I find it comical that you can cheese one of the hardest boss fights in ark with an overlooked dino
The fact that you can do this with just one deinonychus is nuts. I had no idea you could avoid the dragon's hitbox like this

yes the milk protects you from the fire attack, normally the fire deals 20% of your max hp but if you use the milk you only take damage from his bite and the pts and dimorphodons

You can force feed the dein a custom food recipe. Dinos don't get any of the HP or Food from custom recipes, but they do get the stamina. I haven't tried it in a boss fight, but I have used it when flying across the map with an argy, I've also used it to lock an owl into its healing when raising baby wyvs.

From what I've heard the deinonychus bleed damage maxes out when you reach 600% melee, so anyone stressing about stats you would probably be fine stopping at 600% and then dumping the rest into health instead of going for 800% or higher.
yeah only reason i went 800 is since no imprint which would result in the actual 600 damage indeed

Yea no this doesn’t work lmao the deino gets absolutely destroyed by the pts before you even have a chance to get to the boss and mine was better then his stat and imprint wise. L waste of time
works 100% look at 1:33 what i do. you want to attack them and walk backwards at the same time so you do a lot of damage and do not get stuck

you do not need good flak for this but it will definitely help if you do, will allow you to make more mistakes
How are is he doing 6k to 8k damage when attacking the dragon???
that is the bleed effect of the deinonychus, it does 1% damage every couple seconds - of the Maximum total health of the target, that is why its so effective in using it for this boss

What deinoychus does 6k damage per bite?
as explained in the video this is bleed effect, a level 5 or a level 300 deinonychus would both deal 6K damage, the damage is based of the maxium health of the creature

i mean this guide is great in like 2 months time, but a 7kHP 600+melee dein before transfers is basically impossible unless you go to the extent of mutation breeding and its just not worth it, i think its still possible regardless but maybe use stats that are obtainable pre transfers, we have like 6kHP and 389melee with imprint and levels
if you find them top stats and fully level them the stats are not that far off but yeah might take a little breeding but honestly you could do it easy with stats you mentioned, point is im here to show you the solid strategy and you could do it with half the stats i used, but most people want a buffer in case they make some mistakes
Hi you think i can do dragon and manticore alpha with 1 yuti 15 khp and 19 deinonychuses all between 8 and 12 k hp and 2500 2700 meele damage but prim saddle on official?
should be doable yes, however the prim saddles seem dodgy try get atleast 70+ since that mean literly 3x more damage reduction well atleast for the normal damage, fire breath will hit you the same
great video but 873% melee and 9.8k health is not average stats for a deino lol
thnx and yes it's below average on official servers, but as you can see near the end of the video we still are more than ok health-wise. you can easily do this with a 400M and 4-k hp Deino
I was reading some of your replies and you’re saying i could do this with about 3k health and 300dmg with little error what if i were to bring in a few more deinos woukd that help me out or had a tribe mate on similar stat deino
bringing more dein will mainly help for the mate boost so you will deal more damage and take less damage however it might be more tricky to all bite its leg without him being able to hit you i would prefer do it solo so if anything go wrong it my fault. you can always practice in single player and spawn in the tributes for summon boss first

im literally saying im using official server settings, pretty obvious its not official with floating numbers. but i do know what setting to use so its exactly the same difficulty as if you would be playing official servers
have u tried this with a primitive deino saddle? If not do you think it'll work?
all depends on your stats and skills, i could do this easily yes. the fire attack of dragon will do 20% damage of your max health no matter if you have 1K or 10K HP and the saddle does not affect this, only his other attacks will.
@@JonnaX Oh i see, im more worried about the pteranodons doing all that dmg to my deino, thats why im unsure about a prim saddle haha

idk why it didnt work for me, no matter where i stood near it's left footthe boss kept turning and attacking me, I've tried 3 times. I'll keep trying and keep it updated if I succeed.
Tried it twice more, I've farmed relics, yuti lungs and god knows what else and this is a waste of time, it kills me every time it lands the second time. My bird has 15k hp and 1000+ attack + imprinting bonus and it still doesnt work. So all in all a massive waste of my time and resources -_-
I'm so fucking pissed I did exactly what the video said, made sure its the left leg and the same position you are, ( on the interior of the leg).

can u do this with 17 shadowmane lvl300 (no mutants), with 30k health, and 1k melee, does the shadowmane take reduced damage from the dragon or nah. is it worth using there roar or should i just sit at the back and do damage with the dein?
Shadowmanes are carnivores so they don’t take reduced damage

@@santiago6480 lol no, just get shadowmanes to 30k-40k health, and put rest on melee, 1.2k melee, or more if u want to kill boss really quick so u dont lose that much shadowmanes
I mean, not gonna say anything about how unrealistic 10k hp and 800% melee are, because you are right in one thing: a good saddle, wyvern milk and at least 3k hp is enough, so still ok
this is a simulation, and you have to remember its not imprinted to me so we really have a 7kHP and 600M deino, for some reason could not get a fert deino egg going so had to boost stat a bit to make up for it- and read pinned comment thnx :)
On official those stats are achievable. Been using deino for island dragon solo for awhile now this is nothing new.

note sure- you need to be on that exact spot so the dragon does not bite you, but maybe never really tried tbh but usually having more people join something where you have to be precise just complicates things

It’s doable duo but hell of a lot harder, it’s better if your duo runs a yuty for the dps buff. Good saddle and some points on health. Dragon will be going after the yuty so deino won’t need to worry that much about getting damaged, possible to run a bit less hp on deino that way. Make sure melee is 600 minimum that’s when bleed damage hits caps. Also where you get that ridiculous dps from. Rest in hp and enjoy a easy fight.

the ice cave where the skylord artifact is drops it and i beleive its also in the deep sea loot crate drops

The deino bleeding is scaled only by a percentage of the health, but the melee don't help the bleeding right?
yeah only a little bit, yet some would complain i use ''high stats'' reallity is you could do this with 3KHp and 300M but would leave you with little room to error but higher melee helps you kill the pts faster which is also important
Just wanna toss this out there, he said that it’s normal tame stats but a normal tame deino would be max 224 leveled. Bc you have to raise them from level 150 so leveled would be 224 or 220. So the stats are indeed unrealistic but still possible
the taming part was just cuz was not imprinted to me so you have to remember i do not get the boost so the stats are really 30% lower then what you see and all you have to do is, find some close to top tier HP and melee deino mix those stats together and the dino will already hatch around the 200 level mark leveled that is about 280, do a little breeding and you are there mate ;), also look at other videos where they fight dragon most would use 15K HP with like 2000 melee
@@JonnaX idc about other videos im talking about this one. And no you have a 280 lvl deino vs a 220. 50-74 point per stat difference. But the 30% imprint does nearly even it out i guess. idc not worried about it
You don’t even need the wyvern milk if you’re fast enough
yeah but that leaves you with very little room for error and farming alpha dragon takes a long time so there is no reason why you should not use it takes 5 min to get the milk :D and again this is with weak deino. this is much different than using the current ones they have on official
This is not normal states for deino , you basicly need to breed for some time to get this high dmg and HP so stop saying this is normal
read my pinned comment sir, 1st of its not imprinted so its 30% less hp and melee so we using 7Khp with 600 melee - which is not that hard to get after finding a good breeding pair and fully leveled and a bit of breeding, and look what hp we got left near the end, we just here to show the strategy with fairly basic stats, compare this to the other videos where they do it on the island with much higher current official stats
Most people play single player or unofficial everything is boosted on those. So easy to get such a deino in a couple of days. If you play official this isn’t hard to achieve either takes a bit of time just needs a couple of muts on both hp and melee rest you can achieve with leveling.
Getting a fully imprinted dein to 400 melee is very easy and you can probably do it on your first dein. With your imprint that would put your damage around 520 so almost maxed. 600 melee is the cap on bleed damage and since everything has diminished returns having 520(400+imprint) should be good enough. That would still put you at around only 3k hp though so just be careful.
If you can get your dein to 475-480 melee + imprint then you should be at right around 600 damage while riding the dien.
it is normal and easy to achieve stats for this. Literally go get any Dinon egg 150, there are 100's around the map.
@UCIFPVMvhjw5QF5SykSGocDg I'll show you the stats of mine. Freshly hatched from eggs you just picked up and youget the stats in the video. The dinos stats aren't the issue dude. Mine has 10k hp and 2000% damage, after breeding them ONCE so its insanely easy to get those stats.
Dude max level for deins is like 220 something there's no way it reaches 288
At least on Fjordur

read pinned comment sir, and its not about the levels. its about showing the proper strategy and tips to defeat it, and look how much hp we got left near end, its so hard to please everyone beside is you mix some top stats its easy to gain a bunch of levels. finding them ofc takes time
