      It is hard work but the steam drivers do a wonderful job as do the people that work behind the scenes and keep them running. Glad you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀

    Thanks for sharing. When we were there in 2016, Woolshed Flat had another road (now bitumen) and there was a small passenger platform about the length of the rail motor on which we were travelling. Onto to Quorn.

    • @driver667
      @driver667  ปีที่แล้ว

      They still run a railmotor to woolshed flat as well as this longer trip. Glad you enjoyed it 👍 😊

    G'day, the gradient pull up the steam train up quick must be quite steep in places? Hope you weren't shoveling the fuel into the firebox, that countryside is fantastic and the weather is as well, love that area, can't wait for the next episode, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.

    • @driver667
      @driver667  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would assume that the loco on this is an oil burner as a reliable and cost effective coal supply would be a logistical nightmare

    There has been a lot of sleepers replaced. Question 1, what is the speed limit on the bridges, 2 were the drain cocks on the cylinders open?

    • @driver667
      @driver667  ปีที่แล้ว

      I wasn't the driver on this train. My camera went for a ride. I don't have an answer for you on this run unfortunately as I am not qualified on this railway. 🤔👍😊

    Geez doesn’t the place just look so dry. Even the ground looks parched. No wonder the engine was rasping.
