I graduated from the same management school as Abhishek last year. I can attest to the validity of his experience. Every bit of what he mentioned is nothing but the absolute TRUTH. Even with over a year of professional experience working internationally and after moving to London (city of opportunities) I haven’t landed a relevant job yet. The country is seeing probably one of its worst times ever and international graduates like us have to work petty jobs to make ends meet. So far I’ve applied to over 870 roles. About 70% never cared to get back and the ones that did simply said ‘we’re extremely impressed by your profile however on this occasion we’ve chosen to move forward with another candidate who has relevant experience’. My only takeaway from all the rejections is ‘ BE FLEXIBLE ’. Don’t just limit yourself to jobs in London or UK for that reason. It’s a free world, apply wherever you find good opportunities, gain relevant experience and you can always relocate. Good luck to everyone on the same boat as us, I wish everyone immense success.

You could try Germany, Netherlands or the States for a better chance at landing a technical job.

I totally agree with him. From April , the situation will be even worse for international students. By the end of this year they are revising graduate visa also. They are completely trying to make UK unfavorable for international students. Those students who didn’t made it to this country are lucky people.

The only reason people go abroad is they cant face conpetition here. Going abroad is not bad it is good as work is very less and pay is good.My company is of Uk only and the uk people work max of 4 hours or 6 and all the brain storming task are given to inidans.I would also go abroad but when i become a good software developer. So, far this candidate is not even talked about the impact of AI related technologies in the field of finance when most banks and large financial institions are going for major cost cutting exercise globally and AI related automation. UK has been in recession for so many years and their media does not give the true picture of unemployment as it will affect the student market which is a large contributor to the UK GDP. Commenting from UK on student visa - majority of students go back to their country from UK. Those who stay work in part or full time in stores after doing masters for Rs 40 lakhs…you will be lucky if you do not cone to UK Canada or Aus on student visa….Do not get blown away with foreign tag….It is a lot tough when you have to pay loans and you are unable to earn. getting a job is really tough…maximum students are unemployed and thus go back…
Thoda dimmag lagao and do not waste your money…I know many students from LSE, Kings college, Warwick, Imperial and Manchester who could not find a job for 6 months in UK…you will be foolish if you take a loan only to find out that there are no jobs here…I can guarantee that more than 80 prct fresh international graduates from university of Manchesterr are unemployed in UK and are going back in 2024. Universities just want your money. Atleast in India there is a concept of placement cells in universities….No Indian will take admission in any UK university if they publish their performance in employment after studies. maximum students are working in stores for £25,000 (£12000 in rent) after paying £40,000 in fee😢
