Day 5: we are traveling on the Alaska Highway (or Alcan Highway).
After sleeping at Walmart in Whitehorse we hit the road again!
We celebrated the km 1500. We stopped at the Historic Canyon Creek Bridge.
8 km before Haines Junction we stopped to sleep ( boondocking ) in a beautiful spot in the woods.
Day 6: an encounter with a bear! We love wildlife!

"Leave everything and wander” is the result of Sara Bertagnolli’s and Luca Sguazzini’s desire to join their own skills and realize a dream: that of traveling, leaving the certainties and securities of everyday life behind.
After university Sara achieved high-level professional goals in the field of management and became the personal assistant to the fashion designer Philipp Plein.
Luca has been traveling a lot since he was a child and the last year he gained notoriety for his participation in the Italian version of “Dancing with the stars”; he has more than 138k followers on Instagram and 50k on Facebook.
They have decided to join forces and to tell a life out of the ordinary on social networks. The plan is to travel through Canada, Alaska and, in a second moment, United States, Messico and South America and to share the trip’s photos and videos on TH-cam, Facebook and Instagram, giving to everyone the possibility to experience the “wander-spirit”.
Traveling without temporal or spatial limits will give Sara and Luca the possibility to entangle their story with that of people they will meet on the road and to discover new cultures, visiting also the places which are not famous, the ones which often have the biggest surprises in store.
The start-up budget will be limited in order to demonstrate that - also without great economical resources - everything is possible if you put the work in and involve as many people as possible.

Beautiful coloring on that black bear. A friend from Alaska said the only black bears you need to watch out for are the ones that are guarding a berry patch. Said that's their favorite food and they get very territorial over berry patches.

Hungry bear
A wonderful filming of a Brown Bear (aka. Grizzly). In Latin nomenclature both species share the same scientific name "Ursus arctos." However, because their food sources and geographic ranges differ (ie. coastal vs. mountain), the inland Grizzly with its grizzled hair tips is presently considered a subspecies (ie. Ursus arctos horribilus). The Grizzly is considered the more aggressive. Use extreme caution which is advisable for any wild animal.

that bear was so cute when he was eating...i see that you meet lots of wild animals during your journey. i have a question.. do you have a gun or weapon to defend yourselves against wild animals? they can be dangerous
hey Simmu, thank you for the question. Usually, if you respect and keep the right distance from the wildlife, it's not so dangerous. In case of attack, we have a proper bear spray. In the highest percentage of wildlife attack, is human's fault!
yes, a pepper spray is good choice to distract the animals attention. and also to avoid killing him.
Yes, exactly! Guns or weapons are dangerous, can kill animals and people. And we don't want either of them.
