Though, I want to point out that I got the setup, the seed and the advances right for a Shiny Bulbasaur, but I had to stop 7 advances before the Shiny one (instead of the usual 1) since both Oak and his assistant would move/turn before I got to receive the monster. It was weird, but I managed.

i dont know if thats possible. You only know what your secret id is at the very start of the game when you rng manipulate for a desired trainer id and secret id. I don't think there's any way to find your secret id on a pre existing save.
@@urboi4125 I thought so too, and I was prepared to wipe my save file if necessary, but I was able to calculate mine from a random shiny's IVs that I had caught in Soulsilver and knew its specific EVs. Anyone can find theirs out if they have caught at least 1 shiny in their game (including the red Gyarados) and can calculate that specific shiny's IVs.

Not following you when you're mentioning hitting odd delays. Around 13:17 you mentioned needing to hit odd delays, but isn't yours on screen currently even (4410)? And if I do hit an odd delay, do I input that into Eon Timer or start over until I hit even delays? This is the most confusing part. EDIT: Think I got it know. When doing this, you'll always hit either even or odd delays no matter what. The only way to find out which ones you hit is by doing the method and comparing it to your target delay. If your hits and target arent both even or odd, then doing one of the methods you mentioned (like inserting a Pokemon GBA game into the game slot) will get you to match numbers.
This is the one I would use for the Kanto starters, correct? After defeating Red, the Kanto starters from Oak, are they Gift pokemon or static pokemon? I saw a reddit thread suggesting they would be method 1 gift pokemon so I assume this one? EDIT: Can confirm, does work with the Kanto Starters! Did your Chatot pitches match what Pokéfinder was saying they would be?

So it’s not shiny every time and you had to soft reset for it to be shiny? Wat
@@Ripdooder221 yes. if you are innacurate with your timing, you don't get the shiny. but it's still leagues faster than traditional shiny hunting.

You can, it's similar but you can only manipulate the ivs. You have to keep doing it until you get the desired nature.
