About when you are still connected to your Fritz box down stairs while sitting in the attic. The way to solve that is to decrease power to your transmitter (this can be done in your WiFi band settings in your Fritz box). What happens I think is that your device has a strong enough signal to the box downstairs, so much that it thinks it doesn’t need to switch to your repeater upstairs
I bought three of these, and I’m trying to get them set up, but the other two won’t connect. I have the second one on and instead of a green light , it is orange . Any thoughts to fix this ?
Hey I have a Fritz box (Belgium) WiFi is terrible upstairs. Do you think this will help? Also does it work like a powerline by using the house wiring ? Thank you.
Do you live in Germany by any chance? I ask because as far as I knew Fritz is a big company there and I've never heard of it operating outside their own country.
@@m-copyright I know it's a year since you commented, but Fritz are pretty well known in the UK too; I'm only aware of one British ISP that supplies their routers (Zen Internet on VDSL plans) but they seem to be the choice of people who need something better than the brands you see in big box stores, but don't have the time, knowhow or use case for something like pfsense or a Mikrotik to make sense.
I've just bought one. It will not connect with a none Fritz router. Instructions are incredibly hard to follow. I've set up several repeater in the past with no problem. This one is being returned. Avoided unless you have a Fritz router
Hey Lawrence, can you do an update with the fritz repeater also can you elaborate on using different routers and the mesh technically please?
