No optics or magnification, no stabilizers, no clickers...and the 12 ring is equivalent to hitting an arrow with an arrow. I don't think they can even see it from that distance. They are just shooting to where they know it is. Amazing, by far the most impressive archery currently in competition.
As a Gap Shooter Demmers Opponent surely isn't burning a hole in the X. He' s pointing his tip at the outer rings at six a clock. I would do that as a Gapper🤔 You got to have a repeatable Gap to hit your points.
It's 18m. They can shoot a single 40cm target or the three spot targets that have the same size rings but with the outer ones missing. Most of them choose three spots so as to avoid deflections.
For this contest, yes. There is different types of archery shoots that are entirely different. Not sure how familiar you are with archery, but there is a ton of varying events that are entirely different from each other
I'm new to archery and I'm having difficulty understanding a few aspects of this. Why are some archers shooting at 3 small targets while others at one large target? Why are some archers shooting against multiple archers, but others shoot against fewer? If it's last man standing, then that seems unfair.
The rings in both targets are all the same size so no advantage to shooting the “big” target. If you shoot all three arrows into that target you can have following arrows deflect out of higher scoring rings by hitting arrows already in the target so some archers want to shoot one arrow per target to avoid that. We run a “shoot up” format. The top seed has the easiest path to win by only shooting against one archer. The lowest seed has to beat every one in front of him. Seeding is based on qualifying. The best shooter gets the top seed. But the upside is the lowest seed still can win it all. In other formats the lowest seed is never given the chance to move up.
Imagine if media at golf events tried to do a Q & A with every pro between every hole. Blows me away that the format seems to actually be designed to distract competitors from the task at hand. Obviously, the cream of the crop rise to the task, but it makes me wonder whether there would be a noticeable difference in performance if they didn’t have a dude shoving a mic in their face in the middle of a game.
Great competition but how is it fair that John Demmer 111 shoots so many matches in a straight run, but gets beaten by a competitor that is 100% fresh - not having shot a single arrow ?
I can tell yah that Huang was at the practice range all day for all days of competition (outside of his shooting times), much like every other archer at the Classic. I don't know that any archer was really "100% fresh." Heck, maybe being under that comp pressure for longer was an advantage, too?
Anyone else not like the three face targets? For some reason its not as exciting to watch, high scores don't have the same satisfying feeling... just me?
I still can't see where they call this bearbow, while using plungers, weights on the riser, small spreader stabilizers etc., etc., etc., bare bow to me is just that, riser natural arrow rest or plastis rest, nothing else. Bare is completley bare, correct me if I'm wrong. They should hjave a real barebow contest, with hunting bow ONLY !!!!
Absolute crazy ending
This was, without question, the most exciting bare bow shoot yet.
I love the 12 ring. Best addition to the competition ever.
Great to see Lancaster beginning to attract more and more of the top archers outwith the USA
Great shooting under enormous pressure!!!
Way to go Reggie !
That was a heck of a barebow classic!
I was just floating next to a chair by the end - that's how much I was on the edge of my seat!
Great bunch of archers here! Congrats to Raymond!
how is this sport not in olympic, i am speechless
Interesting to see the more traditional barebow style of Dimmer compared to the Olympic recurve technique of Barbieri.
INSANE ending !!!! Awesome show !!!!!
super cool! congrats to Raymond🎉
best archery classification ever!!!
That was epic. Should have tuned in live
What an incredible class. Barebow all the way.
What a points at the archers score, great
A great final match!! BAREBOW BABY
Brilliant ending
I know its not as "big" as vegas. But IMO the classic is far more fun every year!
Fantastic final
I am interested in Dehmer releasing technique, how it is like flicking your arrow with your fingers and not doing follow through, anyone can explain?
1 more month til this returns ahhhhhhhh i can’t wait i can’t waittttt
That little flinch at the end...
This is awesome, barebow ftw.
Sweet show
Love it all

what draw weight do these guys use? for that distance would a 30# bow be competitive? thats all i can pull at this time.
I’m not a pro by any means by my coach says for 18 meters you don’t need a real heavy draw weight so yeah 30# is plenty!!

Hello, i am new to archery. What is the distance to the target? And what is the size of the target?

@@TrevC-co6xk thank you for the answer
What mm diameter do these lads use on their arrows? They seem very wide....
whats the distance for competition? is it always 20 yards?
For this contest, yes. There is different types of archery shoots that are entirely different. Not sure how familiar you are with archery, but there is a ton of varying events that are entirely different from each other
congratulaions
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Why is there 2 different targets, am I missing something?
JD3 ОЧЕНЬ КРУТОЙ ЧУВАК
what is the distance of these shots?
20 yards (18 meters)
@@LancasterArcherySupply Thanks!
Where are all the CD risers?
oh yeah.. barebow
As a fellow Raymond, this just feels like a typical Starbucks run, Raven, Reggie, Rayden, Ramon, Raymon, Derek, Joseph, Vayden, whatever. Lol

@LancasterArcherySupply I see, now it makes sense, thanks for that.

Where did Matt hudson come in
I love this and have been watching for years...... but the frequency of ads is disappointing ...
Yey
When I start competing, I plan to wear an expensive adult diaper - Like NASA diaper action.
Trying to explain to a non-archer how difficult letting-down is leads to much incredulity 😂
All that sponsorship and only $400 for coming 8th!! Come on!

Because it is based on the qualification, score higher in quali to get a better seed. Higher seed starts later on stage.
They have to do better with the winning dollars to get more shooters. Step up Archery companies and sponsors. .
hmmm target's changed from last year ...
Anyone else not like the three face targets? For some reason its not as exciting to watch, high scores don't have the same satisfying feeling... just me?
Tim Johnson’s 33 was so epic on the single target, would not be nearly as good on the 3 spot
why don't you guys hand out a trophy ?
We do

Theres always this one guy in the comments -hurr durr its not a bow made out of a stick, they don‘t know how to shoot bla bla bla
Yo! BARE BOW seems like an inaccurate description of a the bows these guys are shooting.
There is a lot less hardware compared to olympic recurve.
Ever tried it?
@@arzucksan2972 I am currently training barebow. Recurve I have not tried, but a lot of my friends from the club shoot recurve.
