Such a bummer that you didn’t get to do anything in Whitehorse. It’s such a cute town! We spent Canada Day there in 2017 on our way back to the Lower 48. My teenagers who spent their preschool years in AK have really been enjoying this series. Mama gets all the feels reminiscing. ❤
The last time I stayed at an old hotel with a literal key the place was haunted, so I’d probably appreciate sleeping in the not so dark. 😂 An ad for Listerine played in the middle of the toe portion of the video. Well played, TH-cam. As a former travel agent, I got to do a fam trip with the American Queen steamboat. So worth a try if you want to do a paddle boat.
Great video. It is a nice drive through British Columbia to the Yukon and then onto Alaska. You certainly should try to do it with your camper some time. We have a beautiful country you can explore (Canada!). Looking forward to the next portion of the cruise.
I was born in Canada and I am a very proud Canuck but was raised and spent all my years here in New Zealand. This video has inspired me to think seriously about more travelling around Canada. You guys should definitely consider a trip down under to good old NZ (very different from Australia so don’t think if you have visited one you have visited both). The scenery is spectacular and RVing is a great way to see our little piece of paradise. There are also very good cruises around NZ. Kiwis are usually very hospitable people and I think you would really enjoy the experience albeit we know it’s a long and expensive journey getting here.
We went through here recently, and one of our tour members asked if we’d see the Northern Lights. I knew we wouldn’t, because it doesn’t get dark enough. If you want to see them, try a trip in September or even October if you there are trips through the Yukon. It’ll be chillier, but you might see them!
I got to know did you do the "Sour Toe"? Also Zesty Cheese Doritos.. is a Canadian Thing you cant get in the US of A and they are amazing! The entire state of California fits inside British Columbia and we have just over 5 million people living here. 1/8 the population :)
Holland America leases a 737 from Air North, which is Yukon's airline. And, a well loved one at that! A few other little bobbles, but in general, an excellent video. A taste of why some of us love living up here! 14 years here, and I still haven't done the toe! :)
Next time you are in Canada, try a Big Turk…it is in part of video where you were showing the empty wonder bar box. Big Turk is a candy bar manufactured by Nestlé in Canada, that consists of dark magenta Turkish delight coated in a chocolate coating.
Great video! Thanks for sharing our remote part of the world with everyone. One little note, holland America charters a couple flights a week from Air North during the summer for these excursion, on one of its 737s. Still an awesome experience to have a private jet on your trip!
Thanks for the videos. I am watching each one as we are doing the trip in reverse in early August. Really sorry to hear about not getting to go on the Klondike Spirit paddle wheel. 😢Will this dock be fixed anytime soon?
What a fantastic video!! Hubby and I just did an Alaskan cruise and have talked about doing another to visit other ports but, now I’m going to have share this with him and give it serious consideration, I love it!! Will reach out if and when we decide to go for it, thank you so much!!
On June 21, the longest day, there is a party on the Dome where people watch the sunset...then about 30min later watch it rise. Recognized one of the flight attendants even with the blur. Air North flies commercial flights from Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Victoria and Kelowna...and winter charters for locals to Mexico. Just be careful if looking for the airline online, flyairnorth is Canada, airnorth is in Australia. Loved in Whitehorse for ten years, you just missed the River Quest in Dawson.
I had thought of taking a Princess cruise to Alaska because they had a land package that included Denali. Now I'll check out Holland cruises, I didn't know they had land packages. Thanks for the video on Dawson.
So just changed from a 14 day Alaskan cruise on Princess to a 14 day land + cruise with HA instead.. mostly due to this video. Can’t wait to visit Dawson City, might give the toe drink a miss though lol.
Gotta throw some extra love on this video, especially for Jason’s drone shots. A quack quack duck fart is one thing…Thank you for not doing the toe shot. ♥️
The Keno riverboat has been dry docked since 1951. Did you visit the Dänojà Zho Cultural Centre (First Nations museum) while in Dawson City or do any of the Parks Canada tours like the Robert Service or Jack London cabins? There was so much to see when we drove there in an RV on the Top of the World Highway last year. Highly recommend the got do it.
Can you share which HAL Itinerary you booked? I see several that include the Yukon and it appears that you booked a land first tour but cannot figure out which one you were on. Loving your videos and considering a future booking to do the same Itinerary because we want to do the train, Denali, Yukon, Cruise.
Lots go on aircrafts. The battery needs to be in your carry on, that is the main requirement...oh, and never fly it at an airport, aerodrome or heliport without permission.
Did all the other people from the first part of the land tour not do the rest or do you book portions of the Alaska Cruise Tour? I'm guessing you can pick portions but asking to confirm. Thanks. Can I say, according to the "legend" only one toe was cut off. I love the folklore concept though. I'd do it, except if I do a whiskey shot, I'd need "bail money" because proper shots are meant to be done properly. Gotta follow my mama's rules. Straight up, down and no chaser. My "kids" are the same, hereditary? IDK. Spoiler alert = agreements US and Canada.
I live just outside of town, and I have two months with no sun at all. It is there for about 3 hours but does not come up over the hills. One can see if from the Midnight Dome though.
Oh that’s a NO for the TOE honey. 😂 How do you get the souvenirs home if they’re are not something you can pack or drag with you on a plane? Can you ship it home?
I'll tell you why Museums don't ""scoop"" up stuff like that. The smaller places are trying to hold on to all these historical artifacts because ALL the large Museums would just HOLD ALL these artifacts deep down in their storage areas and these things WOULD NEVER EVER see the light of day AGAIN!!!!!

There aren't many high-quality videos of Yukon and Dawson City on TH-cam. This is excellent.
I am really enjoying this series. Now we need to get to Dawson City. Thanks so much guys.
Excellent narration. Loved every minute. Such natural beauty. Felt like I was there.
Would love to see a future adventure from your RV to Alaska!
I would love to one day!

I Love that the school is orange and yellow cause thats what the kids wanted! Excellent video guys!
It comes from a painting by Jim Robb. The kids voted for those colours! Which really work when it is dark in the winter.
I have to show this to my husband ! I bet he would try that drink
Great narrative on Dawson City, I was there in 1990. My cousin had a gold claim just, outside,on Dominion Creek.
That’s so cool!
Dawson looks like every small town in Saskatchewan ...minus the mountains lol

Thank you, that was so interesting. Can’t wait for the next segment.
A lot of good and interesting info Alisa provided.
Fun vlog!🎉

I was born in Whitehorse, lived in Mayo YK for the first 9 months of my life. I can’t wait to go back, hopefully next summer

We stayed in a historical hotel in Ireland, that looks like a wonderful land tour.
I'm enjoying this vlog series so much! I've dreamed about the land and sea , Holland America trips for years. Thank you for sharring!!❤
I was wishing you were going to go to Whitehorse, my sister lives there so was going to scour the background to see if I could see her lol
This is a wonderful tour! Plan to go in 2024

I love watching your vlogs. We also love camping as well as cruising.
We are in the RV now so those will be coming soon 👍
This is so interesting , Please keep up these videos ! This would be my bucket list trip !
I’ve been to Yukon. I very much enjoyed myself. Have fun.
I’m so excited about this series. Super cool! Great quality guys.
Loving these vlogs thanks for sharing 🙏🇬🇧
Loved this video!!! Thank you! ♥️
We were able to buy the Wonder Bar in Detroit Michigan some year's ago, when I was growing up, love them too.
Thanks for sharing. Never have done a land tour, but it’s on my bucket list now. Looks like you guys have an amazing time.
We have said the same as you after visiting Alaska on a cruise tour - we have to go back in our RV to explore further at a more leisurely pace.
Thanks for the videos. I am watching each one as we are doing the trip in reverse in early August. Really sorry to hear about not getting to go on the Klondike Spirit paddle wheel. 😢Will this dock be fixed anytime soon?
What a GREAT video! So informative and plain ol FUN! So glad you are showing us interesting places to travel to other than the Caribbean!
Thank you for this as it is exactly what we are wanting to do!!
Hi guys looks western for sure.
I've noticed this video and recent videos have microphone issues. Just trying to help yall😉👍
Yeah I’m having issues with my mic port in the camera! Only picking up right side like mono

It would have been so cool to be there that day!
Wow that’s amazing.
I had thought of taking a Princess cruise to Alaska because they had a land package that included Denali. Now I'll check out Holland cruises, I didn't know they had land packages. Thanks for the video on Dawson.
Yes! And if you want to see the Yukon, only HAL does this.
So just changed from a 14 day Alaskan cruise on Princess to a 14 day land + cruise with HA instead.. mostly due to this video. Can’t wait to visit Dawson City, might give the toe drink a miss though lol.

There was no way I was doing that 🤢
Awesome video!!

Loving the videos ❤️
Great video ❤❤❤❤
Those bars you spoke of, I'm quite sure I've seen them in Cincinnati, Ohio at Jungle Jim's International Grocery store 😁
Your drone coverage is spot on!! Love your videos.
Thank you 😊
Too bad you couldn’t visit the museum in Whitehorse. It’ll have to wait for your RV trip !
And, a full Mammoth tusk! Miners call it "white gold" when they find them, as they can sell for a lot of money.
❤HAL
good video, I’ve been in Dawson City for 9 months, come visit
I love your channel You guys know how to do it right! I enjoy all your video travels. Stay safe out there
Thank you so much!
Nice video. Great info. Thanks and take care.
@eecctravels Loving the vlog of the Yukon/Denali tour package from HAL! What were the dates of your trip?
Can you share which HAL Itinerary you booked? I see several that include the Yukon and it appears that you booked a land first tour but cannot figure out which one you were on. Loving your videos and considering a future booking to do the same Itinerary because we want to do the train, Denali, Yukon, Cruise.
Come on now, why didn't you drink a toe??? LOL Love your adventures.
This toe cocktail is a hard NO! 😂
How did you get your drone on the plane We’re doing Alaska cruise next year and my grandson has a drone but they said you can’t take it on the plane😢
Lots go on aircrafts. The battery needs to be in your carry on, that is the main requirement...oh, and never fly it at an airport, aerodrome or heliport without permission.
@@rosemarysmith5967 Ty I will check into that
I'm just curious: What time of year did you go on this vacation? How many days was it.
Did you guys run into Tony Beets for Goldrush?
Did all the other people from the first part of the land tour not do the rest or do you book portions of the Alaska Cruise Tour? I'm guessing you can pick portions but asking to confirm. Thanks.

Is the daylight mostly in the summer months or year round?
Summer months
I live just outside of town, and I have two months with no sun at all. It is there for about 3 hours but does not come up over the hills. One can see if from the Midnight Dome though.
I would never do the soar toe cocktail I think it’s silly sorry lol 😊
Oh that’s a NO for the TOE honey. 😂
How do you get the souvenirs home if they’re are not something you can pack or drag with you on a plane? Can you ship it home?
Chartered
I just priced this for my family of 3 for next July and it’s $9870 😩
Not any grosser than drinking tequila with a worm in it. And you are supposed to eat the worm🤢
Have you had poutine yet??
We have and we love it
That toe thing is disgusting. Are people crazy? Place looks beautiful.
No thanks that’s disgusting
