- CNBC's Becky Quick sits down with Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett. The billionaire investor weighs in on Kraft Heinz, Apple, the financial sector and his own investment strategy.

Like Warren Buffet said, dividends are only good if the business you’re investing into can’t make good use of that capital. So if you’re trying to invest into businesses with actual growth, looking at dividends is a waste of time. Why are you investing into a company if they’re returning capital to you because they think you can make better use if it than they can. It’s not much different from bond investing. The way I see it if you have a $1 million at some point, that’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50k-70k in dividend income...
It's not difficult, but you have to learn and handle. Another thing is that if you can't manage your home, maybe you shouldn't invest on your own. If so, you should hire a CFP to help you diversify your assets to include ETFs/index funds/mutual funds and stocks of companies with consistent cash flows, rather than betting on penny stocks.
A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for license advisors and came across someone of due diligence, helped a lot to grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to approx. $850k so far.
Over the following 3 months, I want to increase my reserve from $280,000 to at least $550,000. I would be grateful for any advice you can give on how to accurately predict the market and how to diversify and balance my portfolio in order to accomplish my goal.
I really don't like making such recommendations, because everybody's situation is unique. But there are many freelance wealth managers you could check out. I have been working with "Eileen Ruth Sparks" for about four years now, and she's really, really good. If she meets your discretion, then you could go ahead with her. I endorse her.

Instead they go a few pips in my direction, then go against me if when I try holding them. Also my entries could use a lot of improvement. A mentor would be amazing, but getting one is easier said than done. If it's not too much to ask, do you know any legit ones?

Not only is Warren Buffet the best investor in the world, he has the best cartoon-voice-over in the world.
Kraft Heinz relies on its brand to sell products at a higher price. There's a lot more cheaper brands nowadays that offer similar taste/products for much cheaper eg. Kirkland and they are exclusive to big chains like Costco. It's not that consumer habits have changed that much, but there are more cheaper options to buy a similar product.
But it will go back up. This is an investment opportunity

Warren gave such a great interview here. He was totally right about Kraft-Heinz ($KHC). It went down from $35 on the day of this interview all the way down to $25 only 6 months later in Aug 2019 and down to $20 in the Corona dump 6 months after that. Not sure if BRKA bought more shares of KHC in Aug 2019 or March 2020 or not. But sure Warren was absolutely spot on in assessing that KHC was overpriced and the market agreed with that assessment. Just wonderful to learn from this extremely wise man!

I haven't read about NetJets in a while, but I thought you paid an annual fee and then from there you paid hourly rates for flights (plane costs, catering, etc) which you could prepay for up to 25-50 hrs per year. So, getting a free card is pretty generous. Its up to you to load it though.

Successful traders know the right politicians. That's why the politicians always trade just before a stockmarket crash.
Quality control absolutely critical. So. When some had issues, now buying in regards to standards, regulations. Etc. Is imperative to continue our quality control, regulations, regardless to cost and safety. So I would suggest in the markets develop the safety standards even though they cost more are very much worth the investment in any American product.

58:10 - No; that is the problem with wealth disparity being as extreme as it is - these hyper-wealthy individuals and companies are an overall harm because even if they were truly philanthropic, they simply cannot spend enough money fast enough and over a wide enough area (geographically & over different economic sectors) to even justify their existence. These people will always accumulate; they will never have enough to let go when they are alive; and they always seem to think they can set the terms based on their values, and always, there must be an expression of gratefulness and the greatest of thanks for anything given. And then the hypothetical never becomes real because of the doubt of receiving that...and the fear of not having their money....
This is what requires the government to step in and address the sum of all that Wealth... It'd probably be better to be proactive than reactive by just setting a net worth cap.

Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to the fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest decline in value each year. Investment is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people save enough money before retirement.
Stock is good but there are alot of businesses that is more convenient than buying stocks.
