Wow! Check out some of Bob Marley's songs. 1. Zimbabwe 2.War...Bob Marley's interpretation in a song from a speech by Haile Selassie. All those people who were coming from the rural areas in the past regime were not allowed as they were stamps in the dompas just like an an id document. So if they had no permits dhowing that they should or came for work they will be arrested and given 48hrs out of johannesburg..

Wow look Ethiopia's constitution and state structure. It's following Apartaid system. Each tribe has it's own state and will never be united to change a dictator forever.
very sad but southern african blacks did not have too much fit also,if look mozabque and guinea bissau in west africa both countries were colonized by portugal, blacks in guinea bissau and portuges were killing each other for many years after they gained indep many years before mozanbique
Apartheid also happened in Namibia under the Afrikaners regime after the Germans left Namibia the Afrikaners were told to oversee the independence of Namibia but instead they started their own apartheid regime on the Namibian people and everything that Mpho said also happened to the Namibians, no white bread for blacks, pass for blacks if visiting towns from villages, no gatherings, locations in towns were divided according to tribes, the Afrikaners were living in the suburbs far from blacks
14:52 Correct answer they used force, manipulation (including using the bible) and bribing the Chiefs to capture the land. Many battles were fought by chiefs and kings of various tribes against these pinkies.

@Tarubini1 Shaka's statue is at King Shaka International Airport in KZN, his memorial is in KwaDukuza. Please also remember that Shaka was a hero to his people and an enemy to others. Oliver Tambo's statue is at OR Tambo International Airport in Kempton Park. Who else are you missing?
@@lebo5281 Very good to know thanks, I didn’t know. But there is more ground to cover looking at those apartheid guys displayed in Pretoria. I felt that there is need to balance the equation more….
@Tarubini1 Ask a question Mark don't assume, there's always an answer. There are 100 bronze statues of Freedom Fighters of all races in a series called "Long March to Freedom", they move around the country for display in different areas, you can Google the name and see who the 100 people include. Oh, there's a Brenda Fassie statue in Newtown, Jhb. Pick a name, we shall tell you how their memory has been preserved, don't worry about Paul Kruger.
As a nation we are proud to see our greats being elevated but because of these puppets that has sold themselves to the west our greats or more of our history won't be known as even this generation and the coming generation.
Excellent first hand history👍🏾👍🏾

Big up
It was sad though that they did not know who won the Anglo-Boer war. They need to go back to school.
@@chocon8818 naa, they can be forgiven. That's minor. Remember the boers won the battle but the British came back with reinforcement to win the war.
Jamaicans were actively rooting against apartheid ; this is the first time I’m hearing it explained. Thank you

I differ with some of the points they said
I still don’t understand why there are no monuments for South Africa’s greats like Shaka Zulu and others 30 years on into democracy?
@Tarubini1 Shaka's statue is at King Shaka International Airport in KZN, his memorial is in KwaDukuza. Please also remember that Shaka was a hero to his people and an enemy to others.

I think SA and Namibia are the only countries in Africa that had apartheid after the colonizers left cos it was a different thing from colonising,
Is S Africa shy of elevating their greats?
