  • Lighting is extremely important in every scene. Luckily Solaris gives us some great tools to work with lights in Houdini. This video looks at lighting and using the Light Mixer LOP in Houdini 20 inside Solaris and Karma.

    This is all great for creating a scene from scratch, but what if you want to recreate a scene made in OBJ format within LOPs? I'm not talking about importing lights and cameras; I'm interested in recreating them or baking them within LOPs to have proper light and camera nodes instead of a bunch of scene import nodes. Is that possible? While you can certainly recreate them manually, is there an easier way to do it?

      You would need to recreate them manually if you aren't importing them but I don't really know why you wouldn't import and then use edit camera lops
