Watching 4 years later, and it made my heart so happy every time he said "Jackson Square" - little did he know he'd have his own little guy named Jackson one day! What a blessing.
French Quarter is by far my favorite moderate resort. I love how quiet and calm it is after a long day at the park or on an off day when you just want to relax!
I live in New Orleans. It's pretty cool to see that Disney actually captured a LOT of stuff that New Orleans has and they did it very well! Every little thing from the way the French Quarter overhang looked, to the horse poles on the sidewalks, even the different types of architecture from the buildings. They even did the street names in the bathroom tile on the floor sidewalks. If you liked that place, you definitely have to visit New Orleans sometime. What's funny is I find myself saying "I'm glad I didn't stay in Port Orleans", not because of bad quality or anything, but because it's done so well, i'd feel like I never left home if I actually did stay at Port Orleans. I don't know about you, but when I go on vacation, I don't want to be reminded of home while i'm away. NOLA has it's charm... but it can be a little overwhelming after a while, and sometimes you just want to get away from it all. After seeing what they served at the restaurant you visited, it's exactly the same kind of stuff they have here in New Orleans. Po' Boys, jambalaya, shrimp, cajun stuff, etc. I would definitely want to stay at a different resort in order to try different foods, as opposed to the same stuff I get here at home (for a lot cheaper too, $20 dollars for that plate, heavens no!!! Not in NOLA.) I'm curious if those beignets are any better than the ones they make here. Honestly, I don't get all the hype from the folks when they eat beignets. I tried them once, didn't really like them. They're not very tasty and can be very messy if you get the powder sugar on them. Also, those "larger than life beads" you saw... No joke, they're actually that big. In fact, there are some that are WAY BIGGER than that. And yes, they throw them at you from the Mardi Gras parade floats, and yes... they hurt :P At 0:56 , that's Bacchus! The roman god of wine. That's why he has all those little grapes around his face. The Bacchus parade is actually one of the biggest Mardi Gras parades here in NOLA. I went earlier this year. It was INSANE!!! (in a good way :P ) But yeah! Definitely plan on visiting NOLA sometime! It's mad fun and there's lots to do here! :D
Stayed here on our wedding night and I always tell my husband that it's our home at WDW now. 💜 Danced in the lobby in my dress with music from the bar that night. My absolute favorite.
The massage chairs are completely brilliant. Parents with exhausted legs and feet can sit in the arcade getting a chair massage and let the kids run around the arcade. We were so thankful for them when we were at Disney. More hotels need to have the massage chairs.
Greetings...I wanted to share something & I apologize for the wordiness but I am writing from my heart. First, our little, sweet family love Disney & we trek to Fort Wilderness to camp every November. We also love the Trackers & watch your videos daily during our homeschooling breaks. On August 24, 2017, my father passed away from a very short battle with Cancer. My husband put this video on for our children to watch & we went outside so I could emotionally process the news & pull myself together. After many mindful moments, I came inside to join my family. My children, not knowing what happened, were so happy & excited to show me the "dancing alligators" & I remember thinking "We will be alright & life goes on. My dad would want that." It has been almost a year & we have grown & healed so much. I have always appreciated everyday but God is good all the time. We watched this video again today & I remember that realization like it was yesterday. So, I am always thankful for Tim Tracker but on that particular Thursday, he helped my family more than he could imagine. We hope to meet you both one day. God bless & take care. Traci Leigh
I got myself a notion One I know that you'll understand To set the world in motion By reaching out for each other's hand Maybe we'll discover what we should have known all along One way or another together's where we both belong If we listen to each other's heart We'll find we're never too far apart And maybe love is the reason why For the first time ever we're seeing it eye to eye...... Love that song! Thanks for another good resort vlog!
This is our go to resort. We have stayed here every trip for the past 15 years. We love how close it is to Disney Springs and how quiet it is. Its size makes it easy to navigate for the easily lost & THE POOL IS JUST PLAIN COOL! Some terms to use to describe POFQ or any other resort - creative, spacious, well themed, lush, peaceful, welcoming. Thanks for the review!
Our favourite resort! We've stayed 3 times now spending between 10 and 21 days each time. Quiet, friendly and with beautiful theming - Disney at its best. Glad you love it too!
By far, this is the BEST video I've seen of POFQ. This is the resort I want to stay at when I next go to WDW, and this video just further proved why. Thank you for making it!
OF all the resorts you've visited so far (recently), this one is my favorite! I love New Orleans, and the architecture here is so lovely and authentic. As you said, it's quiet; plus, the shade trees are mature and magnificent, the gorgeous riverside is idyllic, and I love the adorable little streets and sign posts. I adore the smaller, quaint, intimate feel of this place. I'd stay here in a heartbeat.
Thank you for starting the hotel tours up again. We just stayed at our first Disney hotel, All Star's Music. Next time we want to stay somewhere else and your videos are helping make our decision a lot easier. Excited to see more 😁
My boyfriend and I are working on seeing all of the hotels also, and decided to take the ferries for the first time, and see Port Orleans! The Sea Monster in the pool at the French Quarter is much larger in person! We kept thinking back to this video and thought it was cool to see things in person, after watching you guys for so long! We went to Riverside too, and POWERLINE was playing! We laughed for a good five minutes on the irony. Thanks for everything you do, we can't wait to see more videos (we've already been watching for two years) and now that we live in Orlando, we can't wait to use some of your experiences to our advantage. Thank you Tim and Jenn! (:
The French Quarter has changed a tiny bit since my wife and I were there in 2007. We usually stay at Pop Century, but this time we're staying at The French Quarter for a week in September starting on the 10th. We're in our 70's and still love to visit Disney. I think you do a wonderful job showing people around the parks. Many thanks and keep up the good work.
My 13year old daughter has been having major depression, and I have been showing her your videos, she says that she likes these TimTheTracker videos lol. I wanna thank you for putting a smile on her face.(Its hard to get a smile out of her lol)
That is sort of an inside joke within the Disney community. Disney calls them toothpick holders, I don't know if that is to remain innocent or if it has something to do with a business tactic to pay less on taxes for not selling anything alcohol related.
If you wanna be even more confused: people in the college program who are under 21 can get in trouble if a "toothpick holder" is found during an inspection... Even if used as an actual holder
We just stayed there in May! It was really great for the kids. They had a lot of fun on the playground and in the pool, met a lot of new friends. At that time the fire pit was closed due to the drought Florida was in. They do have carriages walk along the buildings. Our stay they had a lot of golf carts as well on the roads. The kids also loved the beignets! Best time is at night when they are not so busy, they are hot.
This Disneyworld resort tour series has been stupendous, fabulous, topnotch, a real bang up corker, hype, unsurpassed, nifty, out of sight groovy and also very neat. You make me want to visit, but I'm afraid it might take a month to get everything done. Thumbs up!
You asked for some more descriptive words how about, brilliant, fabulous, grand, splendid, sensational, fantastic, marvelous, or outstanding. All good descriptions to describe your vlogs! They're the best!!
Port Orleans is one of our favorites!! It's always very quiet and quaint. We love both Riverside and FQ however we love how small FQ is. And I said the same exact thing as we were walking down the path by the river.... absolutely gorgeous! Great walk through, Tim!
Yay, thanks for this. My partner, friends and I are heading over to Orlando from the UK in less than 5 weeks. We're staying at POFQ. So it's great to see an in depth tour from a great TH-camr!
LOVE French Quarter, we've stayed there twice and it's by far our favorite resort for the reasons you listed. It's the smallest but so beautiful and quiet. The pool is super fun too.
I love these resort tours! 😀 Oh: some additional adjectives--fabulous, picturesque, charming, enchanting, bedazzling, mesmerizing, engaging, superb, breathtaking, humbling, inspired, refreshing. But you know what Tim--sometimes "cool" and "awesome" are exactly the right words! 😀
Can't wait to be here in May! Thanks so much for this, our son Owen is Autistic, so being able to show him videos so he knows what to expect is really helpful. He also recently wrote to you & Jen so I just wanted to say thanks for reading it on your mail log, he was so chuffed! Best wishes from the UK!
Hi guys!Thank you so much for the tour video - we’re stopping at POFQ in a couple of weeks, and it’s the first time we’ve stopped on resort after 15 years of visiting Disney! Your video calmed our nerves about what to expect, and made us so excited! We’ve been watching your videos every night now to get hints and tips - something we’ve never done before on all our years! Keep up the good work!
My wife and I stayed here on my honeymoon back in October! Loved everything about the place!! Short lines for transportation to and from the parks, boat took us to Disney springs and/or Epcot right from out front our room and a pool bar!! The only complaint we had was Sassagoula was under renovation while we there. One less bar to drink at..
The massage chairs in the Arcade are genius!!! It's awesome for the parents so you can sit down and chill instead of standing bored next to your kid playing games.
I stayed there a few months ago. Was very very happy. Bus lines are short and the food, rooms, etc all beat what I was expecting. For the price, it was well worth it. It was very quiet when we stayed there. Highly recommend it for families.
Brings back memories!! The courtyard next to building 5 is meant to be a small football field? The lamp posts denote the end zones. We played ball out there and others joined in. Great fun.
My husband and I had planned a visit to Caribbean Beach in 2002 but it was being refurbished and Port Orleans French Quarter was the only one available in our price range. I was hesitant but as it turned out, I loved it! I liked it so much that now I want to go to New Orleans for real. Thanks for the memories.
We are coming down to Disney and staying in the French Quarter at the end of March this video Helped us make our decision where to stay. Thank you for all you do at the parks and resorts with all the updates. I look forward to new Disney videos.
We are planning a trip to this resort in a couple months and this video was super helpful!! Our son is battling inoperable metastasized brain cancer and has hydrocephalus and adrenal insufficiency as well. He unfortunately suffers from severe chroic pain due to his spinal tumors so we will be visiting a near by Children's Hospital while we are there for pain management rehabilitation hopefully. So I appreciate your tour around so it gave me a good lay of the grounds because he uses a wheelchair often. Thanks again for a very informative video!!!! PS, we love you guys and follow you. Your videos give us much needed distractions when he's stuck on a heating pad!!!! Thanks!!! ❤️
Love this resort. We have never stayed here we usually stay at riverside, but we come to the French Quarter to go the pool. Thanks for the tour!! Such a gorgeous setting!!
thanks for the video, the port orleans was my first disneyworld hotel i went to when i was 11, it was nice to see it 5 years later. keep up the great work
We stayed at French quarter for our Christmas honeymoon! Our room was big and it was quite. Doesn't hurt that we love New Orleans. Highly recommend staying there!
Love, love, love French Quarter! Your video brought back really [stupendous] memories! Stayed at OKW this year though and although it was lovely, I prefered the smaller layout of FQ and you’re right about the trees giving welcome shade. Great video Tim!
Love the resort series vlogs! These will definitely help a lot people trying to decide what Disney World resort they would want to stay at on their vacation! Great job!!!
Omg I have stayed here 2 times and its amazing!! So clean, pool wasn't crowded just awesome. We stayed in another resort for Disney and it wasn't the same at all!
We stayed at POFQ in 2004 in bldg 7. I like the fact that most of the buildings had "quiet" areas so as to not be disturbing to those sleeping and resting. No muffalatas on the menu? Our, then 2 yr old, son loved it there. He braved the dragon slide all by himself. I think that made him impervious to danger. Ha! Love the videos.
Thanks for this video. We'll be staying there at French Quarter in October and videos like yours make me feel much better about our resort choice. Also, words like "cool" and "awesome" are fine.
I never stayed here but it looks beautiful and peaceful! Thanks for doing these resort yours! Can't wait to see All Star Movies as I'm staying there my next visit and have never been there.
Sooooooo many memories! Vacationed back in '94 and '96 back when it was one of the cheapest hotels (Before the All-Star Resorts). The food court used to be a lot more....crazy ;)
Oh my gosh!!! This just makes me want to stay at The French Quarter even more!!!! Now, to get the hubby on board 😀 Thanks for doing these resort tours!!!! ✨✨
After we saw your video when you stayed here. We took the boat over to check it out,and stayed there on or next stay. I think this is our favorite resort now. We love the size of the resort, or is the perfect size. Had a great housekeeper too. Wee plan to stay here more times.
We stay at Port Orleans Riverside and LOVE it. You can use the pool at french quarter as well, which we did do. It is bigger, but also pretty to walk around. On some nights Yeeha Bob does a piano interactive show there. It's great. Maybe when you go there you can check it out, but it is at night. 8 maybe? Love this resort series you are doing. Thanks! Also, descriptive word suggestions.....clever, thoughtful, creative, artistic, impressive, neat, fantastic. I think you probably use most, if not all, of those already, but you asked for a few suggestions.
My husband and I stayed at Riverside Port Orleans back in 2003 for a week after he came back from his duty in Iraq. It was very nice and we really enjoyed it. We did walk around the French quarter and it is beautiful too.
I really like these tours that you're doing. You do such a great job, Tim! I'd love it if you would do a final video that kind of gives an overview of the resorts by type, inexpensive, moderate, etc, sort of giving your impressions of what you liked/didn't like. You could make separate videos of each type and just talk about the resorts a bit.
Looks soooo nice there and based on the tour you’ve done we decided to book 2 weeks in 2019. We’ve done the Art of Animation last year and we’ve watched every tour you’ve done to pick our next holiday. Fantastic vlogs, very informative and loved by my 9 year old daughter
Watching 4 years later, and it made my heart so happy every time he said "Jackson Square" - little did he know he'd have his own little guy named Jackson one day! What a blessing.
Nothing explains Florida weather better than Tim explaining how to avoid rain while looking out over beams of sunshine!
French Quarter is by far my favorite moderate resort. I love how quiet and calm it is after a long day at the park or on an off day when you just want to relax!
Agreed. This was my go to resort before I moved to Orlando.

Thank you! 36 days until check in and I get to see my mom again!!! 4th wedding anniversary and baby's first birthday! Soooo excited!
Stayed here on our wedding night and I always tell my husband that it's our home at WDW now. 💜 Danced in the lobby in my dress with music from the bar that night. My absolute favorite.
I really love these tours of hotels, so informative and great for people who are stuck between hotels to decide what would work best for them! 😊

Fantastic, splendid, swell, spiffy, neat, great, dandy, hip!
Katie Malo stupendous
Katie Malo amazing
Katie Malo Wicked (with a Boston accent)!
Stellar
Good words! I was also thinking "clever" or "immersive" depending on the wonderful thing being described.
Enjoyed our stay at Port Orleans. Being from Louisiana I was skeptical but Disney hit it out of the park! Great resort!
I'm from the 504 and the theming to this resort is spot on. Even the rain and humidity.
Thank you for touring my favorite resort! It is so quiet and small enough there is never a long walk from the buses to your room.
Love this resort-it's so fun and beautiful and yet very peaceful too.
I got myself a notion
One I know that you'll understand
To set the world in motion
By reaching out for each other's hand
Maybe we'll discover what we should have known all along
One way or another together's where we both belong
If we listen to each other's heart
We'll find we're never too far apart
And maybe love is the reason why
For the first time ever we're seeing it eye to eye......
Love that song! Thanks for another good resort vlog!
Port Orleans was my favorite Disney hotel experience - just found the overall atmosphere had a very unique charm and peaceful feeling
I love the atmosphere there!
This is our go to resort. We have stayed here every trip for the past 15 years. We love how close it is to Disney Springs and how quiet it is. Thank you so much for this video Tim! My husband and I are staying there for the first time in December and this got us excited!
Our favourite resort! We've stayed 3 times now spending between 10 and 21 days each time. Quiet, friendly and with beautiful theming - Disney at its best. Glad you love it too!
This is exactly where I’m staying when I go I love New Orleans and I want that vibe
By far, this is the BEST video I've seen of POFQ. This is the resort I want to stay at when I next go to WDW, and this video just further proved why. Thank you for making it!

I love the hotel tours. Please keep doing them! Would be great to see their lobbies at Christmas as well.
You got to see the Grand Floridian during Christmas one time. So pretty
I have never been to Florida, so I live vicariously through these videos haha.
Powerline!!I loved the Goofy movie! Brings back so many childhood memories!
Such a great band!
I stayed there last time I went, I think it's my favorite moderate resort.
My family loved French Quarter. Small, shaded and quiet.
"toothpick holder" haha gotta keep it innocent
That is sort of an inside joke within the Disney community. Disney calls them toothpick holders, I don't know if that is to remain innocent or if it has something to do with a business tactic to pay less on taxes for not selling anything alcohol related.
Scrooge Mcduck!...would be prouddd(Adam the Woo voice)
@Thetimtracker I never considered the second part!
TheTimTracker This is themed to my Hometown. I would feel Right at home if we stayed here. Riverside is themed to homes and mansions along the River
Could you someday tour the campground? I am very interested in learning more about it.

Port Orleans French Quarter is my favorite resort. Small, quiet, well-themed and great food. And if you get tired of it, just walk over to Riverside.

Hi Tim, you could say Amazing, incredible, fabulous, delightful, sweet.
This was the first hotel I ever stayed at when I was six years old. I love these videos to help remind me of my childhood ☺️
Definitely some really nice scenery in this hotel. Love all that fountains and the views over water.

You are very welcome!
Love this resort. We have never stayed here we usually stay at riverside, but we come to the French Quarter to go the pool.
Thanks for the tour!! Such a gorgeous setting!!
LOL they knew Tim was going and named the buildings 5 6 7..... avoiding misspelling 😂 so funny !! Expensive lunch for one person but looks yummy 😋!!!!
thanks for the video, the port orleans was my first disneyworld hotel i went to when i was 11, it was nice to see it 5 years later. keep up the great work
We stayed at French quarter for our Christmas honeymoon! Our room was big and it was quite. Doesn't hurt that we love New Orleans. Highly recommend staying there!

I love the magnolia trees too! My daughter's name is Magnolia 🌳
I'm glad you are going to more of the hotels and doing reviews. The information is very helpful. I'm looking forward to seeing more locations!
We stayed here for RunDisney marathon weekend last month. It is 100% my aesthetic, I LOVED it!!
Im glad you and Jen were able to stay at French quarter before Tim it looks so awesome im glad it didnt rain too bad my friend.
Thanks for this video. We'll be staying there at French Quarter in October and videos like yours make me feel much better about our resort choice. Also, words like "cool" and "awesome" are fine.
Superb, Hunky dory, Crackerjack, wonderful, Cat's Whiskers, peachy, polished

I never stayed here but it looks beautiful and peaceful! Thanks for doing these resort yours! Can't wait to see All Star Movies as I'm staying there my next visit and have never been there.
Sooooooo many memories! Vacationed back in '94 and '96 back when it was one of the cheapest hotels (Before the All-Star Resorts). The food court used to be a lot more....crazy ;)
i enjoy these hotel tour videos. keep at it.
Will do! Thank you!
So do I... very relaxing. I love resort hopping!
Thanks so much for these resort tours! Love you guys so much!
My favourite resort. It is small so lines for bus to and from park and waits for food are small too.
I just stayed here for my trip and then finished it off by staying at the grand flo!!! I am missing this for sure!!!
We love POFQ! We have stayed there twice. I love it's compact size...you are never far from the food court or pool.
Oh my gosh!!! This just makes me want to stay at The French Quarter even more!!!! Now, to get the hubby on board 😀
Thanks for doing these resort tours!!!! ✨✨
Just when I'm planning my Disney trip....And Tim has a video for everything. Love it! ❤️ Thank You!
When you go to Riverside, you have to go see one of Bob's shows. He's the best pianist on the property. (With the best hair)
Was awesome seeing you in the garage, hope I didn't seem weird was a bit speechless and star struck!
3 bits in one word! A-maz-ing!
This is my husband and I's favourite resort. Can't wait to be back in December!!!
Splendid, marvelous, wonderful, fantastic, amazing, excellent, terrific, incredible, phenomenal, fabulous, awesome, enjoyable
Wolfgang Puck Express in the Marketplace has always been one of our must do eateries. Great food!
I'm excited to try the new restaurant!
Back at POFQ in 3 weeks and cannot wait. It is a fantabulous resort.
