DUDE! EXCELLENT VIDEO. I watched 10 no lie they don’t articulate so straight and to the point like you did. I hope you’re still making videos you’re great.
I just recently started watching hockey and didn't understand everything that was happening, and this video was so helpful! Looking forward to the next game I watch actually understanding some things :) Thank you!
Hey Molliee, offside can seem super complicated but the main thing to remember is that the puck needs to pass the Blueline before any of the attacking team's players. So when you're facing the other team's goalie, make sure the puck goes past the Blueline closest to that goalie before any of your teammates does. If you hear the ref yell "offside" just turn around and get back over the blue line and wait until all your teammates do the same. Then you can go back into the other team's zone. Does that make it more clear?
@@mollie479 no problem at all. If you're still a little fuzzy, it's a great thing to ask your coach. An on-ice demonstration can really help make things clear.
@@rinkthreads3353 You said the puck has to go before the skates but I've seen pros when controlling the puck go in skate first( skating backwards facing own goal) puck second and not get called for an offside. Did I miss anything?
@@rgonzalo511 no, but the refs sure did. Note that both skates need to cross the line before the puck for it it count and also that you can't be offside in your defensive zone (inside the Blueline of the end your goalie is in). You can only be offside in the offensive zone (the end the other team's goalie is in)
the intro: “what’s up buds”
