Thought for sorting the logs. Make a template for measuring your logs, then have two spray cans handy, red for oversize, Green for the factory and some other color(or no color) for the small stuff/twisted logs. Then you can easily sort them with the digger later:)
Hey there Archie! Really enjoyed the update video and hanging out with you today at the fuelwood factory! I enjoy the chat updates Archie, no need to apologize at all! @@oakfarmfirewood I do 3 high empty, full might be pushing it. But even stacking 2 high would give me 50% more room for seasoning. I just always forget to stop splitting when they are level full!
How often do you get a splinter from handling the blocks with your bare hands? And what has your gnarliest splinter been like? I presume you have hands as rough as the back end of an armadillo by now 😂
Hi, have you checked out these unicorn screw type splitter's for excavators. It could be something to bring the big ones down in size before they go in too the Palax?
So I manually have to use the remote to power the log deck to bring on the next log. Once on the feed rollers it is automated from there. That being said using the remote to put up the next bit of wood makes for a smoother operation
With your bag holder where it holds the loops weld some c channel in to to it to hold the loops that are slightly bigger than your forks they can then slot down the rails and pick the bag straight up
Could even mount the 2 arms to a scrap ibc so they are sticking out the one side. when you next pour concrete any left over put it in the ibc and just slot your bag holder over the ibc that way your not modifying or damaging your current holder and would not be coating anything but the scrap ibc and waste concrete

Jre 1000 was great 😂 I need to stop over filling my totes and level them off like you so I can stack them up, I’m running out of room
Was so funny! Yes definitely! Must be able to get 3 high with the tractor?

Every month or so but yes pretty rough just can’t stand gloves unless it’s cold. I’ve had a half inch splitter down my thumb before 😅
Finding the same this year, some of the bigger seasoned rounds are not dry at all. Polytunnell should surt em out!
Enjoyed the chat and general updates.
Love the chat, it’s great to hear your business plans and goals.
Thanks so much!
No need to apologise for chat! We like chat! Glad things are going smoothly.
Need two firewood bags of the end conveyor buddy 😊.
Love the wood processing industry 👍🏴
hello, I am from Czech republic I would like to ask where you can buy those ventilated big bags?
Hi, how much does an automatic line like this cost? +-?

Yes I have, I do find the make a big mess of the wood but maybe it’s something I have to do
Do you have to feed the logs from the log deck manually or is that automatically?

Yes I have seen them. I feel like they would need to be a lot heavier or fixed to the ground or they will slide with the bag
@oakfarmfirewood ratchet strap to a cage full of the rubbish behind them maybe ??
