders at Arsenal, if he was at athletico madrid I would bet that he would be loved because they have a manager who knows how to defend.
