Im definitely getting this bundle when it comes out on Console. I have an idea for a mad build involving DHC's, the defiant quad cannons, and the Hexa Cannons from the Achilles
Typhon makes me like it more and more with everything I see or here about it. I never played the game it came from so I had no real context for it but... it actually fits my main character's whole deal pretty well; partly just for character lore reasons. The fact that it doesn't look like a Starfleet ship actually works in her favor, since I consider her part of an alien species allied closely with Starfleet - this ship feels like it could almost be a combo of her species tech base + Starfleet's. I freely admit this is a very silly thing but hey, space barbie for life! I also kinda wonder if that trait is them testing if their infrastructure can handle the extra pets? Maybe this is like "Okay so, we're going to basically do a limited live trial of a third hangar bay, but we obviously don't want *everyone* running 3 hangar bays at once so let's start it out with a trait, and if that holds up OK, maybe we can talk about a carrier rework with 3rd hangars where appropriate." I could be wrong, but I seem to remember them doing something like that before. Testing something via a trait and then later implementing it a bit more broadly. (I don't remember what offhand though and I could be confusing it with another game.)
I am working on a hybrid pet build for my flight deck carrier constitution (right now using the Legendary, but planning on getting the miracle worker with the campaign)
I've been hoping for the Typhon in sto for well over a decade. and the NAILED it. Im thinking about breaking out the Baul sentry set and doing an ANCHOR of death build. Also. The Achilles is still on of the sexiest startrek designs ever. Ill fight a bear over this.
Premonition got close to being better than the Verne, but got let down by the bridge layout. If the Tactical was /TO, and the Ensign and Lt seats were switched, it would have been perfect.
Really? I hadn't heard that. It's probably because of the holo-costume it puts on your ship, only Typhon's model has the animation for Fortress Mode. The same probably will likely occur in Wolf 359 too.
Here's a crazy idea: Add an extra hangar bay to carriers when you apply a T6-X2 upgrade token to them. That way any existing carrier won't be left behind and you can choose what pets go in the hangar bay.
Good thing I haven't bought the Valdres now that theres a better source of Valkyrie Fighters addendum: Typhon makes a great elite Ninth Rule stationary farm (I had Very Cold in Space to keep them there) oh and my Flight Decks and My Terran Lexington now had fun with the trait
The Premonition Class needs two build options, one DEW Sci build and then one Maxed out single target build, I can't not have that thing as kick azz as possible, its too pretty!
Come now. Cryptic rendered all full carriers obsolete, the moment all Flight Deck Carriers were given a second hanger. The second hanger was the only thing that was better on a full carrior over an FDC. FDCs had all the other benefits of more guns, more speed, more maneuverbility and often a better console layout too.
I was with you on the Typhon being kinda ugly and originally had no real desire for it but damn after flying it it might be one of my favorite ships in the game. Small, agile, and so damn powerful with the stats and trait they gave it. Named mine the USS Adama. 😉
so i did a little bundle Maths 1 ship = 3k Zen 3 Ex Upgrades = 2k Zen bundle give 4 Ships + 9 Upgrades =18k Zen bundle price = 12.5 Zen you save = 5.5k Zen nealy 2 ships FREE ( in sterlin thats est £40) on sale its 9,375 Zen for a total savings of 8,625 Zen
So what I'm hearing is that you will be coming out with an updated lazy boat build that's a mix of the snw Connie lazy boat, and the awahnee pet build soon, for the Typhon?
For some strange reason despite whats written in the description of the Typhoon. Its hangers come with Alliance fighter squadrons and not valkyrie fighter squadrons? I found that confusing if you only bought the ship solo.
I agree with your esthetic complaints about the Typhon. But I kind of love it for looking like nothing else. If they release an original BSG skin Id use it in a heartbeat. You put the what to do the what with your turrets??????? Jellyfish? I adore Star Trek Armada - its cool to see the the Premo show up...its probably got the seating to get me away from my 25th century sci ship :D So does it do it on activation or pulse? Cause you could do some insane things if it triggers with every activation of the GW
Typhon: For a brick, it flew pretty good. Achilles: Time to show 'em our new teeth. FIRE THE MAIN GUN! Premonition: Oh I can't kill you, but my buddies can. Say hi buddies! *HI!*
Yeah it pretty much was. They did say that they had to reimagine it for STO because of how low-poly the model and how low-res the textures were, which is why it does look a bit different than you might remember.
The Premonition's model in Armada is similar to the Sovereign's, but there noticeable differences beyond just the pod, which STO has replicated pretty well while still adding their own details.
oh i just see u have the Shuttle Summon from the last event slotted, u dont need to do that, it is available for use if u keep it in ur inventory aswell ^^
Was that in an inventory slot? I shouldn't have been, I know you can use them from your inventory. Probably mixed it up with the Flagship transponder, they look alike.
@@Stu1701 i see. i assumed u prob know it, but thought i mention it just in case, for ppl that just "copy paste" builds and see it in the device slot * ^^ *
As a noob who bought this pack, can you do a budget build of this? (or maybe here is x-upgrades you can try to get later). I tried looking up "cannon builds", but most of them are from like a year or 2 ago, and i assume things have changed since then? I would really like to join a fleet and i just say "i have x ship" and they say "Put x on". I like to play a game, and i don't mind grinding, but i don't want to do all the math/calculations/ testing to know what is the best build for each ship.
I like the Typhoon; idk it looks nice to me. I also like BSG a lot, maybe there is truly a coincidence 😅. Unfortunately, ships with floating parts like warp nacelles don't resonate at all with me. Good video as always, thank you!
its pretty amazing u called it, all 3 of them u said where pretty likely to happen, and boom: u nailed it ^^ and while all 3 look interesting and fun, the only the Achilles seems realy good to me, and maybe the Typhon for Carrier fans, but the Premenition seems a bit lackluster to me. will have to wait and see i guess ^^
Could you do a video on the difference between Damage Resistance and Bonus Damage Resistance? I'm terrible at math and have no idea what the Wiki is trying to explain lol. Thx!
I wish the Premonition had been modeled closer to its appearance in Armada rather than reimagined with the Vesta aesthetic. The other two ships are so faithful... and the Premonition gets its heritage ignored. Should really look closer to a Sovereign... like the current model is fine... but its not really a "replica" of the ship like the blog says...
Honestly, I like the creative liberties they took with Premonition. The original was such a low res model (being from a RTS released in 2000) that they could make some additions so it coincides better with STO's aesthetic. It still resembles the Sovereign, like the original, but added some other elements from ships that would be from the future from the Sovereign's perspective, like the Vesta.
I was heavily disappointed the Gemini console doesn't target an allied ship. Id love it if it could target an ally but the Enterprise comes in when no valid allies are nearby
Let's be honest. If the Achilles had that science Council in the engineering Council section, would you really put anything other than an Isomag in it? I think they did that as a way to balance the ship.
Do you see anything in this bundle changing the meta? Maybe the Typhon starship trait? Maybe? Last but not least... they really hated on the Premonition and I really was looking forward to it.
The Typhon's trait is only going to effect the Pet Build Meta. Like I said in the video, if you like Pet Builds, you'll want that trait. With how well Achilles' Experimental Weapon is doing, it'll likely be the Meta choice for Phaser builds (assuming you're on a ship with an Experimental Weapon slot).
@@Stu1701 I'm really happy to hear that about the hexacannon because it was definitely why I was eyeing the achilles because I love that alpha strike type of weapon (its why I love phaser lances).
Half way through, i saw you "only" have 4 Isomags on the Achilles. Are they so much better, than 5 advanced tactical consoles you could fit in? Just curious, if i have to revamp all my ships because i didnt get the isomags :D
Isomags are pretty absurd, because you get the type damage, the weapon power, and a STACKING max weapon power modifier, meaning you end up with your weapon power holding steady at a level much higher than the normal max if you're using vulnerability loctors and exploiters. This makes is kind of hard to intuit how good they are from reading the percentages alone, but 4 isomags is better than 5 and probably 6 advanced tac consoles. It's not a big deal if you don't have them, though, but if you're dipping your toes into elite content, you probably want to look at getting some. They can increase your DPS a lot, or allow you to slot a few extra universal consoles for "free".
As much as i hate the look of the Typhon the lazy boat build looks nice on it and kinda makes it theme will you be doing a build video on it with the others also?
the answer is likely no. it's usually free t6 ship already released up to certain date. these ships wont be eligible until next year if it goes as usual
has anyone any luck finding the Valkyrie fighter squadron (any rarity) hangar pets in stores, I got the typhon assault carrier and was looking to upgrade pets but I can't find them anywhere. is this a bug, or am I just stupid?
The Typhon comes with the Valkyries, so it should unlock the option to buy the rarer versions. Advanced level should be available in the Dilithium store, and Elite should be at the Fleet Starbase. Check those places, and if you're still not seeing them, let me know and I'll ask around. I can't check it myself because I already have the Valkyries unlocked from other ships.
@@Stu1701 I just checked, I can't find any of the rarities of the Valkyrie squadron (I checked all stores with the exception of the fleet store, as my fleet isn't advanced enough to get access to elite hanger pets) and I bought the bundle; it's not like they're greyed out, I can't find them at all and I used the search function. I know the elite Valor fighters are good, but I wanted to try out the Valkyrie squadrons out of nostalgia.
Yep, you were right, because it's listed in today's patch notes. So you should be able to get the better versions of the Valkyries after today's patch.

That's how it appeared in Star Trek Invasion. Spencer and I have been saying this since the Typhon was first teased, it's not a big ship.

Im definitely getting this bundle when it comes out on Console. I have an idea for a mad build involving DHC's, the defiant quad cannons, and the Hexa Cannons from the Achilles
"When it first came out"
Like, yesterday? 😂
Just ragging on you, Stu. Thanks for another great video!
The reason I like the Typhon design is the same reason I like the Defiant. It's an atypical starfleet design.
Maybe this is like "Okay so, we're going to basically do a limited live trial of a third hangar bay, but we obviously don't want *everyone* running 3 hangar bays at once so let's start it out with a trait, and if that holds up OK, maybe we can talk about a carrier rework with 3rd hangars where appropriate."
I could be wrong, but I seem to remember them doing something like that before. Testing something via a trait and then later implementing it a bit more broadly. (I don't remember what offhand though and I could be confusing it with another game.)
Yeah, I'm gonna grab the bundle, Lovely stuff, good value. Any yes, I need those hangar pets😊. Great review
Elite Force 2 weapons should have been skin updates for the weapons in the ESD vendor.
Premonition got close to being better than the Verne, but got let down by the bridge layout.
If the Tactical was /TO, and the Ensign and Lt seats were switched, it would have been perfect.
It should be noted that when playing PvE matches like Battle of the Binary Stars, the Typhon doesn't currently seem to be able to use Fortress mode.
Really? I hadn't heard that. It's probably because of the holo-costume it puts on your ship, only Typhon's model has the animation for Fortress Mode. The same probably will likely occur in Wolf 359 too.
Picked the bundle up last night. Was only able to play around with the Achilles but I love it!
Here's a crazy idea: Add an extra hangar bay to carriers when you apply a T6-X2 upgrade token to them. That way any existing carrier won't be left behind and you can choose what pets go in the hangar bay.
And buff Frigates
Good thing I haven't bought the Valdres now that theres a better source of Valkyrie Fighters
addendum: Typhon makes a great elite Ninth Rule stationary farm (I had Very Cold in Space to keep them there) oh and my Flight Decks and My Terran Lexington now had fun with the trait
The Achilles FUCKS. I absolutely love it, and I've been flying a Wing Cannon Overload Kumari since that class launched.
so i did a little bundle Maths
1 ship = 3k Zen
3 Ex Upgrades = 2k Zen
bundle give 4 Ships + 9 Upgrades =18k Zen
bundle price = 12.5 Zen
you save = 5.5k Zen nealy 2 ships FREE ( in sterlin thats est £40)
on sale its 9,375 Zen for a total savings of 8,625 Zen
So what I'm hearing is that you will be coming out with an updated lazy boat build that's a mix of the snw Connie lazy boat, and the awahnee pet build soon, for the Typhon?
yeah, pretty much
To told the truth Achilles with Odyssey hull and Defiant pattern looks stunning.
Jellyfish?
I adore Star Trek Armada - its cool to see the the Premo show up...its probably got the seating to get me away from my 25th century sci ship :D
So does it do it on activation or pulse? Cause you could do some insane things if it triggers with every activation of the GW
Typhon: For a brick, it flew pretty good.
Achilles: Time to show 'em our new teeth. FIRE THE MAIN GUN!
Premonition: Oh I can't kill you, but my buddies can. Say hi buddies! *HI!*
If memory served me correctly in Armada, the Premonition was literally a Sovereign class with the temporal pod attached to the top back of the saucer,
Yeah it pretty much was.
"For a brick it flew pretty good"
oh i just see u have the Shuttle Summon from the last event slotted, u dont need to do that, it is available for use if u keep it in ur inventory aswell ^^
Good video as always, thank you!
its pretty amazing u called it, all 3 of them u said where pretty likely to happen, and boom: u nailed it ^^ and while all 3 look interesting and fun, the only the Achilles seems realy good to me, and maybe the Typhon for Carrier fans, but the Premenition seems a bit lackluster to me. will have to wait and see i guess ^^
wouldn't it be nice to actually control what EXTRA hanger bay they have in it to launch? like a 3rd 7 shuttle, or throw in something else? just ideas.
Could you do a video on the difference between Damage Resistance and Bonus Damage Resistance? I'm terrible at math and have no idea what the Wiki is trying to explain lol. Thx!
The Typhon looks like the cutout of the Vengence.
I love this bundle so much!
Mirror Premonition will be a Temporal Battle Cruiser
the jellyfish console needs to be timed also
What's been kicking my ass is the Dilithium refinement cap. I've got hundreds of thousands of Dilithium, but none of it is refined.
I was heavily disappointed the Gemini console doesn't target an allied ship. Id love it if it could target an ally but the Enterprise comes in when no valid allies are nearby
I like the way STO did it
Let's be honest. If the Achilles had that science Council in the engineering Council section, would you really put anything other than an Isomag in it? I think they did that as a way to balance the ship.
When I saw fortress mode in the trailer I'm like "holy s" they added death blossom to a ship.
the servers are so clogged today, i haven't been able to log in all day
Do you see anything in this bundle changing the meta?
Can you please share what consoles you are using on the Typhoon and Achilles?
I always just thought of the Typhon as a fat Defiant, myself - I mean, Worf designed it so - of course - it's blocky and tanky and turns on a dime
Tphon looks cool and is a good platform , very nice.
@@MrVeps1 Thanks mate :) that could explain why my lexingtion FAW (7 Isomags) shreds through patrols :D
A Typhon Lazy Boat--YAAAAAASSSS!
As much as i hate the look of the Typhon the lazy boat build looks nice on it and kinda makes it theme will you be doing a build video on it with the others also?
The typhoon is small it surprised me how small it is
I've been waiting for a good fed carrier forever
Can you please do a build(s) video for the Achilles?
“Why couldn’t it be a battle cruiser”……. Could be worse…its console clicky could have summoned two enterprise G’s instead 😂
Dumb question. Are the T6 coupons from the year end event
Reward eligible for these new ships to be purchased individually?
the answer is likely no. it's usually free t6 ship already released up to certain date. these ships wont be eligible until next year if it goes as usual
You can purchase these ships individually using T6 C Store ship tokens yes. It is how i got all three ships (as i wasn't interested in the bundle)
This is what federation ships should look like, no obvious weak spots and heavily armored and armed, no matter the size.
I like this guy saying word 'slot' 🤭
the typhon slaps.... but for some reason i cant buy the valkryie fighters still
Typhon should have been Com - MW
Achilles should have been MW - Int
Premonition should have been Temp - Plt/Int
Brother, I need the loadout list of the Typhon. My eyes aren't fit to see stuff meant for ants.
got ya covered. literally working on the build video now.
The achiles is one sexy ship
Best bundle in years imo
Haha, I found a post credits text and wanna my reward 😗
has anyone any luck finding the Valkyrie fighter squadron (any rarity) hangar pets in stores, I got the typhon assault carrier and was looking to upgrade pets but I can't find them anywhere. is this a bug, or am I just stupid?
@@Stu1701 Appreciate the help. Now, i need to get wide arc phaser heavy cannons set up for the full experiences and I'll be set.
Those combat pets are only if you buy the bundle? ffs
Come now. We all know that someone at Cryptic has a real hard on for Sniper rifles and pulsewaves. Both generally mediocre weapons.
i just want the Eisenberg =(
The handle of the rifle looks IMPOSSIBLE to hold. I know that means nothing but I can't NOT see that.
Fiesty little box 😂
Smitham Fall
Epic bundle comes out and the arc servers take a dump lol
He likes /starship barbie .
