  • Chatham is one of the Medway towns located within the Medway unitary authority, in North Kent, in South East England. The town developed around Chatham Dockyard and several Army barracks, together with 19th-century forts which provided a defensive shield for the dockyard.

Wow. I moved away from Chatham in 1988. The roads in the town centre have certainly changed.

I lived in Chatham 1980/81 and remember walking down Maidstone Road to school. So glad you drove down it. Felt a little misty eyed to see it after all these years! There used to be a barber shop under the New St bridge by the statue back then.

Started off as my route home, but then you missed turning right in to Prince's Avenue - good to see the Poachers again .... also see vans still pull out at random from Tunbury

Can’t help but wonder how my old girlfriends are these days, and how life turned-out for them?!! I was in the RN in the 1970s and was twice based at Chatham (two frigates), like most matelots I met a few girls there. All the Wrens from Pembroke Barracks always seemed to be absolutely gorgeous!! I hope they’re all happy and successful women, most of them will be grandmothers now!!😀👍🏻👵🏻⚓️
