That is one brilliant piece of engineering. Don't usually like music in motor videos but in this it works and you stopped the music at exactly the right time!
with all the designs around.. one just gotta appreciate the old craft! Every single detail and handywork put into it. The engine alone is prettier than all new engines put together. It reeks creativity and design! Love it!
I used to have and old "Favorite" Bicycle that was made in Czechoslovakia. I was one of the best bikes I ever owned, and I actually sold it to a collector! With minds such as yours, no doubt your beautiful country will be making fine machines for decades to come!
Our forefathers were bad ass.like Glenn curtiss back in 1906 made a V8 motorcycle that went 136 mph here in Daytona beach (on the beach)..burt Munro 202 or so on a 1920 Indian.just amazing..
Krásná práce.Když jsem tento stroj viděl na vlastní oči na hradu Kámen,zůstal jsem asi půl hodiny v němém úžasu stát a něvěřil jsem vlastním očím!!Pane kolego smekám před Vámi!!!
I wish I spoke the language so I could give him the credit he deserves. Being a machinist I have a pretty good idea how hard it is to make something like this.
You did a fantastic job all round to replicate this bike, obviously you have quite a few skills to build something like this from scratch. great project.
Try Setting the Ignition at about 12-14 % advanced and Then oppening the throughtle while Slowly easing in the belt tenssion. It varies from machine to machine, But esentialy the opperator must miror the function of the Distributers vacume advance mechinism Changing the timing from 7-8 deg. before top dead center to 12-14 deg. or even 16-22 deg. before top dead center, as with an engine under load "Climbing a hill or pulling away" Since the settings Don't much change, But mechanism achiving it.
Wow! I can only dream of having that man's skill set. This is my first time seeing or even hearing about this motorcycle. Looks absolutely beautiful and sounds great! Would like to know more about the history behind this awesome machine.
Brilliant engineering skills for a superb result! That would have been quite fast enough for the roads of the day. Keeping your trouser legs away from the whirling belt and chains would require its own skill! Bravo!
Amazing how a man with this incredible skill is relatively unknown, yet some whining no talent here today gone tomorrow teenage singer wins "The X Factor" or some other throw away garbage TV show and becomes a millionaire! there's no justice in this world. In a proper meritocracy sir, you would undoubtedly be a king!
Guys like this do very well and make a great living quietly doing what they do. They don't need to be millionaires, however. The meritocracy does exist and let the kardashians and other idiots jump into the spotlight and waste their lives on empty nonsense. They deserve it.
Only if there is a market and enough money in that market for the "money guys to make several million first- that's capitalism! A meritocracy depends on the Boss to decide he wants to pay you more when he knows you'll show up tomorrow anyway! The American business men earned the unions that sprang up about the time this M/C was designed and built- the history is full of blood and fire- brought by the "boss". It is a beautiful piece of machine work- on that I'll agree.
Interesting. The engine uses a redial arrangement but with an even number of cylinders. Normally an odd number is used with the firing order being every other cylinder. But you can't do that with an even number of cylinders which is why it's using 2 ignitions systems. (There are 2 magnetos driven by chains on the right side) It's almost like to engines on a common crankshaft.
@@denisewildfortune4058 I guess it operates as two v twins connected.Four rods on one pin.For the ignition this is a part that I never managed to understand :) Altough I restored a few engines and built a dozen modern ones when it comes to ignition and electrics my level of refinement never passed beyond the principals of mighty hot bulb engine.
Beautiful workmanship and the completed engine sounds so smooth. Thank you for sharing this project with us. Most men only make love to women but you sir have done so with this project.
Great machining skills, a beautiful piece of work. Probably also quite expensive to make? But like all old motorcycles of that era very dangerous for your legs
Wow, holy carp. I desperately need an engine for my bike, I sure do wish I could just go out to the garage and build one. You obviously know a lot about engines, I wonder if you would have advice about which single cylinder motor I might find commonly available to convert for a boardtrack racer reproduction. I'm not going for authentic but don't want an obvious briggs and stratton or weedwacker or 2stroke china bicycle engine. Something that could be easily made to look antique with no shroud.
Well Sir? I did have the pleshure of working on quite some number of early Cycles As a youth, I had a wealthy mentor, and his son. we worked on one Arial, Two Exelsiors, A set of "Thores" and several Hendee powered indians As well as a Custom bike, Built on a 1912-1922 Budapest. So you convince one of these fellows to, Alow me too? And I gladly will.
Technically no, the two inner cylinders would have to be inclined towards each other the outers away thereby making a 'W' shape, hence the name W4, this is more like 1/3 of a radial engine or two V twins joined in an arc fashion. (which essentially is what it is if you read the description, a double V twin)
That is one brilliant piece of engineering. Don't usually like music in motor videos but in this it works and you stopped the music at exactly the right time!
Thank you!
Jmenovče velmi si cením lidí jako Vy máte můj respekt.
A já Vám děkuji za podporu.
with all the designs around.. one just gotta appreciate the old craft! Every single detail and handywork put into it. The engine alone is prettier than all new engines put together. It reeks creativity and design! Love it!
Tak to je nádhera.Po všech směrech,krásná řemeslná práce.Jen aby to ještě někdo uměl za padesát let takhle vyrobit.
jiritepmot Za padesát let si to vytisknete ve 3D tiskárně. :-)
radekkohoutek Ještěže se toho nedožiju.... :-)
Truly the epodemy of mechanical design and art combined!
I used to have and old "Favorite" Bicycle that was made in Czechoslovakia. I was one of the best bikes I ever owned, and I actually sold it to a collector!

Back then the racing associations had no thought to encourage safety- but yeah, buddy, those guys were made of tough stuff!
A work of art.
outstanding ,,, work of art
Thank you!
Very beautifull antique motorbike with a beautifull engine ,it is a piece of art
Thank you!
The most beautyful bike I have ever seen! God bless you, Pavel Malanik!
Superlative piece of craftsmanship and engineering. Congratulations, and well done! And thanks for posting, Pavel!
Thank you, I am happy you like it!

What a beautiful piece of artwork/machinery! Truly magnificent.
I wish I spoke the language so I could give him the credit he deserves. Being a machinist I have a pretty good idea how hard it is to make something like this.
absolutely amazing, my hats off to you Sir. You are a mechanical genius!
stratocaster1greg Many thanks...
Wonderful craftsmanship and a uniquely worthwhile project. Hat's off to you sir.
Outstanding job, I am thinking that at conception the craftsmanship at that era was off the charts
You did a fantastic job all round to replicate this bike, obviously you have quite a few skills to build something like this from scratch. great project.
Absolutely magnificent! What a piece of art. Hats off to you and two big thumbs up!
That is the best sounding motorcycle engine I have ever heard. Lovely machine.
Thank you for showing this.Your work is commendable and you are a very fine engineer.
A proper jaw dropper.
Stunning craftsmanship sir!
Jste neuvěřitelně šikovní !!!! Nádherná práce!!!

artist hands are they... you guys have no limits to fabrications. congrats and hi from argentina.
Thank you Eduardo!
do you still ride this machine ??
Che meraviglia! Un vero gioiello della meccanica! Complimenti!
Panove gratuluji ,klobouk dolu !
Ingenious Czech engineering and craftsmanship
Hallo PavelMalanik,
Hats off and respect!
You are a master in engineering!
Absolutely gorgeous your work!
Brilliant engineering skills for a superb result! That would have been quite fast enough for the roads of the day. Keeping your trouser legs away from the whirling belt and chains would require its own skill! Bravo!
Thanks for the recognition.
What amazing skill in machining! I wish I had just a fraction of his knowledge and skills!
+jiggermast I agree 1000%. couldn't have said it better.
similar to the highest played teacher at most college are football and basketball coach 'crazy'
Long Live The King!!!

Veliká krása.Už jsem Vaše stroje viděl na živo a jsou neskutečné...smekám
Díky!
Absolutely magnificent!!!
Уникальный аппарат!) какой красивый! Автору и конструктору очень большое уважение!!
Superb!! you sir a true engineer.........
All of that work was really beautiful. You are an artist.
Masterpiece of Art ❤️
What an absolutely beautiful machine !! It sounds & looks amazing !! You have done such quality work on it !! Thx for sharing .
Totally fantastic. Love and appreciate the work involved to make this a running machine. Thank you.
Thank you!
One of the best engine, the great work.
thank you
All the great artists in the world, past, present and future, shrugged in jealousy after seeing this.
Thank you also for the Scott Joplin. I feel it captures the zeitgeist perfectly.
Fantastic. Gives me hope for the human race.
The correct technical term for the engine is a Sunrise 4, not a V4. A V4 would have 2 pairs of parallel twin cylinders in a V arrangement.
Maybe it's a wubbleyou.
I would call it a W-4. Sunrise 4 is an interesting term; I've never heard it before , and will google it.

wonderfully made
Historical data says 12HP.I think that the current replica has more power.
Beautifully Crafted!
This is the coolest bikt I have ever seen!
Beautiful workmanship and the completed engine sounds so smooth. Thank you for sharing this project with us. Most men only make love to women but you sir have done so with this project.
that is nuts, gotta love cycles
Beautiful beautiful machine, im in awe!
I'm so impressed, I have great respect for your skills!
BEAUTIFUL CRAFTSMANSHIP!! WOW!
Real history!!
that is engineering art the engine is a master piece
Superb.
if i ever spent that much time and effort building a motorcycle id make sure it went faster than 6 mph. maybe its just me. amazing talent.
The feeling of achievement must be fantastic. I feel good after rebuilding a single 2T engine and it fires up and ticks over so this must be awesome.
Really of very nice job, thank you for making us it share.
To think that every component on this motorcycle, with the exception of the rubber, was manufactured in their shop...
Perfect motorcycle 👍👍👍👍👍👍💙💙
What a great machine!! The riding position looks very good for speed runs.
Could do with some covers for all the chains though!!
Yes - that's what I thought - get some chain & belt covers or
someone will lose a finger or their whole hand.
Does it change gear?
Amazing work.
I love this cycles !!!
To je něco úžasného, klobouk dolů, všechna čest
Díky !
Wielki szacunek dla twórcy. Jestem pełen podziwu. Pozdrawiam.
Serious level of abilty sir
Wow, thats so unbelivebel! Respect! I realy would like to meet you one day, unfortunately I dont speak czech. I'm from Berlin.... maybe one day.....
you sir are a god of bikerdom!
Beyond Awesome!
A master craftsmen of the 32nd degree
you are an amazing machinist!
This man and machine deserves to meet with Allen Millyard with ☝️ one of his creations.
Golden Czech hands! heloo from Slovakia
Greetings from Czech, ale můžu i česky...
You Sir are the master!
Nice work. I come back here about once a year to have another look.
That thing has to be able to rev up a lil higher and go faster than what they showed...
BEAUTIFUL. WHAT MORE CAN BE SAID!
Still your friend I hope. Sorry I lost my old facebook main page, but won't forget the past. Keep 'em coming! (Si Dogdragon)
All the best for you Simon!
you sir are a god...
thank you for your appreciation !
Truly amazing.
dude that bike is sick! awesome job!
Great machining skills, a beautiful piece of work.
Probably also quite expensive to make?
But like all old motorcycles of that era very dangerous for your legs
Oooh, that sound!:) amazing work, wish I had the builders skills.
Schön das es noch Menschen gibt die sich diesen Dingen hingeben und erhalten

WOW! Very nice work!
wonderful job
Amazing piece of work. Beautiful motorcycle.
Just saw the bikes article in AMCN and had to hear it!
Yes,1640 ccm, 10-12 HP,start a direct shot from 0 to 100 km.
Much Respect for You!
Back in 1908-1909, it was a real Hi-Tech' and nobody can stop imagination.
Nevertheles, what a wondrous machine !!!
DANY (France)
That is a work of art...Bravo!
Well Sir?

Work of art ...very very impressive machining ..looks like a a few hundred hours or more there
exquisite and beautiful machine
