Romeo being a romance sim might be one of the most clever thing the developers did in this game

Coming from someone who loves Shakespeare and read all of Shakespeares plays, this is the best. The hood is GORGEOUS and the storyline is so lovely. I love the vibe of this hood with all the defaults and skies. I mean WOW. Shakespeare storyline for the Sims I’m honestly in love right now.

I agree with you. I first played the Sims 2 when I was 6 years old and who knew that it would help me in the future, since now I study literature in college. The Sims helped me so much to remember all of their names.
I felt this! Im obsessed with Shakespeare and TS2 as well so this hood is definitely my favorite. I have a rule for myself that when adding custom families to Veronaville they HAVE to be Shakespeare characters- I always add Hamlet characters first because it's my favorite of his plays❤
Cindy for baby names they have a Shakespearean names guide online to generate names from a Midsummer Night’s Dream or Romeo and Juliet, if you wanted to keep the theatre theme going with the families 🎭☺️ I can’t wait to see what drama unfolds !!!

Lol. Don't worry, I have a plan! I'll be moving the Academie Le Tour students back into Veronaville after college. AND...I'm going to add the townies back in myself. Hopefully some of them won't be related. 😆
The one thing I remember about this ‘hood is how Bianca Monty and Kent Capp are hinted at being involved, but Kent has a little preference for... men. Lol. Wonder what Maxis was planning with that!

In my game he was kidnapped by aliens, and I find it interesting that Capp`s genes combine good with alians
Actually, I just checked, and Kent is actually bi. His gender preference is set at 0 for women and 1 for men. His preference for women is not negative (just like Ripp in Strangetown, remember?) which means that he's bi but leans to males. So he can still be involved with Bianca (pretty sure I had them get together when I was little... Or at least, I remember setting Bianca up with someone)
I loved this town in the sims 2 I used to add more families based of Shakespeare work to spice things up including Juliet fiancé
I'm going to add the playables from Academie Le Tour since I know nothing of Shakespeare. Lol
Pleasant Sims that’s fair. They teach it a lot in the uk and I some how became obsessed with it as a result

In my game Romeo rejected Juliet in their wedding (it wasn't planned!) so I decided to create Paris and make him marry Juliet... And after having one daughter, Juliet cheated Paris with Romeo... So Juliet get divorced and married Romeo (this time he said yes), having two more kids.
And now Paris is married to a very evil witch who has a cow-plant and a backyard full with tumbstones of the plant victims...
For the Summerdreams, I suggest you name Titania's 3rd child Quince, since it makes so much sense with A Midsummer Night's Dream, the play from which Maxis took inspiration from for this family.
Puck and Bottom already bear Titania and Oberon's servants' names, and to me it makes sense to name the child this way since Quince is another servant of them or something.
I personally like to play Veronaville by naming any future children using Shakespearean names, but I know that not everybody would be keen on diving into Shakespeare that much as I would, but perhaps the name sounds fine with you and it doesn't break your naming rules.
Love to see how this Veronaville LP turns out!!! I know you'll do great.
It doesn't feel right to me if Veronaville Sims don't have Shakespearean names.

Omg, I’m so glad you’re playing Veronaville! I loved this town as a kid so much for some reason, even though I had no idea who the heck Shakespeare was at the time (I was a 6-7 year old from Kazakhstan :D). I’m so excited to see how things will turn out!

When I was little playing Veronaville, only knew Romeo and Juliet 😂. Looking back now is fun, because my favourite Shakespeare play is A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Mercutio is the cutest in all Sims 2, I had a crush on him when I first played Veronaville. I would always make my sim teen self in Veronaville and she would always steal Mercutio from Hermia and Miranda. Good times :D

this feels so refreshing, i never got to play the sims 2 growing up but in the past few year got into the sims 4, and wow... i was missing out on a lot, the ideas are so overwhelming for storylines in the sims 2

I’ve never seen anyone kill Romeo & Juliet in their playthrough’s but i always do it because that’s how the story goes (the Shakespeare version at least)
I love this ideia! One day, i wish i could make a video like yours (10 years in the future in PV but in Veronaville). In my game, these two will have a child and Mercutio and Tybalt are dead.

I'm so glad you start playing veronaville!💖 I've started playing veronaville for a few weeks now and it's been really fun! In my game the capps and Monty's all had super strong chemistry even though they are enemies. I even got Isabella and Consort to hook up 😅

So excited for Veronaville! I love it's vibe with those facepaints and clothes, but I was always too scared to play it myself, because I feel like it's a really big commitment with this style, all the drama and Shakespeare. 😅

I've been getting back into the older sims games recently so i'm very excited to see this! Love LPs of premade sims and seeing how differently people play out the lore. I'm inspired by your wants-based way of playing, and I think I'll try that next time I pull the game up :D

I was playing a lot with this Veronaville at the start of the year, and I was in the Capp household with Regan and Kent. Kent wanted to be a teacher and Cornwall went into professional sports. I’m sure you sin don’t want to be told what to do with your sims, especially due to your play style, but I feel like that worked so well, so I thought I’d share that :).
I didn’t know you could order pets on amazon prime 😆. I wish I knew that earlier, I needed a Labrador the other week.
How gorgeous is Veronaville! 🏞 loving the new Let's Play and can't wait for more episodes. I'm sure Consort and Keira will be best buds in no time 💕

Looking forward to this! Watching your videos inspired me to make diagrams of the starting relationships and familial ties in the Sims 2 neighborhoods, and trying to do Veronaville is a mess; everyone knows each other! There's also a lot of one-sided relationships, IIRC Hermia's crush on Mercutio is one-sided which is why he didn't care about her kissing Puck in this episode.

Yay you are doing Veronaville! This was such a fun but stressful episode. Also fun fact there is only one dog in the history of Shakespeare plays and that is Crab from "The Two Gentlemen of Verona" considered Shakespeare's first play.

i forgot how beautiful verona will is and how much fun these families were!! i played with them before I knew about old billy shakes so i thought "hey, summerdream is such a pretty family. i will steal it" so almost all of my selfmade families had this name lol
having played the sims 2 as a kid i also never realized that this neighborhood was based on the plays and how the houses are literally inspired by old European houses with the stone base and wooden planks/spikes/whatever they're called lol

Noooooo waaay, I can't believe you're playing Veronaville! Awsome video! I'm really looking foward to see what drama will unfold. To be honest, I'm already shipping Romeo and Juliet and even though he's a romance sim I've seen him roll the want to marry Juliet! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!

I love how you were just like "screw it" and had Hermia and Puck have their first kiss at the store. All the necessary parties were present, so it makes sense to me!
I don't know about other people, but I love seeing how other simmers do things like figure out university! Waiting to see if they roll a want on the day they age up is a good one, and I completely relate to the stress of a running down Sim clock!
I go off a sort of criteria system in my game, where if my teens meet enough criteria they can go to college. Knowledge, Fortune, and Romance sims automatically are ahead because I feel like those three aspirations benefit/have the most fun at university. LTWs also play a role, because I feel like that's a sim's ultimate goal in life, so most sim's with career based LTWs are more likely to go to college and if a sim has a career LTW that corresponds with something that I feel needs a college dregree (Medical, Law, Science) then they also score a point in going to university. The exception being if it's not a degree required career (by my rules, not Maxis's) and they get a teen job in that career, then college is less likely in their future since they are already on their chosen career path and benefit more from staying put. And since I'm such a stickler about keeping their ages right, sims who don't go to college get their own little Young Adult time where I use SimBlender to keep them from aging until they would've graduated had they gone to university. This way everyone ages the same (unless someone has elixir) regardless of when they went to college/moved out/whatever.

In my Veronaville Mercutio went to university with Tibalt, they finally made up and created the coolest Greek house in Academie le Tour :)

In my current game ACR made Tybalt gay which I think is a great storyline for him, I am looking forward to him finding a nice guy in college and maybe working out some of his anger issues...
I completely forgot to check his gender preference, so it's possible he's gay here too! I would LOVE that! Guess we'll find out in college!
I prefer Romeo being with Hermia and Juliet being with Mercucio, because by the timing you discover that they have more chemistry. And they make (almost) perfect families (it's hard to build a perfect marriage with the romance sim).
That was such a close call with Hermia heading to college xD
