    One thing that works in favor of Power BI learning is users who use advanced excel find it easy to adopt to Power BI.

    OCD kicking in when the points for Power BI started to appear. If you know you know!! Otherwise everything well explained..!! Kudos!!

    This is great. In my company they are using qlik sense but only for the department of stadistic. And only stadistic release the data to the other sectors from there. I am in marketing so I proposed to use power bi for my sector and they are asking me why I dont use qlik sense. Now I can explain much better the why. Also It is much easier to teach.

    Working with both tools I still prefer Qlik. It is easier to modify the data if the structure is not how you want it which is often the case in real life and business situations. If you have proper data solutions, marts in a dwh for example, Power bi can be used for the final visualization but still Wlik seems to be way more powerful

      On top of that you have full capacity of building up a whole etl process through different layers and task chaining. In that regard gar ahead of Microsoft

    1. To pull the data from external data connections, Is it possible to connect those DB connections in Power BI like Qlik Sense?
    2. Is Data Warehousing works in Power BI?

    Left out the huge difference in Qliks direct ETL capability that isn't really useable in PowerBI.

      Using power query you can do the ETL similar to Qlik and it is integrated in the power bi.

    Great video! I have some more queries, does power bi have a QMC kinda feature? and Does Power BI have like qlikNprinting tool? I know Qlik is used for loading millions of data but how big data can be loaded in power bi?
    Thanks!

    • @glennfuller9881
      @glennfuller9881 ปีที่แล้ว

      Qlik has vast data loading capabilities. I have built Qlik dashboards with 300 million records, and a quick response. Relatively speaking, Power BI has a hard time loading anywhere near that amount of data. And when you start to stress the Power BI data load limit, the performance falls off a cliff. Power BI does have an option where you do not load the data, but instead externally reference the data. This gets past the Power BI data load limit, but the performance is even worse. If you think you will be using large data sets (many millions of records), I would recommend that you avoid Power BI

      You can connect to a powerbi dataset (stored in the cloud /pbi service) then connect to another dataset. You are asked to switch to direct query mode. Ok. Then add another dataset and another and another... Then you create the relations among them and upload this dataset (dataset built from datasets) to the cloud (pbi service). Then you can connect to this huge dataset in live mode just as if it was a single, tiny, dataset.

      QlikSense is one of the leaders in the BI tools so the adoption is great. However the other leaders like Tableau and Power BI is a tough challenger for QlikSense.

    Hi Abishek . considering the cost of maintaining ( Subscription cost ) how costly is Qlik compared to Powerbi.
    As PowerBi i can manage basic things with 0 Cost to 10$ per month.
    Is Qlik going to cost more?

    Overall good video, but it could have been better. I think you should have done a little more research. The only information useful to me was from 12th minute to 14th minute. You did not talk about ETL Capability and QVD support in Qlik. You can use Extension objects and Mashups in Qlik. The cost of PowerBI License is super cheap. You did not talk any about what DAX, M or anything else does.

    • @srkrishna1824

      No coding

    • @glennfuller9881
      @glennfuller9881 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Qlik has no-coding tools that let you load data and create a dashboard. To build the most sophisticated solutions, you will want to use coding to load the data in a more controlled manner. Some of the more complex display techniques will require coding-like knowledge to control how data is displayed. For instance, if you want a chart to always show, say, last years financials vs this year's financials, even when filters are selected that would otherwise change the results, then you will need to use some advanced, coding-like techniques to control the display of data.
