Really enjoyed the combat patrol scale game have quite a few armies and considering it a good game scale to learn the game as such with a lot less to remember than a full 2k list. Keep up the good work and curious to see what factions you pit against each other. As a series could potentially do a winner stays on and have another faction challenge for the nids crown
Question: why were you shooting both storm bolters from the impulsor at the Gaunts when only one of the storm bolters was facing that squad? Wouldn’t you have to pivot the vehicle to allow both storm bolters to ‘see’? I’m new to 10th and just want to make sure I do this right in the future.
As new to 40k, after watching some demo games, this one is a great game between demo game and pro game. It's full game and some parts are fast, but also include a lot of explaining while keeping the fun vibe.

7:30 this rule is not in the combat patrol as far as I know. Played a couple games with my templars and I never saw a rule like this anywhere. Can someone teach me bout it? Getting an extra CP on a 4+ is a huge thing tho!
27:38 this also doesn‘t seem correct. Storm Bolter is 2 hits. Rapid Fire is 2. So half the range the shots are increased by 2. 2 regular shots + 2 rapid fire shots = 4 shots. Even if I misunderstood the rules, it‘s max attacks would be 2 regular - each of those get rapid fire 2 -> 1regular + 2rapid + 1regular + 2rapid = 6 shots in total. But I think counting it that way is wrong anyway.

They are more than welcome to continue and live under the bridge (their parent’s house) and type with troll-like fervour. I will instead just say I love you guys. I love this channel. agree, but as a nid player, Brian was not as helpful as you might think, and actually got a lot of rules that are important for nids wrong, and that wont help new people in the long run. also wasn't a good look as he was opposition, but as beginners you let that go.
Brian, you broke up the crusader squad incorrectly. You have to do 5 initiates in one group and the Sword Brother and the 4 Neophytes (scout guys) in the other group.Also your weapon loadouts on the Crusaders are incorrect for combat patrol. The first page of the combat patrol document specifies the weapons.

Combat Patrol is, in my opinion, more fun than regular 40k, at least when taking the time investment into account.

Hi Pope, our crusaders were built for 40k rather than combat patrol but wanted to play them wysiwig so kept it simple. Appreciate the heads up though!
