A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.
How can one find a verifiable financial planner? I would not mind looking up the professional that helped you. I will be retiring in two years and I might need some management on my much larger portfolio. Don't want to take any chances

I feel investors should be focusing on under-the-radar stocks, and considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises of plummeting stocks which were once revered and i don't know where to go here out of devastation.

Great job! Making money is not the same as keeping it there is a reason why investments aren't well taught in schools, the examples you gave are well stationed, the market crisis gave me my first millions, people shy away from hard times, I embrace them.. well at least my advisor does lol.

I've seen the loss of more celebrities than I can count in my life...and I've never felt anything when they were gone...but Charlie passing away hurt. The wisdom, the life lessons, the loyalty to BRK and shareholders, the integrity, it just seems so rare these days. A national treasure that influenced me significantly in my life. My life would not be what it is today. my understanding, my world views had I not picked up a book about Warren at the local thrift shop when I was younger, read it cover to cover, discovered BRK and the gang from Omaha. thank you Charlie for the impact you made with your time here.

In a world that constantly looks for quick ideas and dollars made from said ideas, Charlie's lifelong love for learning, grounded in reason, informs how my firms serves clients as a fiduciary in every aspect of what we do. While he is already missed, he will certainly not be forgotten, and the lessons he taught will fuel generations not just of investors, but as entrepreneurs and as leaders. A real legend , and while he talks of arrogance , in all interviews I found him to have humility, and live out the saying " Rather choose the freedom of a humble life than the slavery of extravagance " . astonishing the age gap between the two, Becky though looks like a middle age woman (she is 51) she was born exactly when Charlie was 50 years old , that blew my mind
