I'm surprised you didn't turn on frame generation in Cyberpunk. Granted there is artifacting that happens, but the frame boost you get is quite good with this laptop. Overall, great review! You got a sub from me.

@@HiHoSilverAway76 Its because of it running in 1200p (Because of the laptop 16:10 ratio so its 1920 x 1200) instead of 1080p, still an excellent fps

Asus Lenovo build quality isn’t good for 2023 version
Just bought that one on sale for 1349 in Switzerland, instead of 1749 which was the normal price for the model with i7, 4060, 16gb, 1TB ssd, 2560 x 1600 240hz. I am also so impressed. Not just with the performance, the display is awesome too. I had a macbook once before and i was like saying fuck apple, this nebula display is so much better with more vivid colors. Everything is awesome about this machine.
PS i think im becoming a ASUS Rog Fanboy lol It is my first Rog Laptop. Not everything is perfect, but none laptop is, there are always things that could have been done differently but that's life, but overall if i had to give it a number between 1 to 10 it would get a 9,8. They have done a great job really. I would have probably put the ports to the back like on the Legion lineup from Lenovo. I also would have removed the LED lightings in front of the screen, as they could distract one. But thats all.

Turn on path tracing in cyberpunk. There’s now way you had everything on ultra settings. I used to have a i9 4070 Strix and it couldn’t run cyberpunk with ultra ray and path tracing without dipping down to 20fps

Great Video! I recently got the Asus ROG Strix G16 with Nvidia RTX 4060/8GB and I don't get more than 85Hz with the HDMI output on the external LG widescreen (3440 x 1440/160 Hz), unless I set the resolution lower, which isn't either more than 120Hz and the USB-C Thunderbolt output does not bring more than 60Hz with the current adapter at the moment! This can not be?! Why didn't Asus install a mini display port connection here??? I do not understand that!

i got this laptop and i played pubg on ultra with silence mode with +60fps and the gpu averages at 50-80w while the temps are 70-80c...
why im on silence mode? well because if you switch to turbo mode, the GPU temps goes 60-70c because the fan will be running at 6000RPM (for silence mode it's 2800RPM). and it averages at 90-110w but the fps doesn't change that much... so better just play on silence mode with less fan noise😁also the fans completely switches off when you are just browsing
but after using it for a while now i found some problems
1- the lid becomes electric when plugged in and your body is on ground.
2- and there is coil whine... but the good thing is for mine the only time i can hear it is when the laptop is on battery... but when it's plugged in, the noise goes quieter that you wont even notice it unless if you put your ears on the keyboard 🤣.
I tried switching the GPU mode from ultimate to standard and optimized but the buzz is still there... you can just get rid of it by plugging in the charger.
3- although the build quality is not bad as you mentioned but you'll see fingerprints wherever you touch..
also i used blender and when i switched to rendered cycles mode using GPU, whenever i move the camera it starts to make noise
every time it tries to render whether if its plugged in or not... only noticed that on blender and not on games..
I am getting with rtx 4070,i9 13th gen but with 2K display resolution and I am not sure can I play latest games smoothly on native resolution?

I just bought a lenovo legion slim 5 with a rtx 4070 and ryzen 7480? I am thinking about trading it with this laptop eith a 4080 and a intel 7 13th gen, for only 300 euro's more. Is that worth it?

The i5 13450hx version with 4050 RTX is on sale in my country for €1299. I seriously consider getting it. What you guys think about the price/value? Seems like there's no better deal available in this spec range. My budget is like €1300 max.. Seems you also getting a laptop that is efficient at cooling its components. Not saying a TUF won't do the job but the Strix certainly must do a better job at it?
I wouldnt tbh. In general its still expensive. That performance can be had for less than that. Like the Dell G15 with the same specs is 250€ cheaper from the Dell website without any discount. If youre willing to go AMD for the cpu it can be even cheaper for basically the same performance and even less power draw. But the biggest issue with the G16 model is that there are different models all named similiar and you dont really know which one you get. If you get the wrong one especially the display is apparently really terrible. The price sounds like its one of the bad ones but idk. In general I would take a look into the lenovo legion or loq (cheaper) series. They have a wide selection of hardware from the known manufacturers like Intel, AMD and Nvidia. Their laptops are generally praised as great with really competitive pricing. Recently I configured a Legion 5 on their website with a 7840hs 8 core and a 4070 for 1500€. Didnt buy it but I was really really tempted.
Edit: I just now went onto their website into their LOQ gaming section and configured a 16 inch machine with a 7840hs (great cpu imo, im using one in a 13 inch portable) and a RTX 4060 for 1295€. If you got your own m.2 ssd and windows/linux etc and are willing to open the machine and buy an 8GB ddr5 sodimm stick you can get the price down to 1100€. 8GB sodimm ddr5 can be had for 20€ new online atm due to overmanufacturing of ddr5

Since yesterday they are, I'm looking at the LOQ 15 - AMD Ryzen 7840hs - 16gb DDR5 - RTX 4050 - 144hz for €1199.. This seems like a good price.. There is also an other model but it has the i7 13620h and a rtx 4060 for €1399. Always had intel for my desktops, this gonna be my first laptop.. Maybe I give AMD a try.. seems reasonable price for the AMD specced one..
@@ophiuckus1635 Well the 4060 beats the 4050 for gaming of course. For the cpus theres not much between them. Both should be fine. Though the Intel is effectively a 6 core for gaming.
Amd is usually cheaper so Im going for those atm. Recently got a zenbook 13 inch with a 7840u and it can literally run recent titles due to the rdna 3 graphics.

@@amelia8314 Dont know if its still relevant to answer at this point, but for others who are interested ,from a pure gaming point of view ,max difference between the 2 gpus is 15 %.I have seen less than 10 % difference in games. Laptop rtx 4070 is really poor for its name.SO from pure gaming aspect an extra 300 pounds is not really worth it. However from production tasks + gaming ,an extra 300 pounds may make sense.
