It never ceases to amaze me how incredibly confident and commanding these teens are. Had the crowd in the palms of their hands. And the Kami's were just killing it. Nice job with this reaction. Thanks.
Great reaction brother 🔥🤘🦊🤘🔥 I wouldn't worry about lyrics to start with. You can often understand a theme or feel to a song through the performance. So much can literally be lost in translation. Keep on rocking friend 💥🎸🥁 🎸💥
⚡ 💀 💕 / 🏃♀👹 Great to see a reaction to the full LEGEND 1997 performance, instead of one of the compilations out there. This cute song is about playing a game that is like hide-and-go-seek, tag or blind-man's-bluff. Pursued by an "Oni"" which is a kind of Japanese ogre, or demon. While Megitsune is still my favorite, I think this has one of their their cutest choreographies. If much of their charm is in the blending of the cute and the brutal, this song is a great example. They're all turned up to 11. They performed this song quite a bit in 2017, but not since. The last time I saw this one live was in Chula Vista, California when they were on tour opening for Korn.
Good reaction. 'Catch Me If You Can' is the best metal song about playing a game that's a sort of cross between tag, blind man's bluff and hide & seek I've ever heard. It is the perfect mix of the two extremes with the brutal instrumentals and the sweet vocals - and the game they are playing, they're playing with an Oni👹 (a sort of Japanese ogre popular in regional festivals and used specifically to frighten children ... and the idea of that probably amuses me a lot more than it really should 😁). The growling vocals (they are on a backing track) are the Oni asking things like "Are you ready?" and the best response has to be "Maada da yo" (No, not yet) while doing a running away from an Oni dance.🏃♀🏃♀🏃♀👹
Awesome, this is actually one of the better performances of CMIYC. You should check out the Budokan 2014 version on your own. Kami Band does an amazing intro. Babymetal is just somethin’ else. For my entire adult life, I can never get down with the “overly cute” acts in music or entertainment…until Babymetal came along. Maybe because they’re “adorably bad ass” 🤣🤘🦊

Nice reaction! I prefer the 2014 Budokan version of this song.
