Excellent coaching. Much appreciated. Note however that in step #5 and #6, the formula should be using D' and d' not D and d. If the apk file is not available, you can just automate the calculations in Excel or Google sheets.
others have said it too, but with more explanation; steps 5 and 6 should use D' and d'. L / (360° - ∠0°) = (D' * pi) / 360° L and l (lowercase L) are just a fraction of the full circumference of the circle with a diameter of D' (so to find the theoretical full circumference 2*pi*r you get D' * pi). Its essentially just creating a ratio of the sectional length at the unknown angle to the theoretical length of the full cutout diameter at 360°. This was a very good explanation otherwise, I wasn't sure how to go about this at all, but unfolding the cylinder spiral really was an "ooooh that makes perfect sense" moment and its simpler than I thought. This doesn't account for material thickness / bending though but it should at least get you in the ballpark, and the thinner the material you use the closer you should get to having the cutout work as intended for a prototype or something.
Sorry i'am about to correction formula in step 5, the formula "D*Pi". "D" here mean "D' " right? not D but D', somebody will make mistake on calculation if put value D on D'. thanks for the explaination
Excellent explanation and demonstration. Calculations easy to follow. Will appreciate link for application. Is it available for PC or just android. Thanks
Good day There is one videos i saw in your channel for Designing of a 15000 Gals elevated Steel Tank. I saw that its comment section is turned off. I really liked the video and was hoping to find more of this type and possibly other Structural design related videos. I am working on a similar project which i am designing. I was hoping to get any help i can. If there are other channels you have related to the topic or any other channel, kindly share. 😊😊😊😊
Thank you very much for the helpful information If you kindly can you give us a lesson how to make mold for pastry what is the first steps ..thank you for your time
Thanks for demo. It was useful. I am searching for video which explains how to fabricate screw Conveyor. Particularly the flight stretch or pulling to make proper pitch. Pl also share Android app link
L is the length of the exterior hipotenuse of the exterior path. l is the length of the interior hipotenuse or curve on the shaft, both have the same vertical pitch!!!!
A very concise explanation. Just what I needed for small metal fabrication workshop. Thanks
