I humbly submit that a person is better picking a paddle and then sticking with that paddle and getting use to that paddle instead of thinking that there is a better paddle out there every time a new paddle comes out that will totally change their game. it is our form, our touch, our feel, our technique, our rhythm, our foot work and our timing that a person needs to work on.
I really appreciate your opinion and honesty regarding your paddle information. It's so easy to get caught up in the hype of paddle sales pitches. And I couldn't agree with you more about sticking with one paddle. I bought a Gruvn 16S when you had your special pricing for the 100th (what a deal!) and after using it for several outings, I really appreciate its attributes. Thank you for your great content and presentation.
Key thing I think you should consider doing about the Chasing 5.0 is to make it more of vlog style versus just the game play, separate the vlog and gameplay with commentary into different videos
Love my J2K, but the crazy spin didn’t last. Need an evolution of spin durability. And the Mod-TA still feels like it has a huge advantage. Didn’t get that from the 3s. Will see what the limits become and if more Gen 3s hit the market.
I got a chance to hit with the OWL CX and that seems like a paddle that's innovating. It gets pretty good spin and power while being made of something similar to felt. Resets felt easier than any other paddle i've ever tried. And it seems like it reduces wrist strain as well.
Love the pod today. Information concisely delivered. Not the jibber jabber back and forth "for sure" that has inundated the pod recently and has caused me to either not listen or skip most of it.
Chris, for the record, my news Pulse V has about 11 hours on it now, it has changed VERY slightly. the sound has deepened just a bit from new, and the face still feels very crisp, but slightly softer than new. No different than all the other paddles I've played with from new such as Six Zero Ruby, Thrive Azule, Chorus Shapeshifter.
How big is the difference in sweet spot for the esqc 14.3 and neonic flare prime x? I'm always on the hunt for bigger sweetspots cause I can't hit that middle for shit ever
Chris, as far as the Ripple R2 vs the GB Pro Power EL or the GB Ultimate, which has the bigger sweet spot and is "relatively " more forgiving in the soft touch game? Thanks Chris.
Thinking about your point on small refinements and incremental changes. Do you think it's worth upgrading from a Vatic Prism to an 11SIX24 Jelly Bean if I have the vatic prism currently dialed in? Sure, I would love a boost in pop and power, but not sure if this increase is significant enough to warrant an upgrade.
Maverix havik 15 Pro X Ambassador only edition be in the same line as Neonic Prime X with the Carbon/Fiberglass blend but still elongated that swings like a hybrid
I don’t understand how paddlecompanies have issues with the paddle changing? Do they not play test thier own paddles? Playing a paddle is the simplest and easiest thing a company can do to see how the paddle responds. How do these things even get in past and hit the market
Chris what are the performance differences between the Prokennex Ovation Black Ace and the Selkirk 007? I greatly appreciate your candor with regard to these new releases.
I bought the VP Flash because I wanted a bit more power than the Prism. Still getting used to it but already thinking I'll go back to the Prism. I just like the feel more and don't really care about hitting it hard any more.
With the high approval fee coming, the "small guy" paddle makers won't be able to get new paddles approved. So shouldn't that bring the cost way down, and just sell to the Rec community?
Dupr is super broken right now. Its so hard to raise your rating unless you are consistently pickling teams, which means playing down which is bad 😔 i just ran two hige leagues (104 women and 55 men) and the dupr experiment went South. I have always backed it and been an advocate for Dupr but they have some serious algorithm fixes they need to put into place. Which actually they had it right at the beginning when they started where you could increase by losing to a higher level player. The pror was the higher players should not drop dramatically for not winning handedly enough.
Kevin Dong's new video playing against Tanner and ThatPickleballGuy had a nice style of commentary/analysis for reference for the Chasing 5.0 series
I also like Tanner’s commentary on his own game
I was legit thinking the exact same😂

Love your advice on sticking to a decent paddle and improve on that. Totally agree. Thank you
12:42 a Vatic Prism that hits way harder is a HUGE sell for me
But changing your paddle is half the fun 😂
Oh it’s very fun. Just not productive to improving quickly 🤣🤣
On my 3rd Vatic prism flash 16. That paddle is THE BEST (for me.) so fun and I play against many power paddles. Prism is the king of resets.
I love my Prism Flash as well, but I want to try the Jelly Bean for the wider shape. I do worry about what trade offs I may be making.
Agreed. I find it funny that some people say the game has moved past the prism and that they are now obsolete

You think the new CRBN paddle is one of those new technology paddles that we should be excited for?

I'm looking to upgrade from a starter paddle. This video is very helpful.

Just ordered my first paddle! An 11six24 Jelly Bean for $54.99. Thanks for the code!
How big is the difference in sweet spot for the esqc 14.3 and neonic flare prime x? I'm always on the hunt for bigger sweetspots cause I can't hit that middle for shit ever
I hesitate getting the Selkirk Luxx because the painted on grid do not last!
Looking forward to the GEARBOX pro ultimate hyper 8.0 review.
Any word on New CRBN paddle release?
007 Epic shape thoughts? I would assume a better sweet spot and lower swing weight..
i miss pickleball Will
What wall mount do you use for the paddles in the background?

they do have the jelly bean in an elongated now!!

Looking forward to the match between TH-cam bloggers.

Pickleball is reaching the point that golf has gotten to. Everything that comes out at this point is almost just 1% better and mostly marketing.
So true. It's amazing how fast PB paddles got to this over hyped, marketing driven, got to produce something new every few months state.
@ yep. Unfortunately people will continue to fall for the marketing because of the 1 or 2 outliers a year that come out like the ripple or gearbox.
You're a good kid.
Is that 11Six24 sale only for the Monarch line?
No almost all of their paddles will be on sale.
I bought the VP Flash because I wanted a bit more power than the Prism.
Still getting used to it but already thinking I'll go back to the Prism.
I just like the feel more and don't really care about hitting it hard any more.
What’s power level on Vatic saga? Like TKO level?

Will your content creator game be uploaded soon?
Yeah where was this video 9 paddles ago? 😂
I must say it’s very addicting to try em all… like you’re in an RPG trying different weapons
What would be your go-to paddle right now?

the california viewers are gonna hate this pod (I’m california viewers)
🤣🤣🤣
I believe he said it is 10 dollars off the jelly Bean
Do a review video of Franklin Tour series please👆
Mid
Isn’t the Hurache X Jelly Bean an elongated Jelly Bean?
That’s what I figured. @pickleballstudio?
@@Zeitstaubsammlr
11six24 site, too
yes it is and its really good I have the 16 and 14. JBX14 is close to TKO power
It must have been added very recently. Never heard anything about that release. Thats a good addition to the lineup.
I can hear the fear in your voice
30 min pod should be illegal
I agree. Might be the shortest pod to date!
