Dio came to a huge party at my house in Chicago. I played guitar and he sang improv all night. It was a riot. I'll never forget is and he autographed an album for me and I never opened it.
God tried to bless Him but Ronnie denied Christ's Divinity and so unless He repented there are no more blessings to be bestowed upon him. He is lost forever to the pit if he died unrepentent and God condemned him. “I think that He was a prophet. I’ve had a difficult time coming to terms with Jesus Christ as the Son of God. He was a great man for the time. He was the right Man for the right time. Let’s put it this way: I think He was a hell of a lot better than Michael Jackson. I think the Christ figure is a very interesting piece of work, whoever wrote that piece. A lot of embellishment went on inside of it, I’m sure, but the one positive thing I can say about it I can say is that all of the work of Jesus Christ, all of His words, all of His teachings - if they were his - are certainly very positive attitude, and are to be admired. Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Savior, I have no problem with that at all. But if it’s not Jesus Christ, it’s Buddha, you know? I mean, we’re talking about religion in one small faction. Catholicism and Christianity are not the only religion on this planet. There have got to a situation where by there are others who are Christ-like. We ever know, in other religions, they have similar names for people. They seem to be edging the issue, because they don’t want to put everybody off about Jesus Christ. My feelings are that the teachings were great, but in my mind, my religious beliefs are that you are God, and you are Jesus Christ, and you are the devil, and I am, and all the people I know around me are. But I don’t need to go to some place and listen to somebody else to tell me whether I’m good or bad, or whether I’m right or wrong. I am my shrine. You are your shrine. We are all Jesus Christ, and again, I have no problem with anyone thinking Jesus Christ is this deity, someone up there. It’s cool.” - Ronnie James Dio So yea no man can bless what God has cursed and since Ronnie denied Jesus He had committed the unforgivable sin which shuts off the door to repentence. It takes a miracle from God Himself to save a person stuck in the Eternal Sin.

When you've tried, do they hide, deep inside Is it someone that you know You're just a picture, you're an image caught in time We're a lie, you and I We're words without a rhyme There's no sign of the morning coming You've been left on your own Like a rainbow in the dark Just a rainbow in the dark, yeah When I see lightning, you know it always brings me down 'Cause it's free and I see that it's me Who's lost and never found Feel the magic, I feel it floating in the air But it's fear, and you'll hear It calling you beware Look out There's no sight of the morning coming There's no sight of the day You've been left on your own Like a rainbow Like a rainbow in the dark, yeah You're a rainbow in the dark Just a rainbow in the dark No sign of the morning You're a rainbow in the dark

@@mhacousticrenderings Next time, I am almost expecting you to write about how Sasquatch and Jim Morrison played your party!! 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
A timeless classic rock gem. God bless you, Ronnie!😊
It’s cool.” - Ronnie James Dio
So yea no man can bless what God has cursed and since Ronnie denied Jesus He had committed the unforgivable sin which shuts off the door to repentence. It takes a miracle from God Himself to save a person stuck in the Eternal Sin.

14 yrs has passed since Dio went to Dio! 😢😮
I absolutely feel this kind of "you aren't alone" anthem each time I hear dio, sabbath and maiden. My son whose autistic loves this song as much I do
That voice. I can't count how many times I've listened to this song.
I cried like a little girl the day they announced his death on the radio! I cannot believe he has been gone 13 years now! R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio, you still shine like a Rainbow in the Dark!
This era of music is still the greatest of all time. 🤘

You're not the only one.
I’m a 90’s kid and have been searching for this video for a few years. Don’t feel bad.
Ronnie your music and your existence in this world is a blessing unto my life, your music has brought me out of loneliness and companionship in my dark days
This song is so meaningful. You been left on your own, like a rainbow in the dark. I love it.
As a lifetime guitar player, teacher, and songwriter, and a lover of metal and rock, I adore this song... The solo is remarkable... R.I.P. Dio....
Brings back so many memories when this was played on MTV and the 80s metal era!
Lyrics:
When there's lightning, you know it always brings me down
'Cause it's free and I see that it's me
Who's lost and never found
I cry out for magic, I feel it dancing in the light
It was cold, I lost my hold
To the shadows of the night
No sign of the morning coming
You've been left on your own
Like a rainbow in the dark
A rainbow in the dark
Do your demons, do they ever let you go?
When you've tried, do they hide, deep inside
Is it someone that you know
You're just a picture, you're an image caught in time
We're a lie, you and I
We're words without a rhyme
There's no sign of the morning coming
You've been left on your own
Like a rainbow in the dark
Just a rainbow in the dark, yeah
When I see lightning, you know it always brings me down
'Cause it's free and I see that it's me
Who's lost and never found
Feel the magic, I feel it floating in the air
But it's fear, and you'll hear
It calling you beware
Look out
There's no sight of the morning coming
There's no sight of the day
You've been left on your own
Like a rainbow
Like a rainbow in the dark, yeah
You're a rainbow in the dark
Just a rainbow in the dark
No sign of the morning
You're a rainbow in the dark
Gracias amigo😁

This song deserves all the praise it has gotten. A gem.

Je t'écoutes depuis que j'ai 14 ans je crois, et seulement aujourd'hui je me rends compte de la place qu'a ta musique dans ma vie.
Merci.
I swear that "Kinds of kindness" has forever changed this song for me, now all I can think about is dogs acting like humans... and even ending themselves like us
What do we need to do to get this man rightly and justly inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame?!
the RNRHOF might have to dig up some old tapes of Ronnie rapping first to do that
Never going to happen.. All the people that understood what these songs were all about. Have no idea how deep they really went..Just go listen to, Man on the Silver Mountain..I bet maybe 20 people get it today...As religion is the last thing they understand..
@@WizzRacingyou kind of lost me there man. I was around for the first iteration of this song, long ago. And my only religion is rock and roll!

As the Man on the Silver Mountain is Moses meeting God for the first time...
But you'll never stop me burning
Come down with fire
Lift my spirit higher
Someone's screaming my name
Come and make me holy again..
And Dio was not religious, But he had an encounter with the living God...That is what separates the Hebrew God from all other types of Religion..
Why I said. Maybe 20 people today get it...
Absolutely! He is and always will be a God of this musical eera
If there was ever a voice that deserved to be backed by a symphony orchestra, it was Dio's. Long live the king, RIP.
