    also when learning i would want to look at my foot hit the rail which would cause a slide out. it was much better for me to stay focused on the end of the rail with my eyes to keep my weight going forward. so i'd just need to let my foot feel the rail.

      Tailslide into 270 out (on a box)? I just can't get it right, usually sliding off to my left (regular stance).

      @@Belzehi suck at that one as well, boxes are hard hahaha
      This is because they don’t have anything to help you stop your sideways momentum on.
      That’s why it’s really hard to generate rotation. Since you need to take off very straight and proper well generating your power.
      Nev loves this trick, and we will make a video on it at some point this winter!

    • @SnowboardAddiction
      @SnowboardAddiction  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Sounds like your jumping backwards putting your weight over your heels. You also might be too tall.

    • @JM17sounds
      @JM17sounds หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Make sure you’re counter rotating. When your board is sideways on the box, your knees should be bent with your lead shoulder pointing towards the end of the feature. While learning it helps to exaggerate this position by pretending you’re reaching for the floor with your front hand. This fixed it for me! Hopefully helps.

      Taevis is the first person I've ever seen plainly state NOT TO POP and it's so helpful. By far the most articulate tutorials I've ever watched, and it feels like I'm actually being told knowledge from the person themselves instead of just getting some tips repeated without any thought.

    So if I understood correctly, we use the same poping technique for boardslide in your video for kicker called "Greatly Improve Your POP | Learn To Jump with Taevis - EP 2" ? The mix between ollie and 2 footed jump = micro ollie = pop ? And we have to use this everywhere (kicker, rails, side hits) ?

    any advice on what to do when I keep catching my front edge? Rails not so much but tubes I catch and eat it haha. Just detuned inside the boots slightly tho will test this next weekend.

      Probably jamming your toe edge in. Could be popping too much or leaving g too much.

      I never de tune my snowboards. You can if you want to get wild with switch ups but I haven’t caught an edge because of a sharp edge in years.
      So I know a lot of people do it, but I don’t think you need to.
      Maybe if you just ride rails it wouldn’t hurt:)

    Do you file your edges down for rails?

    Is there a difference in takeoff between a backboard and tailslide 270 off?

    • @weiwang1073
      @weiwang1073 หลายเดือนก่อน

      also is the takeoff of a backside 50-50 same as backboard?

    • @SnowboardAddiction
      @SnowboardAddiction  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Backside 5050 is basically the same. Backboard tail slides want the same principles, but it’s harder since you need to get all the way to your tail.

  • @DAOnero
    @DAOnero หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Isnt backside when your sliding backwards??

    • @SnowboardAddiction
      @SnowboardAddiction  หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      For rails the trick names refer to the way you hit them not the way you slide.
      So backside 5050 = backside boardslide

    • @masondixon1718
      @masondixon1718 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If you take off and the rail is behind you it's backside. If the rail is in front of you when you take off it is frontside.
