Hi David, good to hear from you , no its an original pulsator, aparrently it was a Wedding Present along with a Gas Heated Bendix Semi Automatic Front Loader , both were still in the utility room all that time .
Is it a brushed, or induction, motor? Has it been rewired for safety? Is it properly earthed for safety? How do you get spares? Although I appreciate the mechanism will be simple, and hence more reliable. I like to see inside machines.
Hello Marc, the Hoover has a large induction motor made by Hoover themselves, it has been pat tested and is fully earthed, will get a pic of the inside, its very simple just the motor and belt up to the pulsator.
@@WeHadOneOfThose I suspected it would be simple, and hence more reliable. I had a universal Candy, which lasted 19 years, but my God, the carbon dust was horrendous! ... I've got a Hisense Inverter, which is beautifully clean and quiet! I look forward to seeing inside the Hoover!
The very early machines do have the metal pulsator we do have one of those , this was a later model Al picked up when he went to collect another appliance .
@@WeHadOneOfThose Ah good to know, I saw something similar written in the Hoover Service manual. One day I'm going to restore this one and the other single and twin tubs I've collected. So few around these days that it's good to hold onto the ones that have managed to avoid the tipper.
Love these early ones looks like a new pulsator has been fitted . Only draw back is no pump

This one is produced by Hoover In The UK but I have seen similar models in the USSR, a great little machine .
Can you please do more videos on your fisher and paykel Gentle Annie since it’s been a long while
Hello Ryder, another member now has the F & P Gentle Annie and will be sorting videos soon for us.
I have the exact same machine and I'm surprised to see yours has the Bakelite pulsator, whereas the one in mine is stainless steel.

how heavy are these machines
Very light when empty, like a hoover spinner , half the weight of a twintub .
