I spend hours and days with my friend trying to finish this game. It’s really hard to finish as there’s no password or saving. We were really proud when we finally cleared all the stages. My favourite SNES game ever
Metal Warrios, Cybernator/Valken and Frontmission Gun Hazard. These games has more Gundman feeling than all the crappy Gundman snes games combined. I want more games of this caliber. Awesome side scrolling Mecha Action!
Finally! I was looking for this game all over the internet. I played this when I was super young and I didn't remember the title but I did remember how cool it was. It amazed me when I can leave the robot and play as a weak human, that made it cool for me. Good thing I remembered one of the robot's name which is Havoc so I searched SNES Robot Havoc lol. And I had this for a result.
lol its a heavy fun factor... but they don't make it anymore (Obviously) therefore its a rare game now... its Priced above 200 bucks for a working copy lol... if I knew then what I knew now i'dda made sure my mother NEVER touched my damn games... she owes me money now XD
@@ColinoDeani Yeah, I once saw it at a place for over $200 CAD. I was impressed by how valuable the cartridge was, but didn't get it myself. I'd personally just get a ROM and emulate it.
You used the big robot badly. Need to hold fire button in order to big black bullet ( deal high damage) launch to the target without split into small ones.
i remember dreaming about a game like this back when i was a kid and got a NES. never had an SNES so i never knew this game existed till now. 20 years later and i'm hooked on a game after a long time of having lost interest in gaming. the last time i loved a game this much was when i played Comix Zone. never enjoyed 3D games to this level, dunno why!
Man…LucasArts were the *masters* of pixel art cutscenes. Reminds me of the first Dark Forces game in the way they illustrated the characters in between missions.
When I was younger, I spent hours in my cibercafe trying to survive the late levels of the campaign, each time making it further than the last time. Maybe it was the music, the action, the animations or the lack of saves, but I felt compelled to end the game. Fortunately, I managed to beat the final boss when I finished high school.
Good lord when he gets the Prometheus robot in level 3 I was just yelling "Hold the fire button! The big shells kill those guys in like one hit! Stop just spamming the shitty burst of bullets!!!"
Ahh so much memories. we cousins/ brothers had so much all nigthers playing this in VS. Going close range using nitro's saber, cornering enemies and getting them with prometheous' cannon and flame, havoc's speed, and that plasma ball, ejecting from the robot escaping the enemy. every robot in this game is so much fun to use except the spider.
same here man , we ve found it . Actually it took me 25 years. Back when i was 5 , i could only watch the elders play it , this is the elder scroll for me xD
Konami + Lucas Arts ❤ criaram essa obra prima! Com cutscenes junto de uma trilha sonora perfeita com fases e missões bem detalhadas. Nada igual na época. Meu jogo favorito de SNS
This and Metal Storm are two criminally overlooked classics from the NES/SNES era. While I consider Metal Storm to be slightly superior, Metal Warriors is still an SNES classic and tons of fun to play.
To play this game until the end sure takes some guts! Congrats for mastering it :) I gave up in the 7th level and it took me a lot of practise to come so far... But I will eventually come back to it, a Assault Suit-alike which is this good needs to get finished by every brave gamer!
I've never played this before but I love how every day I'm on the Internet some new obscure game series just fabricates itself into existence from more than 20 years ago. It's like getting a new game today from an indie developer.
These game sprites look like Patlabor and Zakus. You can totally see the inspiration from Gundam and Macross. This just oozes 80's Mecha. Gonna play right now!
Final boss is about as close to Zeong with serial numbers filed off as you can get. That being said, some of the mechs are nothing like mobile suits and have more resemblance to BattleTech "tanks with legs".
For anyone who plays with the Prometheus suit (big mech with top mounted howitzers) you can make the shell travel farther by holding the fire button and detonate by releasing it.
Damn, I used to play this with my next door neighbour on his SNES, haven't seen this in quite literally 20 years. I half remember a multi-player option where you could fight against each other, but I might be confused with another game... Spider ftw, yo!

When this game came to my hometown shops, most players didn't play story mode, but everyone got addicted to VS mode. So much fun.
Same thing in Peru. The VS mode was so much fun.
Same in Vietnam.
We got so much fun back in the days Peru here
I still have never played story mode 😂 They need to remake this make. Multi-player would be sick!
