Yeah, “Life” is automatically set on nightmare mode. Just gotta grind until you level a bit. Hey, has anyone found out how to get past the Karen boss fight in “Life”? It’s impossible! Just as you think you’ve won, Karen gets fed up and becomes Godzilla Karen. And by the time that happens I’ve been scolded for stupid stuff so much that my mental health is 0.

@@doubleclick4132 That depends on what you consider Souls-likes. They are what would be politely called challenging, but also very mainstream--seeing as how they have defined a genre. If you have to die over 200 times to beat a game, I'd say it's nearly impossible to finish. I know I've never done it.
Which ones, cause from what I've been playing most games nowadays damn near hold your hand, ie a regular man being able to see enemies thru walls, like the last of us, idk why ppl struggled, being able to see enemies thru walls right off the bat mad sneaking by trivial for the most part. Give me a game like the old zeldas, no waypoints.

My brother beat that Superman game but his was one the PlayStation. Same game though. He would play it for hours because the controls were so wonky. Other time he would just fly around seeing how fast he could get Superman going based on how many pressure waves would eventually come off Superman.
The point is, he did have fun playing it and that’s all that really matters, ya know?
I once saw a speedrun of Get Over It which was simply amazing. After the guy beat it in a few minutes, he collapsed onto his beanbag chair.
It's insane how fast some people can beat that game. They absolutely break the physics and no glitches are used for most of them

Eryi's Action is similar. It takes the idea of Cat Mario, but gives it polish and humor. I beat it. It was pretty fun.

Overlord for the NES was just about impossible to get through. Getting to the fighting or defending yourself part was a task in itself.
Man do I ever hope Masai stays. It's so nice when you can actually trust your team in the draft and they do a great job every year finding talent, and actually have a clear plan while competing at a high level every year. I've been a raptor fan for coming up on 30 years and I've never seen us do such a great job at developing and drafting talented young guys while being able to remain as one of the top teams in the conference and blend it with experienced talented vets. It has been a joy to watch

The ultimate experience is OCTODAD COUCH CO-OP. I’ve done it multiple times and endured with my friends. It’s really not THAT hard to learn and it’s super fun

The final fight in Bioshock Infinite was so frustrating that I gave up and watched the trippy ending on TH-cam instead.

I got really far in Superman 64 back in the day when I rented it. Back then the game you rented was the game you had to play that weekend. I didn't give up until I was in the lexcorp building and you had to pick up boxes and put them in the colored beams of light... I got half done then I went to pick one up and it pushed me through the floor where I could fly in blackness forever... That meant I had to restart the game though... In the end I was nope after that. I also loved Octodad and finished it years ago. Really great game. I got to the first castle in Jelly Mario but getting past that first area with the rotating fire is impossible.

“Heavenly Sword” was one of such games. I sold that back to Gamestop within the month of buying it, because ain’t no way I was going to play through that game again! Pain in the butt!

The music in Cat mario is the cheetahman theme, which is also an impossible game to finish since it can bug at random and get you stuck in levels

The only reason I know about that Life Line game is because it randomly popped up on my recommended Lets Play reactors list and Falcon is right. It was absolutely hilarious watching them get frustrated by that girl not listening.

Fun fact: if you get to 100 metres in qwop there is a long jump sand pit. The farthest run and jump I’ve seen is 101.4 meters (1.4 m jump). Tough game.
I used to be able to beat QWOP almost every time. The trick was to not actually try to run. If you get the guy in a split pose, you can barely alternate legs and he will slowly move forward without tipping over. I think the game ends at 1,000 meters and it takes a while with this method lol.

Yet it is very possible to beat, with enough patience and coordination you can actually beat it. It's kinda like a souls game, not artificially difficult but organically so.

for that qwop one, I bet if you could figure out the rough pattern for the movements, you could write a Python script to automate the key presses and make it more consistent.

Ever seen a Lifeline speedrun?... yeah XD that is wonderful to watch, but really painful for the speedrunner.
I remember playing Lifeline, where I got hung up was when the two of you are trying to enter the honeymoon suite by saying the password together. I couldn't keep in sink with her at all.
You can add Journey to that list.
That one's frustrating because the ending was wack.
But I loved playing it.
Octodad looks like it controls like I Am Bread. That GameCube game called Odama , which used voice controls, was frustrating.
Another addition, manual Samuel. Everything you do you have to do manually. Breathing, keeping your spine straight, walking, etc
My friends created new skins and hosted private competitions. There were 5 of us who mastered the physics of that game. Very fun
Near impossible fight: in one of the Batman Arkham games, fighting the Riddler's robots as Catwoman-- the last round where there are two lasers to avoid, plus an ever shrinking set of unelectrified floor tiles.
Either of the colony wars games for PlayStation 1 and a PlayStation 2 game that involve racing Tron motorcycles to the point that they almost achieved light speed or maybe I just had a seizure.

When I was 12, I wanted to be a game programmer. So I designed a spaceship game with 3 levels - at each level you had to do a task. At the last level, an enemy is approaching, and you have to defeat it with lasers, giving the correct position of the enemy spaceship on the screen to win. The enemy spaceship is 1 pixel in size, the position is picked at random by the game each time. I've never finished it since (30 years ago). (I once counted the pixels, but in CRTs there are offsets... ...and the display is not made of actual pixels (check channel Technology Connections about it).)
Oh come on Falcon!! Octodad was awesome. Ok maybe a little silly with the controls but hey it was awesome and in hindsight well worth the frustration amiright???
