- 2004 Park Avenue ultra by Buick with the series II 3800 V6 supercharged engine . Heated seats, disk changer, cruise control, leather seats and power windows. What more could you ask for of a 17 year old car.

Nice hooptie, excellent choice. I have a 99' ultra and maintenanced the hell out of it. I really enjoy driving in it. They are very cheap to fix and most parts are still easy to get.

A car I sadly still miss, the original Buick enclave prototype from 1998 was the Park Ave ultra using the same chassis and drivetrain but the production version was a real joke.

very cool , my first car was was a 98 Lesabre and I miss it sometimes. Might have to look for a Park Avenue Ultra. Looks like an improved version

Do you think this supercharged 3800 is less reliable than the others 3800?

What about this transmission, they hold up as long as the 3800’s engine.

Engine Proably more reliable, if anything. Transmission, not quite as good but I haven't heard any complaints.
I had a Buick lesabre and I have park ave ultra 99 supercharged right now with the 3800 series 2 they are hella reliable

Blowers, turbos especially in the older American cars like ford thunderbird and Buick’s regal, Revi, park avenue has always been known as unreliable and troublesome.
The non supercharger 3.8 litre is very reliable.

I have the same year mine is pearl essence white and has everything except the head up display. I love it paid 3500.00 and nothing but basic maintenance. These Supercharged 3800 do need 93 octane or higher Premium fuel just FYI

@@michaelscofield2444 Yeah, as is the case for most SC, TC, or high performance NA vehicles. I've had a high end Maxima & an F150 Harley that both let you know they didn't like the weak sauce.

My 98 normally asprirated engine has been great until it sat for a year and now the electrical system has gone beserk. Only 70K miles on it. Besides a new battery- Help Please!!!

Autozone sells aux for cassette players.
How much road noise and wind noise do you get? Is it a quiet ride?
Almost none. Just the engine and the occasional whine of the supercharger.

Buick is built to be the non pretentious Cadilac. They ride like a dream. No wind noise. Basically you have the Cadilac, but it’s my opinion that Buick’s ride is smoother than the Cadilac. Only one other ride is close. The 98 Oldsmobile.

Is it expensive to mantain?
Not really, just basic maintenance. Good engine, and fine transmission. One thing, Don't overlook the supercharger oil, it gets changed too.. but other than that nope.

Your A/C display is easy to fix it a hour job you just have to take it apart and sauder the three prongs back together and then it will come back to life with 5.00 worth of sauder

They should have kept the "Roadmaster" name for this style, and called Lucerne "LeSabre".
