Demon's Crest (in Japanese is Demon's Blazon Makaimura Monsho hen) is a game of Super Nintendo, released in 1994, developed and produced by Capcom. The game is a platform genre, but has strong RPG elements. Demon's Crest is part of the series: Gargoyle's Quest and Ghosts'n Goblins.
The game tells the story of a civil war in the kingdom of demons, this war was caused by the mysterious appearance of crests in the realm of demons, if the crests are gathered the bearer of them earn unlimited powers. Then the demon Firebrand (Red Arremer in Japan) known character of the series Gargoyle's Quest (a spin-off of another famous series: Ghosts' n Goblins), win the civil war and conquer five of the six crests. The last was with a dragon, Firebrand can beat him up, but leaves the fight badly injured and ends up being stolen by another demon called Phalanx, leaving Firebrand only with one piece of Fire Crest. This is where the game starts you in control of Firebrand hunting the other amulets and other parts of the crest of fire.
The game have many influences of Mega Man and Castlevania in your gameplay and soundtrack. Each crest gives different powers to our demon Firebrand. This run is 100%, includes all items, the best ending and the cruel struggle with Dark Demon. -

The art, the game play, the music; this game is a true masterpiece. A tragically underrated game. The music alone makes it a great. Dark, atmospheric, melancholy, and blending perfectly in with the level and character art.

I hope they make a Ghosts 'n Goblins Collection for modern consoles, kinda like what they did with Mega Man Legacy Collections (Classic, X, Zero/ZX). And of course, I want them to include Gargoyle's Quest trilogy as well. I'm really hoping for more retro game collections from Capcom! So far, we only have Mega Man Legacy Collections, Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection and Disney Afternoon Collection.

Even if the data dies one day (I know, it will), this item will stick with me forever. It has personal value which is actually more to me than money, because I wouldn't ever sell it anyway.
So, when I feel like playing DC, I only do it via emulator.
My modules are kept as collector's items and emulated roms bring back the memories in an instant - with optional filters for higher sharpness and other comfort features.

I love how you can defeat fire, with more fire. I would sure love to see a Kamen Rider based on this guy.

Hmm, I think the second ending's translation is a bit botched.
I believe what happened is that Firebrand slain the dark demon, then set out for the human realm in hope of finding a powerful warrior (which may be King Arthur if Firebrand is a certain red demon in the Ghosts N' Goblins series).

Capcom was firing on all cylinders in the 90s. I don't think that, as a child living through the 90s, I appreciated them enough at the time. It's only in hindsight as a nearly 40 year old adult man that I can properly recognize that now... 😕

I'm guessing that when Lucifer fell from Heaven, these stones fell with him into the demon realm. Lucifer went to the human realm and Arthur defeated him with the Psycho Canon given to him by Saint Michael while Firebrand obtained the 6 crests? Someone realllly needs to make a timeline video for this game series, holy shit man.

This is some absolutely absurd skill on the player's part. I can't believe the title of this video doesn't somehow indicate that, like "SNES Longplay of Demon's Crest by Jackie Chan" or something.
    VERY nicely done.

I grew up playing the SNES version of Aladdin, now I recently got a switch and downloaded the SNES and went into this game as soon as I saw the name and the box art, really caught my attention, I had never heard of it. I can really tell it was made by the same people who made Aladdin, the music, art, and character movements are very similar

When i was a kid i sucked at games but played all of then nonetheless. And as i saw the new Ghosts n' Goblins Ressurection i remembered the Red Demon (there is a demon that is very similar) and though "i never beaten Demon's Crest!" and wow, what a creative platformer!! Even in the first level, everything is boiling with style and creative decisions... Like... 3d platforms in that column?! And later, using the fire gargoyle to lit the torchs, the air to fly higher and the ground to slam rock statues?! It even have extra bosses, ffs! Damn, this too cool! A underrated masterpiece indeed

This is a TAS dude, it's just not stated in the video.
World of longplays make perfect runs by playing with savestates to rewind mistakes so when the emulator plays the recording back it plays it as if those mistakes never happened and displays a perfect run.
They do this with every game, another channel talked in detail all about it.
