    Session VI: Hands-On Workshop/Poster Session
Workshop Topic: LINCS Transcriptomics: Data, Tools, and Workflows
Presenters: Daniel Clarke, Minji Jeon, and Avi Ma’ayan (Mt. Sinai, DCIC)
This workshop provides an introduction to BioJupies and Appyters, two tools for LINCS transcriptomics analysis. BioJupies is a tool which generates customized, reusable, and interactive RNA-seq data analysis notebooks. Appyters are web-based applications that enable the automatic execution of workflows in the cloud and generate a report -- including the source code, analysis results, and static and interactive figures -- which can then be shared or downloaded for execution/modification. The workshop begins with a demo on how to use BioJupies, followed by a demo of an Appyter for bulk RNA-seq analysis, and finally a walkthrough of the backend and building process for Appyters.
