The strap looks awesome, but what is the point of the tether? Wouldn't the strap go through the spring bars without it anyway and install the same way?
If you're referring to the Tether v2, it is entirely optional. But many of my customers appreciate the flexibility of my elastic straps and simply desire that extra bit of insurance when the going gets rough 👍

question... I plan on using this strap with an apple watch ultra... if I install the teather then it would affect the sensors right?

Looks nice, but seems too complicated compared to a simple NATO. Sorry, just my opinion.
