This is a super fun and tactical game. Really enjoy the discussion back and forth about positioning, strategem usage, and order of activation for units.
Doc Mel, looking forward to seeing your Wolves on the channel this Saturday!
I miss the old Titan betraps. Was clean an fun. S9 good to have Brian again to see. 😊
Love the throw back of this game, really nice to see Brian back for a bit like the old days!
Cant wait until Brian fields an all Kroot Army
Loved the game! For the Greater Good of AI kind. It's great to have Brian behind the table. Well played, gents!
Mentioning conventions, I had some great matches at PAX Unplugged. If you're in the north east US at all, it's a great tabletop gaming convention overall, and the minis area has every game you could imagine, and not so overwhelmed that you feel intimidated especially as a more casual player.
Darkstrider can only join Pathfinders.
Its so good to see you tow togwthee again. So hyped to watch yall play old world.
The Objective control discussion at the 2:32ish mark should have looked at the Intercessors ability, it keeps control of an objective until the start orend of a TURN. So Brian would have still held it since Sticky would have stayed.
They addressed that specifically in the latest update. Control is now checked at the end of each phase regardless of the wording on sticky. Death Guard had the same sticky but it's back to per phase now
@@James-tu8on I looked in the rules commentary and couldn't find that. Can you tell me what document and page that's in?
@USAFWolf rules commentary v1.2
Pg. 11
Objective secured sub heading (red writing)
@@James-tu8on awesome, thanks! I was looking for Objective Control and skimmed right over the Objective Secure header...
Even if it’s checked at the end of each phase, Adrian never had OC2 on it at the end.
Every time crisis suits are good, they have to snatch them away.
Makes me want to build nothing but suit lists and Aun'Va and kroot to screen.
Great game and great to see Brian again!!
Brian! Awesome! How did I miss this! :)
Great game and lovely to see Brian OG again
Dev cents in reserve litterally defeats the point of taking them with ventris in the first place *face palm*
Great game, guys! Thank you 🙌🏻
So weird you just said "how do people see Warhammer when they don't understand Warhammer 40k" i was literally just thinking the exact same thing. Just coming back to tabletop after being gone since 6th edition. Now im old and a tattoo artist with too much time on his hands so i figured why not in spirit of space marines 2. So back to table top i go. It just makes sense. Hope people play in my area.

This model can be attached to the following unit:

Hello Mel ❤I’m trying to get back to watching. Every step forward there’s two back in the healing.
Excellent battle report. Do you think its worth dropping thr burst riptide and making some tweaks to afford upping the crisis team with the coldstar to 6 models ?
Vanguard Space Marines was an excellent match-up versus Tau. It’s interesting that despite Vanguard Spearhead’s -1 to Hit beyond 12”, only the shorter range units like the Aggressors and Bladeguards were left standing (except the Redemptor).
I have a Vanguard SM list, which I had to modify because of the recent points changes; I had to drop a second squad of Inceptors and trade-up to a single Phobos Captain from two Phobo-LTs. My Vanguard list has a Repulsor Executioner instead of a Redemptor for the extra firepower, wounds, and transport capacity, and I keep it further back to stay out of 12”. I also take Company Heroes instead of Bladeguards for Uriel Ventriss’ squad. I don’t bother with Eradicators because my Repulsor-Exec has the Heavy Laser Destroyer, and I try something different by taking 2 Suppressors squads.
Most SM players don’t appreciate Suppressors but they work well in Vanguard Spearhead because they inflict another -1 to Hit on the units they suppress. This is highly effective against a shooting army like Tau. Even against melee armies that counteract Vanguard, Suppressors’ ranged damage and suppression can blunt the impact of charges. Combined with a Phobos-LT’s Strategic Dispersal ability or Execute and Redeploy on a Phobos Captain, the Infiltrator squads can be extremely difficult to charge.
That leaves the Centurions and Aggressors to bear the brunt of the enemy’s assault. IF the Apothecary Biologis could HEAL or revive models, it would be far more useful at supporting Calgar’s squad. Unfortunately, GW inexplicably nerfed Space Marines’ Apothecaries in 10e - I don’t understand why! 😡🤬
Adrian I lov ya buddy but please work out what drones you are taking with your T'au units. It was a common theme throughout the battle report. It was still so enjoyable seeing you and OG Brian playing again but uber frustrating with forgetting the drones. P.s Riptides all have 2 missile drones which could of made a difference on a number of occasions. 4 shots hitting on 4s if guilded s7 -2ap 2dam. Dude!!! 😅
I watch all your battle reports when T'au is played at least. Love your bat reps for the most part. But I expect you to pay T'au properly like OG Brian would and not just cop out of the full rules. Of course I'm a T'au player but can't afford to be a channel member at this time. Hope I'm not going to be ignored because of this. Warhammer is awesome and this channel definitely makes it a better place to be ❤
Where can I find those beautiful tau models!?
godforge minis, they have a website
I love adrian brian and bridger. I dont care.about anyone else on the show apart from one man. Anime John. He is a lovely entertaing and nice soul and il miss watchong him ❤
He was my fav too :(
Does Brian use the “Grundy Maneuver”?
edit: guess i should be asking if Adrian does
great game to watch
RE commenting on Brian's question on how people who didn't grow up with old world feel about it, it doesn't have much of the charm or appeal that 40k has for me. The extremely sparse terrain on boards, older looking models, and gameplay loop dont hit the same spot for me that 40k does. I never realized how important terrain was in setting the story for each game until I watched a few old world batreps where there was maybe 1 or 2 pieces of terrain on an otherwise extremely open, empty board. Feels like without the terrain, tabletop games lose some of their charm that got me into the hobby.
This channel was at it's peak with just Brian and Adrian only doing bat reps
Meh. Brian was annoying as hell. Getting rid of John was unforgivable though.
@GaryP336 I didn't even know they got rid of him, he was the only the tolerable player once Brian left.
@@GaryP336Agree both Brian's are meh...first Zack, now Jon....just bad
@@scottburdett4796 he got burnt out and left the channel they didn't get rid of him 😂
@@alexshaw9901I swear, people just love to see drama everywhere.
Thanks!
Love all ur games
The army of Kathy :D
Lost dice look out
Aggressor brick doing nothing in a corner when they should be bullying mid board
So, he asked what our thoughts about Old World is, so here’s mine. From what I’ve seen, the game plays well. It looks fun. I sort of hate how the old models look.
This is just my opinion, but compared to AoS, the models just look childish, for the most part. There are exceptions of course, but overall I’m meh. I do love the lore of the old world too. I just wish they updated the models to have the same vibe of the old world, but had the detail of AoS.
Great game to play. New models will come. Thankfully as also as a Lumineth player in AoS, HE have dragons and phoenixes and there are no silly cow and fox avatars. Nice trade off.

Do not like those Tau models
and once again they play list which are illegal. Darkstrider can't join a breacher unit... I told myself well maybe they play correctly by the rules now. took 3 minutes in the video to stop watching it and go somewhere else..
